Food I would give 3 stars and the service a -5. I understand the waitress was alone and made allowances for that. I can not forgive her not once even looking our direction as she passed for 30 min after we were ready for our bill. My drink was empty for that whole time. Meh... Went a few times while in town working in 2013. Not too good, havent been back since--until now. Walked into a very off-putting smell of pine sol or some other cleaner. So strong you could literally taste it. Yuck! Very friendly service! I really wanted to like because of this! Good size portions. But, was likely the driest, most flavorless pulled pork I ever had. Even flooding it with some sub par-probably a no name commercial sauce didnt make it easier to eat. "BBQ Smoked Beans" side was not accurate. This was probably the worst food I've been served at a barbecue place. The ribs looked great. They were flavorless and dry. The brisket was not brisket it was some sort of pulled meat maybe beef maybe pork. It too has little to know flavor. The coleslaw was sweet and soupy. The potato salad tasted like it came from Reeser's tub that you get at Costco. The pink lemonade tasted soapy. I don't recommend at all. read more

My friend and I got some food from there once, I had a big piece of hair wrapped around my fry and when I told them about it, the stupid waitress did NOT apologize and only gave us a 10 percent discount. Very very bad service when you have an hour for lunch. There is only 3 of you at your table and it takes them an hour and 5 mins and you still don't have your food and had to walk out with out eating. everyone around you has food and even the two groups that came in behind you and all the waitress said is that they are working on it and that they got busy.. PLUS TO TOP THAT OFF ONE OF OUR SODAS HAD SOME KIND OF SCUM FLOATING ON THE TOP. I do not normal write a review but the waitress keep telling us that the food was coming and 20 mins went by then she came out again and that they are getting it ready to bring it out to us then 7 mins went by and we just had to leave because we were already late getting back. When we were walking out her and another waitress were standing at the counter. We told them we had to get back and that they had serviced everyone in the place and had their food.. All the can say was they got busy.. whatever! It's not like this was our first time there we go there almost every week and they know we have an hour for lunch. When we finally got the food it was very cold and they also ran out of the food we ordered even though it was supposed to be all you could eat . PLASTIC IN MY FOOD & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Ordered the open faced beef brisket & loaded baked potato with brisket. First I arrived at the time they gave me and waited outside in my car as they told me to do because of Covid. Waited 25 min. before calling them and telling them I was outside. After another 7 min. someone came out and went to the only other car in the parking lot first that was red in color and mine is grey. I had the baked potato first for lunch. It looked nothing like the picture on the web page and tasted just as bad. For dinner I had the open faced brisket which was more mashed potatoes than anything. I found some pieces of plastic in it so ended up throwing it away. I called and asked to talk to a manager but was told there was not one there. The next morning I called and spoke to the woman that owns in it and explained to her what happened and also that there were some other service charges on there that raised the price in which I was not told about initially and had never placed a carryout with them so was disappointed I was not made aware of the up charge. She told me that when the brisket is cut there does end up being pieces of plastic in it because of the plastic packaging. She informed me that she was unable to give me a refund because they were struggling with Covid. Long story short, after arguing with her about the up charge and the below average food plus the plastic I told her I would post online about this. She then decided O' I'll refund the open face brisket since there was plastic in it. I was tired of arguing with her and honestly felt bad for her business because of Covid so I just decided to take the loss on the rest of my money. Who knows if there was plastic in the loaded potatoes because that had brisket in it also. I understand the situation and with her struggling but totally the wrong way for her to handle the situation. She should have given me a full refund, told me she was sorry and that she will instruct her employees to tell people about the up charges for carryout and paying with a card. She should have also given me a gift certificate or something also but truthfully I will never eat there again and wouldn't even given a gift certificate to anyone that I know and have them deal with those people. SAD VERY SAD. Would never try and hurt a business in this town but people have the right to know. Funny thing is I was going to order more food for some people at the hospital for all their sacrifice during the Covid outbreak but went with another restaurant instead. SAD VERY SAD. read more

Have ever been to a place where you pull up in the drive way and the smell of smoke and piles of dry lumber tell you that you've arrived? I've driven by many times wondering about this place. My family and I gave it a try one Tuesday night. My wife and son had a pibb, and I had an iced tea. No nightly special to be had. My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich. My 6 yr old wanted ribs. They insisted that he order the adult meal (half rack) plus 2 sides (peculiar!) So we got pickled cucumbers for my wife and the boy an applesauce. I ordered the brisket meal. I asked if the mashed potatoes were real or instant. "Oh, they're real" the waitress retorted. So I got the "smoked BBQ beans" (because the smoking pit out back says this should be good ) and the "real" mashed potatoes. After nearly 30 minutes of wait (um, it's smoked meat, it should already be done) we got the food. The wife's sandwich was very dry and bland. She liked the pickled cucumber and onions. We were all eager to try the ribs (since we got a ton for a little boy). First, they weren't cut. They were sauced so messy to dismantle. We each had one each and didn't go back. Brought most it home for the dog. Then mine. Did you know they must grow potatoes that taste like they came out of a box plus gravy out of the pouch? Did you know that smoked BBQ beans is code for overly sweetened baked beans from a can? And worse yet, and this is the one that takes the cake, brisket is code for arm roast. Pulled, not sliced with no fat cap and next to no bark. I make slow cooker pot roast that tastes better...and at least mine comes with real potatoes. We didn't even tip. A first for me. read more
