I called the waitress over at 7:45 she said they were backed up in the kitchen. I don't believe this was true. Everyone around us had their food except us. I believe she didn't get the order in or they lost the ticket when the meal came at around 8 o'clock. The baked potato would not melt butter. You could hold it in your hand. It was cold. I ordered grilled fish. I got fried fish. My girlfriend had chicken fried steak. It's actually chicken fried chicken she had mashed potatoes. They reminded us both of when we were in high school. We get those potatoes that you're not quite sure they're potatoes. I called the waitress over. I told her about my meal. She said she'd have them remake it. I said no thank you she said she'd take it off the bill. It's not about money. I can afford to eat wherever I want. She didn't offer to do anything else and I believe us having to wait almost an hour for our food was really ridiculous. Needless to say I'll have second thoughts if I ever decide to eat there again.

Nauvoo only has 1100 residents so everything is locally owned and operated so if you want a late check in they leave your key in a black mail box to get after hours. What is funny is that they still use real keys so don't lose them! The room was small but clean and it was $75/night. It has one full size bed and a stand up shower only. The bed was not real comfortable but it was not horrible either. I would bring my own pillows if you can. Just as a disclaimer, I hate most hotel pillows!

It had a few recent upgrades such as flat screen TV and a new sink. The beds were comfortable. While we usually do not channel surf on trips, this time around we did and found the in room TV channel list was not accurate, no big deal to us, we just had to flip manually into the upper digits of stations with plenty of viewing options.
