The bad - - the cabin is located high up on the mountain (good) but the road is very narrow & it's got a lot of sharp turns. If you're an older person & don't like to drive at night you won't be able to leave the cabin. - the hot tub is filled with well water & it smells bad. Also after one use it started to make brown foam. - the Internet is a joke. You'd be better to use a Motorola Razr for Internet. - the deck could use a remodel We booked our cabin rental for ten people. We were able to get a deal through the website where we got 3 days for the price of 2. The check in at the office was a breeze. I'm (as my avatar shows) a younger male. I've always been told that I look young. I checked in with my boyfriend who equally looks young, however we're both 30. The woman at the check in desk was very friendly, although she asked if we were going to be "partying". I'm not sure if she thought we were going to be setting things on fire & screaming the whole night. I like a drink(s) but I don't get crazy. I understand that she had to ask, but I also signed a damages release so if we did, they had my card on file. The cabin is located high up a mountain. It allows for GORGEOUS views of the valley & of the sunset. The road to get up the cabin is a treacherous one. It's one lane in some parts & at the base of the mountain you have to turn onto what looks like drive ways but they're just connecting roads. Your cars GPS will not find it. The cabin itself was clean. It was a very comfortable cabin to stay in. It has "wifi" internet. The Internet was so slow it was useless. A six person hot tub is on the somewhat rotten deck. The hot tub had a very odd odor that after a call from the office we discovered is filled with well water & that caused the smell. It was a rotten egg/chemical smell. After one use of the tub it started to make brown foam. It was a bummer. You're provided with a metal box to put the trash in to keep away the animals. We didn't see any animals unfortunately but we did find a dead scorpion under one of the downstairs beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay & would rent again from TimberCreek Cabin Rentals.

Check in is at 3 pm, upon check in the rooms were not clean, the bathrooms were dirty, the living and dining room were not clean. If there is a delay the expectation is to inform your guests so they are aware to hold off on coming by for a bit. 2. Lack of communication from the host to the above and among other things. 3. **** 15 mins after check in 2 people walked in without knocking, waiting to be let in or identifying themselves. The people in my group and I were very confused and felt very unsafe as we were not alerted by the host anyone was coming by. Upon calling the host, you are routed to the managing department, i spoke to two individuals a young women who was not apologetic or helpful and then the manager Adam. Adam was also very rude and unapologetic. He told me that these were the cleaning ladies and that check in time was not gaurenteed at 3 pm and that we can go to the office for food while we wait. This was not ok as i already bought a ton of food for our stay and informed him that i was aware it was no gaurenteed but i did expect some sort of communication of this. He then hung up the phone on me or at least tried to. I then had to sit on the phone listening to him and his colleagues laugh at the situation. 4. Th people who walked in to clean were not wearing masks or following COVID 19 safety measures. 5. Sink in the kitchen did not drain properly deeming it unusable. Moreover the dishwasher did work and would leak. There are many other beautiful cabins in this area, id stear away from this one.

It is also easily within driving distance of Pigeon Forge, the foothills pathway and many other sites. The property backs up to the state park and has a beautiful screened in porch, which allows you to comfortably experience nature day or night, either in a rocking chair or the hot tub! The owners are so friendly and hospitable, I really can't recommend it enough.

Why would my family call this business when we arrived (even though they told us when we got the key they were closing for the day)to come out and clean a cabin we just spend the last two days driving to? We were exhausted and the last thing we wanted to do was have to wait for the crew to come in and do there job the right way because they failed the first time. Why 13 people would lie about the cabins shape when we got there is ridiculous. We even have pictures to prove the cabin was not up to par. The sad fact is that my family was interested in purchasing this cabin until we were treated so poorly and rudely by the staff. Just do not waste your time with these unprofessional practices.

The setting is gorgeous. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so there was no noise, but close enough if you wanted to get into it. We had 16 in our group and sleeping accommodations were great. The first issue was the kitchen. It is super small. So, all the counter space (that should be for eating area) had to be used as food storage. The next issue was the fridge. Upon arrival, the fridge was very full and it struggled to keep up. As we used food, it got too cold and froze things...frustrating. Next was the exterior. The front looked overgrown (bushes, etc.). It didn't look horrible, but it rendered some windows useless. There was also trim that had fallen, down spouts off and rotted window casings. It seems nit picky, but when you pay over 7k, your expectations are high. Lastly, there were bugs. Ants, there were quite a few, so you have to be diligent to keep dishes clean. The other pest we saw were roaches. Not a lot but a dozen or so over the course of our stay. Again, for the price we paid...that should not have been a thing. I believe with a bit of TLC, this would be a repeat stay. However, as it stands, not going to happen. The last issue was the Foosball table is rough and not really usable. The air hockey table was okay, but the paddles were busted (we actually bought new ones on Amazon and had them shipped there). There was a picture of a pool table in their listing, but it doesn't exist. Hopefully, the caretakers will get on the same page with the owners and this place will become a real gem. As it is now, not so much.
