    Espresso Dul Sal

Stopped by Saturday afternoon. I'd skip going thru their little one way parking lot and find somewhere on the street. There were a lot of spots when I was there!

Smoky Hollow Roasters is a cool little coffee shop in downtown El Segundo, they roast their own beans (delicious) and it is a happening spot for people to stop in, grab a drink and hang out to get some work done. I was in town pretty briefly, but definitely made it a point to stop here for the Espresso Du' Sal (multiple times!) I highly recommend, the fresh house espresso over the whipped sweet cream and little bit of black salt on the top is a winning combination, and one I will keep thinking about fondly. Great service and knowledgeable staff. Parking can be a bit tricky, since the area is bustling, but nothing that can't be figured out. Their coffee is worth it!

I'm surprised it took me this long to get to Smoky Hollow Roasters in El Segundo. Great little spot in El Segundo off ES Blvd and Sierra. I'm always looking for great cafes and new places to do some WFH other at "home" :) The vibes of this place is awesome. I wish I took some photos but the place was pretty full for 15 minutes to closing on a Sunday. Lots of comfy seating, tables and chairs. There is even a few tables outside in the parking lot. They serve all the espresso drinks and more. There is also a small pastries case, but I recommend you grab those at the beginning of the day. I purchased the 2nd to the last croissant and I knew it wasn't going to be as fresh as it could be. The barista who took my order was friendly. It was his 2nd day working at SH, but he knew what he was doing! I had a regualr hot latte with regular milk. When walking out the door after couple of sips, this tasted awesome! I went back in and asked the barista if he knew the beans they used today, but he didn't know.We both looked at the selection of beans left on the shelf and I went with the Papua New Guinea single origin beans as I'm also a home barista and love trying out new beans! I would give SH a 5 star rating, but they have a parking issue in front. They only have 2 spots available. You then have to locate parking on Sierra. Even on a late Sunda afternoon, the street was kinda full. If you work or live nearby and haven't come here, you need to do so - now! :)

I came here for the first time on a Saturday morning with an old friend who is a coffee aficionado and knows very well good coffee. I don't want to act clueless but I am honestly just a typical matcha girly and I was just there to catch up with my old friend who I had not seen in years. I l loved the vibe of the place it seems it was a great fit for all group sizes. Such as those who want to work or are on solo dates, couple and or groups. In addition to my delicious ice matcha I also had a steak sandwich which was ok a little stale.

    Matcha so refreshing

Met up with a friend and we sat outside because there was no indoor seating left. Looks like a hip industrial looking place and popular for those who work locally. I ordered and loved my matcha drink. Service was nice too. We sat outside under an umbrella which was fine as it was a nice, warm day. Initially, I couldn't see the place, so I drove around and finally spotted it. It's tucked away a bit and parking is scarce. Note there's some uphill residential parking if you don't mind walking downhill or uphill for that matter.

The inside is absolutely adorable. Lots of tables, and a perfect place to meet a friend or work from home. There isn't much parking though, only one parking spot and one ADA spot, but there's street parking up the hill/short walk away. The coffee was decent, and the food was your typical bakery items. I don't think they make them in house. We got a caramel latte, a croissant, and a cold brew. It's worth the stop in for the ambiance if you have never been, but the coffee/pastry was just ok!

Smoky Hollow Roasters hits the sweet spot between friendly café and welcoming community hub. Great for catching up over coffee, diving into conversation, or chilling with a board game. They offer a broad menu, fresh-roasted beans, and speedy service--all in a fun, relaxed setting perfect for a pit stop before the beach. If you're in the neighborhood or passing through El Segundo, it's definitely worth a stop.

Great coffee shop tucked away in an industrial area. It can get a little full but it's a good place to get some work done over the weekend. One of the few places that offers large cold brews (usually places only offer a 16oz option) which I appreciate because I drink a lot of coffee I didnt get to review the shop on my first visit but during that visit I was able to see the guy roasting the beans on the machine they have inside the shop, packaging up the beans, and placing them on the shelves which was pretty cool

    Coolest cooler for the creamers....

Really cool ambiance! Loved the open space and the smell of coffee beans getting roasted! The service was super friendly and nice. I got the spanish latte (half sweet) and it was disappointing. I get my lattes half sweet because I want to taste the bold flavor of Espresso. But after taking a sip of my latte, I realized that it tastes watered down coffee. They have private parking but if you have a been car/truck, I suggest parking on the street. I am glad that I checked off a bookmark, but I will not be going back anytime soon!

Dropped in here for some coffee after a workout with friends at nearby at Rising Waves gym. Great spot with a cool vibe. I could see myself hanging out here longer if I wasn't so sweaty. Wanted to try the whiskey cold brew but they had run out. So I opted for the maple syrup latte and it was delicious. The staff was really friendly and worked fast considering we were a fairly large group ordering. I'm not a local but I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. And I definitely want to try that old fashioned coffee.

I got their Matcha Pistachio croissant warmed up and it was delectable!! I also asked for a cup of hot water and the barista asked if I wanted a lemon in it :) There's only TWO parking spots in their lot in front but a lot of street parking that should be easy to find. One of the two parking spots is marked as compact. There were a lot of people in the coffee shop around noon on a weekday! Just a few tables, but more lounge chairs. There was some outdoor seating but the umbrellas weren't covering the tables. Would definitely recommend the matcha!!!

A cute shop with great baristas! It is hard to find parking so be aware you may have to walk a bit to find parking. I had their seasonal drink: pumpkin matcha latte and it was DELICIOUS. Such a great blend that really encompasses the flavors of fall. It is a chilled drink but I recommend getting it before they change it!

    Maple Syrup Coffee
    Kevin V.

Service was great with drinks being available quickly. The ambiance is very nice and casual. My 4-star rating is just because our "Maple Syrup" coffee really didn't taste anything like maple syrup at all. The coffee flavor was good and there was a nice sweetness. If you are looking for a "real" coffee, this seems like a good place. We were excited to taste maple syrup and disappointed while drinking it. Strongly recommend parking on the street outside the shop, the parking lot inside has only a few spots and is very hard to get in/out.

Just wanting to help with expectations if you've never been here.) This place serves purely traditional coffee. I'm new to living in this area in LA (I come from Orange County) and have been trying to visit the coffee shops out here. So far, this is THE BEST from what I've tried so far in terms of specialty coffee. (I don't have a long list that I've visited yet) It's quite refreshing actually, to see a coffee shop that's PURELY specialty coffee. No frills or thrills, just traditional basics done well. Decor is great. I tried the emerald series espresso as a flat white (two of them) which is marketed as rare and exotic. I didn't want to read much too much into it at the moment. You can tell that they really care about the craft because we were waiting unnecessarily long on a slow day. I over heard a 'How did that pull?' while waiting. I appreciate the care.

One of the employees in particular has been consistently unpleasant, making the experience feel unwelcoming the moment you walk in. Simple questions or requests are met with attitude instead of courtesy. From the long wait times to the employee taking a nap on the sofa, there has generally been a decline in the customer service in this establishment. On top of that, the quality of the drinks has declined. The espresso is clearly burnt and orders have been inconsistent, poorly made, and definitely not worth the price anymore. This used to be one of my favorite spots, but the combination of rude service and declining drink quality makes it hard to justify coming back. I hope management addresses these issues soon.
