We enjoyed the hiking with llamas. We enjoyed talking with Steve, our tour guide. We went on my 60th birthday, it was raining but we took our rain gear and the appropriate shoes so we were prepared. Steve kept us entertained throughout the tour. He gave us lots of information about the llamas beforehand. He picked out the perfect animals for each of us. Because of the rain, we were the only ones who showed us so it was like we had an exclusive private tour just for us. This is a Must-Do experience in Cosby, TN. We did the Trident Trail and although it was an uphill hike, the llamas stop to graze along the way giving you plenty of time for rest. We had my 5yo and 3yo and 3yo nephew with us when we went and it was so much fun. If I had known we could have taken them on hikes (the smalls), we would have done a hike. My kids are excited to go back to hike with the llamas one day. There were six of us (husband, myself, my sister and our 3 kids) when we visited today. Kids 3 and under are free to visit so I bought a Groupon for 4. I did not know how much llamas liked bananas until my 5yo was trying to come in the pen with her banana she was going to eat for a snack. All the llamas wanted a bite so she had to eat it outside. They also eat banana peels! So they got to feed all the peels to the llamas. They had so much fun feeding them banana peels and some other people visiting the farm brought graham crackers with them to feed to them. I will definitely bring some more bananas and graham crackers with us next time. The kids (and I) loved brushing the llamas and getting all the dust and burrs off of their fur. We all had fun and are looking forward to hiking with the llamas next time we visit. The owner, Steve was great and had a lot of awesome stories to tell. read more

While on a family trip to Gatlinburg TN, my family visited the Smoky Mountain Llama Treks and it was an experience of a lifetime! My wife loves the llamas and she was in heaven. There are about 14 llamas there, which you will get to meet and pick one to hike with! The guide is very knowledgeable about llamas and will make sure you are comfortable with them before you head out! If I had done anything differently we would have done a longer trip to get more time with them. It flies by and once it's over you'll be kind of sad to have to say goodby. We walked Oscar, Walker and Chuck Norris. They are located about 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge but it's a pretty nice drive and worth the time to get there! read more

I took my wife here for her birthday because she loves llamas. We had a very nice time. All the llamas on our hike were well behaved and used to human interaction. The owner/guide was very nice, although I think it would be better for him to talk more about llamas during the hike than military and celebrities. It would be a great opportunity to teach people about these great animals! We did the one hour hike, as that's all my wife's previous injuries would allow her to do. Some of the trail is a steep uphill climb, but I think it's doable for most people. If you go, bring graham crackers, as it's one of their favorite treats. Overall, I would recommend this! read more

Fantastic experience! A+++ Would highly recommend. The llamas were absolutely delightful, and our guide Steve was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable and we had great conversations while hiking around the Firefox Mountain Adventure Park property. The property is gorgeous, has a creek and a waterfall (when it's rainy enough), and there are a few chickens and a bull to see as well as a suspension bridge and some other fun features. We had such a great time there we ended up going back the next day to do the ziplines. read more

Absolutely the best activity in the Smoky mountains!! We live in knoxville and have been everywhere twice so trust me when I say this. It was such a pleasure to do and the owner Steve is a passionate person who wants to help make the world a better place. I kept stopping for photos and he was super patient. When I apologized to Steve for all the pictures he said "This is your hike, not mine and I'm happy to see you enjoying yourself" The Llamas were so loved and taken care of. We almost questioned going because of some lunatic one star review saying the place was dirty. It's not one bit true and what made us proceed anyway was seeing that jerks multiple other negative reviews on yelp from hotel pools giving him a rash to Restaurants making him sick. You really can't please everyone in this world haha We had so much fun that we are coming back again very soon and i will be sending multiple friends to enjoy themselves too! read more

We added this to our Smoky Mountain vacation at the last minute and we are so glad we did. We booked the shorter walk with the llamas and it was definitely worth the money. Steve really cares about his llamas. He took a lot of time to introduce them and allow us to bond and pick a llama to walk with. Three of the llamas were "retired" pros that had previously carried heavy loads to the top of Mount Leconte, named Maximus, Oscar and Curly. They were so easy to walk with and helped us climb. The fourth animal that my smaller daughter picked was a recent arrival and still being trained. Steve was very patient and helpful in assisting my daughter to walk him and she had a great successful experience. The trail was initially uphill but anyone in reasonably good health should have no issues doing the hike. You can take as many breaks as you need and go at your own pace. Wear comfortable walking shoes with good tread. The trail was also in the shade which is perfect when walking in the summer heat and humidity. Steve is very outgoing and friendly and was understanding that we underestimated how long it would take us to drive to his farm. He was not upset when we showed up a few minutes late. We just fell in love with our llamas and were sad to leave them at the end of the trek. The llamas are sweet and not at all intimidating. As a bonus, Steve's two big dogs trailed along. Allow yourself plenty of time to find the farm. We had zero cell phone coverage in the area, so I would recommend taking a copy of the directions on the website, they are accurate. Steve's driveway is unpaved but we had no issues navigating it with our small rental car. Recommend! read more

I have been coming to the Smoky Mountains for 30 some odd years now and I can safely say this is my most favorite experience thus far. Most of the "attractions" in the area are people in costumes giving you a "show." Nothing truly personalized or individualized. The llama treks are the opposite of the typical offerings of the area. This isn't something you can really go and do many places in the world, and you definitely won't find it anywhere else in the Smokys. On top of that, you could go once a month for a year and still get a completely different experience every single time. The llamas are so super friendly and have adorable unique personalities (Maximus is my favorite, he likes to go slow and eat a lot like I do!) and as the seasons change you'll get different experiences and views on the trail. Plus, the owner/guide Steve is a sweet, funny guy who really cares about his llamas AND your experience. He was very accommodating to the pace of all members of the group and took breaks where needed. (The trail itself starts up hill and is a huffer for the first short little bit if you're round and out of shape like I am, but after that levels out well and is overall very enjoyable. If I can do it, you can, too!) While we were there (Christmas 2019) he was working on some great improvements that I'm excited to see next time! Honestly, you aren't going to find a more unique and wonderful experience than this one. I can't wait to come back next time we pass through. Thanks again, Steve! read more

Found a random Groupon for a farm visit and it was the best accident that's ever happened to me. All of the llama's are super sweet (although Blackjack is a predator for graham crackers) and Steve is just a genuinely nice, trustworthy, respectable guy. Had a good time and the trek is worthy of being called a trek, but it was advertised as 2.5 hours and came up an hour short. With 7 hikers that's not an honest approach. Llamas were wonderful and the scenery was beautiful. The editorializing was a touch too much for me - I get telling your life story to be inspirational, I don't need to know you think the local sheriff is corrupt or that buying a wedding dress for your son's girlfriend upset her parents who you don't like anyway. Overall glad to have done it, but no need to do it again with the disappointing level of honest advertising and customer service. read more

This is what you should do if you are visiting the Smoky Mountains. We took the Creek Hollow trek that met at a zipline park, and we got to meet our host, the amazing Steve. He let us each pick our llama and we walked down by the creek, saw some other cool animals, walked up to a really beautiful little waterfall. Steve entertained us the whole time telling us stories about his life. It was absolutely fascinating. One of our favorite parts was the wishing bridge, where each of us got to write a wish and hang it on a the bridge and ring a bell. Then we got to walk across a hanging bridge, which was a little scary, but the llamas were used to it, which made it wonderful. Along the way we got plenty of llama cuddling time, and my animal-loving kid absolutely adored the entire experience. This was 3 of the best hours of my entire life! read more

This place is horrible. It is overpriced, there is no parking, it's a horribly located place and there is barely anything to do. I had little kids with me and they did not enjoy it at all. The only thing to do there was let llamas! I highly recommend not going there!! read more

AMAZING! I don't know how else to describe it. Off the beaten path. Steve is so friendly and welcoming and knowledgable. He makes you feel at home. The llamas are beautiful and friendly as well.
