Cozy and casual BBQ - roast beef sandwich was cooked to order- chicken was solid but ribs were a bit dry. Service was good and food was okay too.

Just driving around and saw BBQ, had to stop. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and welcoming. No bbq sampler plate, so choose wisely. We ordered a half slab of baby back ribs with fries and slaw & a pork bbq sandwich with bbq beans. The ribs were dry, but a decent taste. The mayo base slaw and fries were good. The pork bbq sandwich was drowning in a ok sauce, but was not that satisfying. The bbq beans were delicious. Won't be our go to place, but you may like it. This is just our thoughts on our visit today.

I've recently moved to Eldersburg. Now, I don't want to say I've moved here only for Smoky's....but I'm not going to deny it either. Recently featured on Washington Post's top spots for Pit Beef in Maryland, and for good reason. It's wonderful...and I'm not talking about only the pit beef. I always get the Junior Special, which includes a sandwich, boardwalk-style fries, and a side. All that for just $8.50...which I can barely finish. I'm always back-and-forth between the Pit Beef, Pit Turkey, and Chicken BBQ. Then M-F, macaroni as a side. On Friday's and Saturday's however, they have cream of crab soup available. And I can't not get that. Anyways, my friends and I love it. Always recommend it. Especially if you're looking for somewhere that doesn't feel like (and isn't) a chain restaurant.

This place has one of the best pit beef sandwiches I have ever had. Super tender and flavorful!

To start it reminds me of a truck stop because not only can you get food, you can coffee, slushies and gas (Caroll Fuel). They also offer sweet desserts from the Amish Market and raw butcher's meat in the freezer section along with fresh milk and beverages. Onto the food....the setup is easy because you order your food on a kiosk like you can at most restaurants. You bunch in your cell number, pick your food, and type in your name for pickup. We order a few items, a pulled pork sandwich, hand carved turkey sandwich, half slab of ribs, onion rings, pit beans (which is a trio of beans), and hand cut fries (which will remind you of Boardwalk Fries). The wait wasn't long at all, it took about only 10 minutes to get all of our food. The fries and onion rings were hot and fresh out the grease, the sandwiches were loaded, and the ribs were seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Today I tried the open faced turkey with fries and gravy, brisket quesadilla, collards, and Mac and cheese. I was able to grab a seat after ordering at the kiosk. The spot is so neat with lots of local favorites like zeeks, southern mountain creamery, and more. Also lots of grab and goes. The food is rediculously yummy. The open faced turkey was delicious and a great portion. The Mac and cheese is some of the best I've had. I definitely advise checking this place out!

I don't know how they do it but you can taste the smokiness in the Mac & Cheese. It's a wonderful comfort food on its own. The baked brisket beans is quite good as well. When I was remembering from the last time i came that was what i remembered the most. Lastly the Turkey and Beef brisket were cooked very well. They both had a wonderful smokiness to and were fresh off the smoker. He literally made them to order from when i ordered earlier that day by text message to when i picked them up a few hours later. They were good as the ones we got fresh in Florida. We wanted takeout this time, and decided on their $16 Cuban pressed sandwich. It's layers of tender thin-sliced slow-roasted pork, ham, and Swiss cheese. The bread is like a french baguette, pressed and crispy-toasted, spread with yellow mustard and tangy dill-pickle chips. It's a rich handful of a sandwich. It came with generous hot soft boardwalk-style fries. Oscar's was quick and friendly. The sandwich was excellent!

The waiter didn't quite know what I meant, but did get the request to slice it in smaller rectangles rather than triangle slices. It was light and tasty. Since Walker's is at the end of the strip, they have outdoor seating on the sidewalk. No fault of the establishment, when the sun went down, it got cold quickly! Hubby and I met friends here for double date night. We were greeted by a kind hostess who quoted a 30-35 minute wait. They do not accept reservations. Winter Daiquiri Walter's Old Fashioned Shots (Titos, Crown Royal, Lemon Drop, Green Tea) Sparkling Cosmo Black Manhattan Smoked Wings (Buffalo) Pan Seared Salmon Fish & Chips Cajun Crab Cake Sandwich The beverages did what they were ordered to do. They gave hefty pours and we appreciated it. The Smoked Buffalo Wings were pretty yum. Great portion size. Tasty. Pan Seared Salmon was perfectly prepared to my liking, I substituted the risotto for fries to avoid the dairy. It was pretty good. I would order again. Well plated w zucchini under salmon. The fish and chips were the hit at the table. The breading had an amazing flavor, and the fish was prepared well. The Cajun Crab Sandwich was a hit w my hubby.
