Good Earth is such a gem! It's one of my favorite places to go for all things natural and organic…read more They have an amazing selection of organic foods and medications--they really care about high quality products. But honestly, what keeps me coming back is their tea selection. It's incredible. Whether you're looking for something herbal, energizing, or soothing, they've got it all. A couple of years ago, I bought a pair of Birkenstocks here (yes, so random but they have an entire selection), and I learned so much about them. The staff was super knowledgeable, helping me figure out the right fit and style. Good Earth is like target. Always leaving with more than you came for.

I came in here once a few years ago and didn't buy anything. Now that I've evolved into someone who…read moreappreciates food as fuel and aims to consume primarily real, whole foods, I absolutely loved this shop. I saw so many products that are top quality - ones that are free of chemicals, dyes, preservatives, etc. that's in most foods you find at your typical grocery. I spotted great brands such as Real Salt, Nordic Naturals, Braggs, Evolved, and more. I also loved that they had a huge wall of natural kids medicines and homeopathy. When our baby was sick, they were hard to find at any of the big stores and I'm so grateful that they carry them here, as I don't want to give any dyes or harmful ingredients to such a small little human. They also have some local produce (saw the beautiful mushrooms), local GF bread (yay, Native!), local honey, local Tinker, Limelight, and Blue Mind coffee beans, and more. So many great options that will make your body feel amazing. They have rows of herbs, nuts, berries, spices, and more that you can help yourself to, or pre-made bags too. This time around, I picked out a little Four Sigmatic organic matcha latte mix and one of the new Bragg apple cider vinegar drinks (just organic apple cider vinegar and lime juice). It was soooo good and a great way to balance blood sugar with a meal. I'll be back for sure! The only reason why I knocked off a star is that you want the employees to match the mission of the shop. There was someone smoking a cig in the back parking lot, a girl at the counter that was slumped over on her phone, and a man walking around not smiling. This is already a dimly-lit, slightly-worn shop, so you want the people inside to be the ones breathing life into it by sharing about new products, health benefits of existing ones, and answering any questions. They didn't seem approachable, which I think is important for a store with so many different products that people will probably have questions about. Thanks for bringing and keeping these healthy options in the neighborhood!

I was having lunch at Chicken Salad Chick and decided to visit a couple other stores in the strip including GNC. This is a relatively small but nicely organized location that seems to cover most of the basics. They're all clearly labeled. They've got the traditional vitamins, of course, along with supplements for fitness, weight loss, digestion, super foods, beverages (including energy drinks), skin care, and they even carry a limited CBD selection. I recently tried CBD to address ongoing issues with muscle spasms and joint discomfort and have been pretty pleased with the results. I looked at the selection here and I did note that all of the options were full spectrum (which means they do include a small amount of THC - important to know if your employer is prone to doing drug testing). While CBD is legal in Indiana, you do have to be aware of percentages to make sure you stay within legal limits and you do want to make sure you're buying from a reputable vendor so there's not much in the way of variation. They had both gummies and lotions. The employee who was working was quite friendly - I failed to get his name. He offered help, though he didn't hover. He answered basic questions and was effective and efficient in processing my purchase. I also noticed they carried a vitamin I am prescribed and I will likely pick that up the next time I'm in. GNC is a national chain started in Pittsburgh in 1935 by David Shakarian. The national headquarters is still only two blocks from the original location. I will note there are some accessibility issues at this location. While there are designated accessible spots, they don't have the metallic signs and nearly every time I've been here I've seen people parked on the blue striped spots (which is illegal, for those who don't know). I typically park at the end of an aisle when I come here - or I'll wheel over from the Target parking lot. While there's security here, they're pretty useless. So, while I am willing to give GNC a 5-star it's with the caveat that Glendale Town Center regularly drops the ball here in terms of access. There are curb cuts - a good thing. The door is a single-sided glass door that is pretty manageable. The store itself is nicely laid out and easily accessible. Overall, this was a very good visit and I was able to get what I needed at a fair price with strong customer service. I'll be back.

He gave me some advice on ones he tried and suggested I wait on changing my multivitamin until I'm done with what I've got. I wound up getting two items that I think will work for me, but we'll see the store is nicely laid out well lit, but you definitely need someone knowledgeable to answer your questions, Adame did that for me. My only concern is when I got home to look at my receipt. The two items that I purchased are not the two items on the receipt so if I wanted to return anything these are not the items so I may have to call the store, but overall it was a very good visit and it's a nice location in Glendale strip malls not too far from target. You could also get a quick cookie at dirty dough right beside GNC.

Their mission statement from their website describes the farm as a place "that promotes and enhances children's and adult's health and wellness by providing a self-sufficient, multi-faceted community resource that offers event space; education and exercise programs on nutrition, fitness, and agriculture; a fully sustainable market garden for farm-to-table sales; and seasonal on-site produce stand." Yes! This place is awesome, and you need to check it out. Basically, you can come and visit when you want. You can run on the track, play tennis, play frolf (frisbee golf), walk around the grounds, play in the playhouse (if you have kids) or just come and enjoy the 20+ acres of land. All of this is for free, mind you: Fitness Farm is open to the public. This place is so great that it literally makes me want to cry. They also have yoga classes, as well as other classes pertaining to living a better life, such as cooking classes that teach you how to cook seasonally, mindfulness classes, classes that teach you about nutrition, photography and flower arranging, and lots of others. Check out their website to find out when they are offering classes. Fitness Farm is an urban farm (it's a real working farm!), and they have a CSA in the warmer months. They also have animals that you can visit year-round. We saw two huge pigs and lots of chickens and a rooster. I am in love with this place! It's so great that Fitness Farm exists, and I can't wait to come back and explore it some more.
