Ive been here more than my check ins!! As others mentioned, this location is hidden. You have to make a U turn from Shady Grove Rd, and pull in the small parking lot. I strongly recommend getting the APP! Youll save a lot of time and a few bucks here and there. The employees here are very friendly, fast and keep the restaurant squeaky clean. My favorites are the Metabolism Boost shakes; I love that you can substitute fruits and other stuff. This particular smoothie, has helped me lose weight and curb my appetite especially in the morning. I use to snack and graze all day long, and since I drink this smoothie its helped me be more energetic and not eat as much as I use too. I come here often throughout the workweek early in the morning. It is surprisingly busy, but the staff here is amazing. There is often a woman that works weekday mornings that makes this Smoothie King location as great as it is. She jumps from making drinks to taking orders to packaging drinks, all with a smile on her face. I order my usual, a Green Tea Tango with a banana. It has been perfect each time I have ordered it :) There is a huge shared parking lot shared among multiple retailers. The Smoothie King is in the shopping center right next to the Starbucks if you have trouble finding it. I highly recommend this location and I will continue coming here often :) read more

I've been to those location several times and it's never crowded and the service isn't bad. The Green Tea Tango with raspberries (Matcha Green Tea, Vanilla Frozen Yogurt, Vanilla Protein Blend, Turbinado) and chocolate Lean1 (Bananas, Almonds, Lean1 Chocolate-contains lots of protein!) are delicious! The Green Tea Tango is a great energy drink, while the chocolate Lean1 is good as a replacement or after a workout. The price for a 20 ounce smoothie ranges from $5-$6, depending on which one you get. The larger sizes (32 and 40 ounces) could burn a hole in your wallet though. If you can, make it a skinny! When you do, the turbinado (a type of sugar) is left out of the smoothie, and you'll cut down on the carbs and calories. read more

It was just her, and she kept a cool head, was very efficient and kind. Most people I know would be stressed out with so many people walking in and no help, but she handled it so well! This smoothie king has been my favorite so far- I actually drive out of my way past the one near my home to come here. Unfortunately, today I had quite a disappointing experience here. I opted for curbside pickup since there were quite a few people seated outside, all without masks. Once I placed my order, the message prompted me to call the store so my order could be brought out. I called, no answer. Called a few more times, still no answer. I ended up going into the store after waiting 10 minutes, which completely defeats the purpose of curbside delivery. I explained the situation, they weren't concerned at all, just gave me my smoothies. Also, the young gentleman who gave me my order was not wearing his mask properly :( I will try coming here again, the smoothies still tasted good regardless of my frustrating experience. I opted for one of the vegan options. As I waited, a customer who was leaving the store as I arrived returned and loudly asked what's in here (smoothie)? He appeared to be a regular, he went on to say it tastes different than my normal. This was not a good sign. My smoothie was made promptly and tasted ok. I probably finished last than a third of the cup. I took it home placed in freezer, and then refrigerator to let thaw. The next day I try it and it was not good. This Smoothie King has completely changed since the last time my brother and I came. We went this past week, and all though all of the new products that you're able to buy are great, the service is super slow. There was one employee working and probably 7 people in there including us who had to wait at least 10 minutes for their smoothies. Their menu looks like they've really added a ton of new smoothies - I got the blueberry slim blend which I couldn't even finish because you could really taste all of the workout powder in it. The location looks like an afterthought and it's pretty tight when they get a few customers, but the staff is friendly and will work with you if you have any special dietary requirements. Yo this place is amazing. I ran 12 miles on Sunday morning and afterwards was thirstier than any of those lame white bros of Delta Sigma during rush weekend at the University of Maryland. I was the only one here because everyone else was worshipping at Covenant Life or Church of the Redeemer. I ask the cute cashier for a nice fruity recommendation, and she mentions a pineapple, strawberry, kiwi smoothie. Yeah let's go with that! She also asks if I want a vegan cookie. Yeah sure! I am trying to be more of a yes man, and I wanted to cise her statistics in regards to sales of the food items. Back when I worked at Starbucks, my supervisor monitored my metrics of selling food items in addition to drinks. I was able to get about 45% of my customers to purchase a food item plus a drink (which is a good percentage). She even gave me extra smoothie. I got the large, and along with the cookie, it came out to $12. I take a big sip of this jaunt, and ohhhhh myyyyyyy it tasted good. BRAIN FREEEEEZEEEEEE!!!!!! I drank this smoothie on my drive home. For the entire ride, I held the smoothie in one hand and steered the car with the other. I didn't use a turn signal the entire trip home. I did put the smoothie down when I reached my neighborhood. I had to put on a good song so that my neighbors think I'm cool with my windows down and some 1990s rock blasting on my stereo. I fell in love WITH THE GIRL AT THE ROCK SHOW! I'm giving five stars because out of all the smoothie kings I've been to, the two ladies who usually work are my favorite smoothie king employees. They are so quick, always smiling, always polite, and seem so enthusiastic about their jobs. The place is always spotless. It's a smaller locations than ones like Frederick. If I was rating Smoothie King the brand, I'd give it four stars, because their prices are so high. A small is bigger than a Starbucks venti cup (hot). The large could be used as a self-defense weapon. There are kids sizes, but the selection of smoothies offered in that size are pretty basic (and not for adults like me trying to get away with ordering kids portions because they're more reasonably sized) There are so many choices it can be extremely overwhelming when you go in, so unless you know exactly what you want, I suggest looking up the menu online first so you know what you're getting into, and can start narrowing it down. (my usual is the Peanut Power Plus with banana) You pay out the butt for quality. But these smoothies are about as quality as you'll get, when it comes to nutrition. Each one is basically a guilt-free meal. The Peanut Power Plus is actually under the 'meal replacement' category. I highly recommend signing up for the rewards program if you plan on visiting more than once- you can earn a dollar off a smoothie every couple purchases. read more

We used to go here every week for smoothies during the summer. Prices are okay. We found it much cheaper to make our own smoothies at home using the same ingredients -- but they never taste quite as good, so we end up back here. Lots of creative options to try, and lots of "healthy" add-ins for the smoothies if that is your thing. You choose what fruits and sweetness and options your want for each order. They have slim blends and healthy blends and energy boosting blends. I just enjoy the cold, not-overly-sweet taste of the standard blends, especially the basic strawberry banana. read more
