Just for the friendly service alone I am very pleased. I ordered the beach bum with dark chocolate. It was great. The ladies were pleasant and the establishment was clean. There was a couple relaxing at a nearby table and left just as pleasant as I did. It's located in Gaithersburg Square, so be mindful of the parking congestion. I been meaning to do this but with COVID and all it sort of slipped by me. So I just want to say that the local manager reached out to me personally and apologized. Which means a lot. It shows that they care and value their customers which is important for any business. I also received free smoothie coupon which was great and I used once the restrictions were lifted. Since then I have discovered they have an app where you can order ahead which is great ! You also earn rewards so eventually you end up getting a free smoothie which I absolutely love! The meals are packaged nicely and the smoothies are kept refrigerated so they stay cool which is really good. Every time I go in I am also greeted and attended to in a timely manner which just makes everything smooth. I will forever be a customer here! read more

Also it tasted watered down. With the mocha madness, I liked it better so if I was to go back, I would get that instead but even that felt 5.5/10 taste wise. We live only a few minutes from this location, and we'd been hoping for a good smoothie place for a long time now! We are already regulars. We even bought the reusable cup for $4 - it's better for the environment and you save 50 cents every time you use it to get a smoothie. The smoothies are delicious. I hadn't even heard of this place until this afternoon when somebody said, hey let's order delivery from Tropical Smoothie Café. I had to look up the menu to you even begin to know what to consider for my order. Everything looked delicious -- flatbreads wraps, pressed sandwiches and bowls, quesadillas and all sorts of other things, and yes, tropical smoothies.. And when it arrives just a short time later, it was in fact, as delicious as it looked on the menu. The food was well seasoned, and arrived hot. The prices are fair. Quesadillas are rather small compared to the size of the wraps and sandwiches -,but they didn't come up short in flavor and seasoning. Nothing came with extra sauces, which is always a nice thing to have to dip your wrap and your quesadilla or your sandwiches in. And the Irene come with a bag of chips. The Carribian Jerk Wrap with pineapple salsa and black beans and rice and other nifty goodness was hefty and delicious and had a nice kick of heat - but not overwhelming. I got my usual Avocolada smoothie with peanut butter and Energizer which is delicious and refreshing. Didn't have a sandwich this time but have had them at other locations and they're quite good. By the way, if all you've had is Smoothie King, you def have to try TSC. No strong protein powder smell and the smoothies are always super fresh tasting. My experience with this Cafe and its staff and managers were horrible: between them and DoorDash, they refused to replace a $50 family order that I ordered on-line for my family and that DoorDash admitted to leaving at a different house somewhere in the neighborhood. Neither DoorDash nor the Cafe management or help desks could resolve this between them so I had to recover my funds by going thru my bank later and reversing the charge with a formal complaint... They may make good food, but they take no responsibility to honor their orders but they take your money upfront. Beware anytime you use these delivery services or online orders going forward, there's plenty of grey areas that result in the customer being on the hook for trying to fix a mistake by the franchise or the delivery company... I will avoid this service and the Cafe going forward. read more

This review is based on my visit today. I wanted to purchase a smoothie and the woman behind the counter was more interested in cutting bananas then serving her customers. When I spoke to her again about taking my order she advised me to just wait. She continued talking to her coworker and cutting the bananas. As I walked out of the shop without my desired items she said"oh well have a good day" with an attitude. I ordered the jerk chicken bowl which consisted of ice berg lettuce (the nerve), 5 black beans, a scoop of pineapple salsa (I assume), a spoonful of rice, a teaspoon of shredded cheese and 4 pieces of cold grilled chicken from wherever. This location is not my favorite location. I buy kale/apple slaw in VA and they actually fill up the container. At this location, it is only half full. I do not know why they only half way fill it, but that is not fair. You pay for a half full product. I would not recommend coming to this location. read more

This place is so cute and friendly! I know they opened a week ago but the service was actually really good. The manager here is very sweet and gave up as a warm welcome. Kristie, the most adorable hardworking fantastic team member, helped me decide which smoothie I would enjoy. The smoothies are so delicious and refreshing! I got the magic mango smoothie which wasn't too sweet but still a blast full of flavor. They prep their fruits fresh everyday, not made with a fruit purée with some places. Everything about my experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe was positive, besides the fact that there was a chicken bone in the Chicken Pesto Flatbread that I ordered. I ordered the Chicken Pesto flatbread which was delicious, but a bit offput by the fact that there was a bone in the sandwich. I also had the Turkey Ranch Bacon sandwich which was on ciabatta, that was delicious! I also got to try the Island Green and the Sunrise Sunset which were delicious! I believe the smoothies only come in one size, but the cup sizes are very generous and worth the price. I prefer this smoothie spot over other ones in the area since all of the ingredients seem very fresh here and would want to try other items on the menu. There isn't much seating in the restaurant besides a couple of tables and bar seating by the counter where you order, but this is a good spot to order a sandwich and a smoothie to go. read more
