I have been wanting to try this place for some time now as a Pasadena local and finally did. I was extremely disappointed on receiving my food and noticed they had overcooked the tater tots to a solid rock. It really isn't something you expect from an almost 5 star Yelp rating. This review is only for the breakfast burrito because it's the only thing I've tried so far. The breakfast burrito is average size but heavy and very filling. It has plenty of eggs, potatoes, seasoned rice pilaf and meat-in my case bacon. It also has a creamy green sauce inside that doesn't taste of avocado but has a mild cilantro flavor. The sauce is advertised as spicy but it is not spicy. I forgot to mention the burrito also has cheese in it. In my opinion the cheese puts it over the top for richness and if I ordered the burrito again I would ask them to hold the cheese just to reduce the richness of it all. At $7, tax included, it is an excellent value considering how full I got before I could finish it. That is rare for me. One more thing, this is a food truck, in case you didn't know. Smosh Town is literally the best place to get your smashed burger and breakfast cravings satisfied. I was already a huge fan of their delicious wagyu beef smashed burgers and was now even more excited to hear that they added a breakfast menu. I am a huge fan of breakfast burritos and can easily say Smosh's breakfast burrito is in my top 3 list. Mmm & that cilantro crema is toooo good. Had been here twice before they switched to the truck. Some of the best smashed burgers I've ever had. Went tonight after the Dodger and OH MY!! They were even better than before! They now have seasoned fries, which are a nice compliment to the burgers, much better than the chips they offered previously. Family owned and run, they are the nicest people!! I almost don't want to write a review because some things you don't want to share, but in the end, Smosh Town deserves public praise for not only offering one of the best cheeseburgers in LA, but a killer breakfast burrito. Although as good as their food is, the service is better. Ohan (hope I spelled your name right brother -pete) and his crew are just the nicest. It didn't take long before they all knew my name, which is such very nice change from other places who just don't care who you are. Smosh Town clearly cares about its customers and the quality of their food. The burrito is tasty and one of the best breakfast burritos in Pasadena. The burgers are just astounding. They just introduced a pastrami burger, which isn't new in Pasadena, however they serve it with sauce that is like the sauce you find on a Ruben, making this almost a Ruben Burger (without the sauerkraut). So if you want to try one of LA's best burgers, which is only a couple blocks off the 210, you should check these fine folk out. read more

Parking is pretty difficult to find and the shopping center across from it is parking only for that area. That was a downside. The food was very heavy, my friends and I experienced stomach pain after finishing up. The burgers were nothing to "die for", it was very very plain. I had Smosh Town for the first time last week (O's Way) and although they skimped on the toppings, I'd definitely say it's a flavorful burger. As for comparing it with In N Out, it's not necessarily better or worse than a double double, it's just different in taste. My only "beef" with the owners would be the huge WAGYU BURGER sign painted on the truck. Real Japanese Wagyu beef starts at $20 an ounce, so realistically, if you were truly using wagyu beef in your burgers, the O's Way should be priced at $80. Other than that, I'd say this is a good burger spot, and being a Pasadena native, I'll definitely come back again. read more

Went here for the first time last night & I gotta say, I was impressed. First thing, the customer service these guys give is just great. They're so friendly and go that little 'extra mile' to make the experience with them a great one. I was offered spicy mayo & ranch when they handed me my food and they happily gave me both (usually it's an issue to ask for sauce or you get charged for it). The burger itself was pretty delicious. I added a fried egg to the #2. The meat has great taste & the egg was cooked perfectly. I like their tater tots more than their fries + the spicy Mayo is good! I hope they continue giving the same great service as they get more popular because I'm sure they will! read more

Decided to hit this place up after a hike up Echo Mountain. Split a classic, O's and loaded tots with the wifey. Gotta love that wagyu smash patty which magically balances juiciness and that crunchy crust. Slight nod toward the classic. I usually prefer grilled onions but the raw onions really help balance the burger out. Finally the loaded tots are like the final evolved form of In-n-Outs animal style fries. The savory beef combined with cheese, ranch and spicy mayo form the ultimate topping for the crispy tots. I love the simple menu and attention to ingredients at Smosh Town. Not as good as Burgers Never Say Die but similar styles of food: few items on a simple menu cooked with skill. I'm not a huge fan of steak fries or tater tots so I'm a bit limited when ordering from this truck. $7 seems reasonable to me given the quality ingredients, though like others, I wonder just how wagu their wagu is. Seasoned just right, And perfectly crisp. $11 for a smallish burger, massive heap of fries and a Coke. Not bad at all for a lunch stop (or a drunken night out, I'd reckon). Waited over 20 min and drove around the block several times before consulting their Instagram (based on another review) only to see they are closed today because of a catering gig. No problem with that, just make it known across all platforms maybe? Honestly more like a 3.5 for me, but I'd rather not give it a 3 star rating. Parking was just random street parking, the wait was a bit lengthy, shared seating on some benches.. not the greatest vibe ever, to be honest. On the bright side, service was friendly, and the woman who took our order was very nice. Burger was pretty good, but not the greatest smashed burger I've ever had. I was so disappointed I couldn't find them and I then we had to go to in and out yuck ,what a disappointment that is. So after a couple text to them which they quickly responded. I figured out the location and found it today! What a treat! The hamburgers were cooked perfectly. We opted for no cheese and grilled onions. Not only were the patties cooked perfectly and the grilled onions but the bun is just a little toasty so yummy. The person who took my order was extremely friendly and patient and made some wonderful recommendation, and some nice small talk. We also have a large order of their fries. Hate to rate the business like this when so many are struggling, but we are in life and death times and I have to report this: I had been wanting to try their burgers for so long and when I saw their truck today, I took my daughter over to order lunch. As we approached the truck, there were three guys standing shoulder-to-shoulder within 15 feet of the truck with masks either under their chin or not on at all. One was smoking (too close to the truck per CA regulations); and... when one of the others saw us coming, he walked over to the truck, stepped inside, put on a mask, and went to the window to take orders. Aaaah! So I'm going to let my food be prepared in a small kitchen with someone that is ignoring Covid distancing and mask rules? H-E-double-toothpicks NO! Needless to say, we left immediately.
