Breakfast Special #3
James Y.

I stoppedhere, first time, before heading to church. I went with the breakfast special #3 which was bacon, eggs, and French toast. The service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has the feel of an old diner with booths for seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They fo have a $1 surcharge for eggs. The food was hood.

Pete's Blue Chip is a classic fast-casual gem nestled in Eagle Rock, the place does offer drive-thru. Has limited parking and off street as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though the interior is dated. It's very well maintained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pete's Blue Chip absolutely delivers when it comes to hearty, no-frills breakfast fare at an affordable option. Out of all the breakfast spots in the neighborhood. Pete's is my first choice. Today, I stopped in for their Breakfast Burrito, and it hit all the right notes. The burrito comes loaded with your choice of meat (I went with bacon), perfectly scrambled eggs, golden potatoes, and plenty of melted cheese--all wrapped in a warm, toasted tortilla. The real standout, though, was the house-made pico de gallo. Fresh, zesty, and just the right amount of kick, it brought everything together and cut through the richness beautifully. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is quick, the vibe is laid-back, filled with the local community and the portions are generous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're in Eagle Rock and craving a solid, satisfying breakfast, Pete's Blue Chip is worth the stop.

Vanilla Milk Shake

Drive Thru Service Review Only: The boy child wanted a vanilla shake, so I went to the closest diner to his school. The drive thru was empty, and the order was quick and easy. As we waited at the drive thru window, I can hear the shake being made in the blender, so I knew my son was in for a treat. Happy Kid + Happy Mom = Happy Life

Blue Chip burger and fries. Chili on the side.
Claire A.

Came here for the first time. It's a winner! Got the "Blue Chip" burger combo - the burger was tasty - and it wasn't stuffed to the gills with lettuce - you could taste all the separate components: bun, burger, onion, tomato, sauce. The Fries! The Fries! They were crispy and long and lightly seasoned. I don't like seasoned fries that much but these were exceptional - very slight dusting, but it enhanced the crispiness of the fries. I usually order fries well-done, but I forgot to, but never mind, these were perfect. Plus, they were really nice there. Order at the counter, and quick table service. We will return and I'll get the chili cheese fries which we hear are excellent.

Very disappointed in my pastrami rami sandwich, I remember back in my day I would get more bang for buck, $18 this is not worth it. Plz save your money and go somewhere in NELA. Do better whoever owns this place no cap

Pastrami and Egg Burrito

Pete's was recommended from a friend of a friend. They highly recommended the pork chop dinner. Guess we should have taken their advice. Live and learn as they say. I had the Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger. IMO - the burger was nothing special. The burger patty was of the frozen variety and offered no flavor. Glad I ordered the burger with bacon, avocado and cheese. Hubby had the pastrami and egg breakfast burrito. (served all day) He didn't have much to say one way or another. The zucchini, fries and onion rings side dish was good. They were crisp and not overly greasy. Nice size portion. Enough for 3 with leftovers. They include a cup of ranch dressing at no extra charge unlike some other establishments. Yes you know who you are! Service was okay. Nothing bad...nothing outstanding. The person taking my order would not win an award for her friendliness. But...she got my order correct. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior was your average dine in burger place. I would not recommend for large groups. Table seating is primarily set up for groups of 4 or less[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Food was okay, but not worth making a special trip.

The café itself is super cute, very clean, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive. There were so many menu options that I honestly wish I had more time and more of an appetite to fully indulge and try more dishes. We were in a bit of a hurry. I tried the chilaquiles, which were quit filling. They were a different style than the traditional version. They used crispy tortilla chips similar to the kind you get in tortilla soup, which actually gave the dish a really good twist. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The food overall was really good, and I especially enjoyed the latte because it wasn't overly sweet like a lot of places tend to make them. Overall, such a great little breakfast and coffee spot in Eagle Rock. I'll definitely be back when I have more time to explore more of the menu.

Already I'll be back again for a 3rd visit sometime soon. The staff were so friendly. Everyone who we interacted with, from the hostess to our waiter, were all just very friendly and it made us feel extremely welcomed into their restaurant. As for the food, everything was amazing. Probably can't go wrong with anything you order here. So far in my two visits to Yicha I've tried the following: 1. Bossam - ordered this both visits... truly amazing. First time having Bossam and it changed my life lol. The pork was cooked so perfectly.) 2. Bulgogi Burgers - wow. So good. The patty was juicy. The aoli was so tasty. Very filling. 3. Chicken Wings - also super good. Loved the "K-Ranch" sauce! The sauce was so good I even used it with the Bossam haha. 4. K-Town Nachos - I've never had nachos like this before! The crispy rice cakes were a unique take but really enjoying take on nachos. 5. Kongguksul - It's not something I would normally order as I'm not usually a fan of cold noodles, but since I was with a group and we ate family style it ended up on our list and I actually really liked it! First time I've enjoyed cold noodles. 6. Fuji Apple Eggrolls - Amazing. Never had any type of an egg roll dessert before. It was extremely flavorful and a great way to end our dinner.

(FYI - The cocktails are fantastic.) Since Chef Debbie Lee is famous for her Korean fried chicken wings my friend got the Gochu Buffalo Chicken Wings. The peanut brittle was made with soy & chili. It was slightly sweet with the right amount of savory. It was also addicting AF. The Banchan was marinated cucumbers. It was flavorful and tasty. The fries were perfectly cooked and topped with yummy goodness. They also went well with the K Ranch dressing that came with the wings. My friend said the wings were exceptionally good. We enjoyed our food down to the last bite and even had a chance to meet Chef Debbie.

Service was good, not amazingly fast but appropriate for a leisurely dinner where we weren't in a hurry. The server was friendly and attentive. The food was really good. I had the shrimp and grits. It had too much "broth" or liquid, but otherwise way better than I expected for a restaurant located in Los Angeles. I ate every bit of it. Sorry that I don't remember what they ate as I am writing this 3 days after our visit. Suffice it to say that we had 4 different entrees and all were excellent. LATE REVIEW…read more Finding little neighborhood gems when it comes to food has always been an exciting experience for me. Having family alongside makes the journey more special. We chose Holy Saints to announce our baby's gender with our parents and we had an amazing time during our intimate dinner here. The restaurant's ambiance was the perfect combination of homey and inviting. It is a smaller place and the number of tables are limited so I highly suggest making a reservation when dining here. During our dinner, it was a bit difficult to have a full blown conversation as the place was packed with guests when we came plus the loud background music that was playing the whole night. Service and food were nothing but amazing! Their menu is very limited. Maybe not everyone will appreciate that, but I think it is more intentional on what is being served to the table. Our highlight of the night was the Grandpa's Pan Roasted Duck Magret Au Poivre for sure. It was so tender on the inside and crispy on the outer edges! Prosciutto was a supplement here and needs it imo for that oomph, otherwise a fine risotto dish but would pass unless it speaks to you - Barnyard Bolognese - a bit underwhelming to start, just too one-note for me, but it eventually grew on me and would get it again if I wanted a rich pasta - Duck Magret Au Poivre - easily my favorite dish here and what I would come back for and recommend for people, tender duck with the right amount of fat and a great sauce. Fries are a bit thicker than I would like, but still enjoyed it. - Seasonal apple pie - more of a danish if I had to describe it to someone, but nice texture and more importantly, not too sweet!
