I was skeptical that BDK would actually want to take on my small jobs and to my surprise, Brad and I were able to work out a pricing and work arrangement that will allow me to get things done on my budget and timeline. I am impressed with Brad and his business acumen, and while I have not had any work done yet, I trust that all will go well and that I will update my review to 5 stars. You know, with all the online resources it is actually harder than ever to find a contractor who is willing to do little things. I have emailed and talked to a half dozen contractors who want to charge a lot for minimal jobs. Finding a contractor of quality whom I can trust is a big undertaking, so I feel so good going into this relationship with BDK.

John turner said I should hand him the check plus my deductible and if there was anything left when they were done I'd get my portion of the check back via check or cash (strike 1) All the floor got cleaned the paneling and drywall cut, I'm assuming the framing cleaned as well. Concrete poured, dumpster filled. Dehumidifier going. I received check from insurance company and told john turner I had to send it which I overnighted it to my mortgage company and he said and we gonna keep charging and keep going. Friday was the last day their crew was here, Saturday they poured concrete (paid $700 for outside concrete guy, (said concrete would be completely dry I. 24-36 hours) charged me $1000 for making a phone call) nobody came Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Monday then a lone woman came prolly to clean up dust from concrete work. Nobody told me nothing that nobody was coming out for over a week. Strike 2 and 3. This Job started end of October my house is flipped upside down inside out. Their crew I understand in and out they propped screen door open but for like 3 days while taking out trash left the prop on and unfortunately bent my rear screen door. I'm hoping they sell the door closer at Home Depot because it's completely bent. I told them if they are waiting for the check to complete the job then don't come back. I don't pay my auto mechanic before they do repairs. I don't pay carpet cleaners before they clean carpets. Why would I pay for a $19,000 job + after deductible when the demo isn't even completed. Hell they didn't even tear the carpet off the stairs. I'm sure I paid for the dumpster. I received check on Saturday deposited it cleared on Wednesday. John turner picked up check for the demo work they did (over $7000) picked up check and told my wife the dumpster was being picked up tomorrow. Is that his call? Or is it because he was fired for job abandonment without telling homeowners hey we're not coming back for over a week (not the week of thanksgiving probably 2nd week in November) Don't get me wrong they did a phenomenal job with the demo work. Just to much negatives to continue with this company. I got guys coming out to hang drywall at $16 a sheet. Flooring im gonna do as well as painting. Gonna have to order a new dumpster and pay for another 1 because NatCat thinks my adjuster is their liaison and my adjuster is gonna contact me. You'd think you open your home to this company and homeowners have your company here when homeowners aren't home but do not have the decency to say hey Mr---- or Mrs ----- we ain't gonna be here next week. I got nothing but crickets. Then once paid they call to pickup dumpster and yet leave garbage bags of clothes trashed still in basement.

He then asked me to remove the mention of a refund from my review because other people might try to take advantage, and to please take down the photos because it's hard to run a small business. Though he acknowledged "I know it's too much to ask," it's totally inappropriate. I told him that it's unethical and against Yelp's terms of service to ask a customer to remove factual information from a review, and that it's not my responsibility to manage his company's reputation or what other people might do based on an honest review. The previously neglected areas of our house was left sparkling. We've had our house cleaned around eight (8) different times (before CleaningDash cleaned our house today), and we have been unhappy every single time. We have a large house (for Chicago) and every cleaning company seems to have disclaimers about how to prep one's house ahead of the cleaning. CleaningDash did have similar disclaimers, but at the end of the cleaning the disclaimers did not matter. Our house is now cleaner than it has ever been. At one point in the past, we even paid for two (2) cleaners to double-team our house, and their work product was disappointing compared to CleaningDash. Our cleaning service worked tirelessly to make sure our house was as clean as possible. CleaningDash's cleaning service was so far beyond every other cleaning service we have hired in the past, I know we won't be able to go to another cleaning service after this exception experience- it would be a waste of our time, and a waste of our energy. We are so happy with the service we received from CleaningDash, I don't even know what to say other than we will be a repeat customer, and I will share the company's information with other people in hopes of driving more business to CleaningDash! It took them hours to get back to me and when they did, all they could say is they were closed for the weekend and to call back on Tuesday. I was on my own to get the carpet as dry as possible as quickly as possible to prevent musty smells and mold growth. I had fans running, dehumidifiers running, and still it took beyond 3 days to dry it out. With the carpet so wet, it is not likely they sucked up any of the dirty water. The carpets were soaking wet after they were done. My wife had to suck up the water with her home carpet cleaner. The water was very dirty. I called the owner and he said "Well is the carpet clean?" I showed him the picture below and he said "Well all carpet is going to be dirty its not tile". Isn't that what I just paid him for? Clean carpet? He offered to come back and reclean the carpet. No thank you. There are plenty of companies that take pride in their work. Please avoid this company like the plague.
