Wasn't the service , it's the food , it's beyond awful ... the menu is lacking as well , I'm afraid it won't be around long

It was on my list to try and when I saw liver & onions on the menu I was hooked. Well it's now crossed off my list. Our waitress, Chloe was wonderful. She was attentive and polite. Our wine glasses on the other hand were covered with lipstick and full of smudges and when the bartender brought new ones they were just as bad as her attitude. Back to the liver and onions that brought us here, never have I had it smothered in brown gravy and it was cold. My husband ordered the steak ale pie which was ground beef with brown gravy and a pastry crust. Thank goodness the wine was delightful! I do love the look of the place and a bar I would sit at. Food way tooo expensive for type of food, unless they flew it from England that day. The food was cold, after waiting for a long time with only 4 tables, and two of them had their food already. Almost left before food got to us, just about to ask for my check. Wife got lamb kabobs that tasted like hamburger meat, on a bed of salad. Fish and chips, chips were not even cooked, half raw inside. I had liver, was warm enough to eat, peas stone cold, mashed potatoes, almost was. Complained and manager and got 13% off my meal. Our first time at this relatively new place with a good British spin. My husband was happy with their choice of beers on draft and I had a very good house red wine...generous amount too. He got fish and chips and was very pleased with them. I wanted liver and onions but they had no liver so I got the steak and ale pie. It was a good substitute...I've never had it before and it was very tasty with a nice crust. Salads came with the dinner and they were adequate and very tasty. One side also comes with the dinners. Only down side was that the guy who seated us was also the waiter and he did not seem to know all that much about the menu. They (like everyone else) are advertising for all sorts of positions and they do need some good servers! He was friendly and responded quickly and did the best he could. We hope this place makes it as we liked the ambience, the food and it was a nice change from the typical beach food menus. Give it a try! read more

Food was good , service was prompt and friendly . The only complaint was that if you use a credit card there is a credit card service charge . It was explained to us prior to ordering so I paid with cash . I got the Pub Burger which was so good and my sister got tomato soup , both very good read more

We went as a family on Sunday (Fathers Day) with the intention of ordering several sandwiches. Our decision was based upon the menu posted online. We first called to confirm they were indeed open and they said they were open for lunch. When we arrived and were seated, we were informed although it was lunch time (1:15pm), the lunch menu was not available on Sundays and instead they only served dinner all Sunday. They should update their online information, menus and signs rather than leave the customer to have these issues. read more

Went last night for dinner at the bar. Menu specifically says "Happy Hour 4-7" but when we asked the bartender said not on weekends. Menu should state that! Hubby ordered a Guinness and it was $6. I ordered a half&half, Guinness and an Ale, and we watched bartender not do it correctly. She should have put Ale in first and layer Guinness on top with a spoon or turtle. She did Guinness first and it never layered and she let both beers sit there 5 minutes to reduce the foam head. It just got warm. She actually charged mine $6.50, for what we don't know. Please train her how to make a half&half in an Irish bar. I ordered the prime ribs dinner which was very good but not worth $25! Husband ordered beef stew in bread bowl but he pointed out that it wasn't hollowed out enough and was mostly bread for $18. After getting home and reviewing our bill there was an additional "service charge" on it! We were only 2 people sitting at the bar with an expensive tab and we already left a tip. What we thought would be a happy hour bar dinner cost us our budget for the week. Disappointed. read more

Delicious Steak and Ale pie with salad and Brussels sprouts. I'll definitely be back on a cold night when comfort food is a must!

We are traveling back and forth to the area as we will be moving to Wachesaw Plantation. We tried Smugglers Den our first night in and were pleasantly surprised. Unique atmosphere and excellent food and drink. the owners daughter is charming and professional. We returned a second time during our visit and found the same accommodating service. We look forward to visiting again next month and having the pleasure of being regulars once our move is finalized. read more

I have to give one star just for our waitress! She was helpful and delightful. It was downhill from there. Dirty wine glasses that were returned and replaced with less dirty wine glasses by a bartender with ATTITUDE! We went to especially try the liver with bacon and onions, Don't, it was swimming in BROWN gravy with a side of packaged mashed potatoes. Three words for you "ONE AND DONE". read more

The food was outstanding! I had the roast chicken and received half of a large bird... breast, wing, thigh, and leg seasoned to perfection. The sides of brussel sprouts and sage and onion stuffing with gravy were to die for. It was good for two meals. My husband had the prime rib which he really enjoyed. Being British, the menu was somewhat different, but I imagine the quality is good all the way around. Looking forward to going back and trying something new. Our server, Sarah, was a doll. read more

Delicious! The smugglers dip and bruschetta were great appetizers. The fish and chips with authentic mushy peas were so good as well as the Bangers and Mash! If you are not a British food enthusiast there are plenty of other options as well such as Crispy Duck cooked to perfection, Roasted Chicken, Salmon, and even Indian samosas that were amazing!
