Husband and I were in from out of town and needed to watch Tottenham cling to life on the last day of the PL season. Knew it was a Liverpool pub but didn't have any other options. Everyone was beyond gracious, drinks were always full and food was hot. Staff was fantastic! Reds were welcoming, and when our game ran longer than expected, they held their celebration and singing until our game wrapped up. Class act all around. We went there with a $50 gift certificate. Hubby decided to try the liver and onions and I had a philly cheese steak. We also had appetizers. The appetizers were good, my sandwich was good but unfortunately he could not eat the liver and onions. He tried them but said they were horrible. He was not going to say anything, but I did. The wait staff was FABULOUS! They immediately offered any replacement as they said they wanted a "satisfied" customer! He got the fish and chips and was very happy with it! This is hands down the best bar in socastee Bar staff is the best. Kitchen is the best. I'm a third shift worker so I miss food a lot but when I'm fortunate enough to come and eat I'm never let down. This is probably the best locals bar in socastee yet you never go without a drink and are never ignored. Come try bull and bush you won't be disappointed. Great pub with a different food choice from your typical pub. Scotch eggs to start me off with a Jameson on the rocks. My first thumbs up was when the bartender poured the scotch over the rocks. Big plus in my book. Famous for fish and chips that's my dinner tonight. I think I may become a regular here. read more

My friends and I stopped in for a couple drinks last week. The bartender (I believe it was Brian) was super friendly and welcoming. He provided friendly and attentive service. Wish I could review the food, but we never made it that far. Came in on a Wednesday (3/26/25) evening after looking at the menu online. It was pretty busy as it looked like they were going to have trivia. There's a sign at the front that says seat yourself. I took a walk around and saw no empty tables except one for two. We had a party of 4. However, there was a table our size that looked like it had just recently been vacated and was still dirty. I was in no rush and the bar staff looked busy so we just stood by the door for a minute thinking we'd just wait until they had a moment to clear it. After 2-3 minutes a blonde middle aged female bartender walked up to us with an angry look on her face and asked what we were looking for. I told her we were just waiting for a table to clear. She pointed to the table for two. I then said "no, sorry we have 4", thinking maybe she was confused because my husband had went to the bathroom and it was just myself and my two teens there. She just kept throwing her hands up and saying "yeah, I don't know how to help you" like she was very annoyed and I was somehow bothering her. But I wasn't angry and I wasn't in a rush. So I gestured towards the dirty table and asked if we could just wait for it. Then she snapped "that's for trivia and it has not even started yet". Next to the dirty table was another table for two that was clearly reserved for trivia as it had a table cloth, a sign, and some stuff that belonged to the trivia company. Again, giving her the benefit of the doubt that she was just misunderstanding me as it was loud, I pointed at the dirty table and asked "do you mean the dirty table is reserved?" At that point she apparently had enough of us wanting to eat there. She huffed, threw her hands up and shouted "Ugh, I guess I'll just clean it when I have a minute", ran off and started cleaning the table while visibly angry and snapping at another staff member. I had really wanted to try the food and was going to overlook how she had talked to me purely because it was just so embarrassing. But my teenage son looked like he was so upset and turned and asked why she was being so mean to me when I was being nice to her. It was so uncomfortable and we felt so unwelcome that we left, genuinely afraid that she'd do something to our food or we'd get stuck with her as our server and she'd continue to berate me. Management should really look into this employee and her customer service. I've worked in the service industry and know it gets overwhelming and sometimes people can be unkind when they don't intend to be just because they're overwhelmed. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and kill then with kindness. I thought maybe she thought I was upset and I wasn't so I continually tried to use a friendly voice. But this woman was given multiple opportunities to check herself and cool down, but instead treated me with absolute disrespect over and over again. read more

I purchased two Reubens to go on March 10th. Asked if they were piled high, they said yes..wrong ! Asked for extra kraut, never got it. Meat was sparse and burnt, chips were greasy and old. We have driven by this place many times and finally decided to try it as it looked interesting. It's supposed to emulate an old English pub but it could use some updating and cleaning. I ordered the Chicken Parm sandwich which was quite good the bun was toasted and the chicken was juicy and the portion generous. My wife ordered the Ribeye special which was cooked correctly but was tough the mash potatoes were over seasoned with garlic she did like side salad. The service was ok and the staff very friendly. If you are looking for decent tavern food and a beer not a bad place to go, but stay away from their entrees, much better places around for that. read more

I seen s sign,well two one from God,and business sign. It was my day.. Well dropped in...simply ordered what I was craving.. Well bingo.. Hit the jackpot.. Not overly done,just perfect morsels of English deliciousness. Glad to have this pub in my area. You have to be in mood,but when you are go here.. If there is a televised soccer game from the UK, usually noon on Saturdays during the season, AVOID this place. The fans are excessively loud, and inconsiderate, yelling epithets, throwing F bombs, etc.. at the top of their voices. They have NO respect for anyone else, including women present. My wife was horrified and several other couples headed for the door to finish lunch at home. The management did NOTHING to quiet this obnoxious baboon herd! I was looking for a great Fish and Chips without having to drive too far. I came across a place I had not visited since St. Patty's Day ( they have the best Corned Beef and Cabbage!) So we stopped in, and were delighted to see Amanda was behind the bar! She assured me that they had the best Fish and. Hips, I mean with the British flag flying out front and all... Oh my gosh! She was right! Fresh hand cut French fries and the best batteries cod fish. She told me the secret to getting her batter so light and fluffy. I would not have thought to do that! It is amazing! We came to this place when we saw they served British food and it did not disappoint! Seems like a fun local bar that I'm assuming gets a good crowd late night. They have a late night food menu as well. It has a pool table and there was karaoke going on when we were there. Decent drafts..they have Guinness which is always a plus!
