The Beaver Bar sits happily in Murrells Inlet offering to quell your thirst while extending a middle finger to any who pass judgment. Established in 2009 by Leslye Beaver, the non-drinking and non-smoking owner, she also has a similar dive in Sturgis, South Dakota. Although I am not a biker, nor a hard-core drinker, I do like the vibe especially after a day in the sand. It rattles my "Give 'em a whirl meter" to the bone when the bikes roll in or the drum hits the downbeat. I say go for it. read more

Visited this restaurant for the first time upon recommendations. Service was very slow and and waitress acted like she could care less (not busy 5pm). Food was okay but there is better places to go. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I was very excited to check this bar out, I love beavers!!! However, the bar was a bit unwelcoming and the karaoke guy refused me the last song a bit rudely. Overall I was just disappointed--I am sure they were closing a bit early as it was a Tuesday, but a friendlier staff would have made up for the experience. We heard how good this place was so we thought we would try it. Needless to say we left very disappointed. They were not very crowded when we arrived. The waitress took our drink order and brought them to us,she said she would bring us a menu. After 20 minutes still no menu, we went to the register to pay for the drinks. I told the lady what happened, she offered to give us a menu but I told her no thank you because we had already waited so long already. She did not charge us for the drinks, but we were really disappointed that we didn't get to eat there. After this experience I don't know if we will ever go back. read more

Love this place whenever we are visiting Myrtle Beach. Great atmosphere and I love sitting out front in the rocking chairs and just hanging out. Sometimes we make this place a bike trip destination for a fun day out and about on the bikes. Perhaps one of the few reviews NOT about bike week. Went here for dinner with family from SC who knew of this place, and it did not disappoint! We had the fried flounder platter, which was cooked perfectly. The baked beans are some of the best I have ever had! read more

This place might be a fun hangout, but eat elsewhere. We went during the 4-6pm happy hour and it was very disappointing. The tea tasted like dishwater, the wings were dry and tasteless, the fish tasted old, and the staff was inattentive. Shrimp and fried oysters were the only exception - they were both okay. read more

Pretty cool place to hang out when they've got a good band or during my bike week. Sunday morning breakfast is one of my favorites. $5 for all you can eat and it's as good you'll find anywhere. I was told that the owner donates all of the money to charity too. Right on!! read more

Honestly have not ever eaten here, except for the Sunday morning breakfast buffet. Which by the way, for the price is exceptional. It's a great place to stop for a drink. Beer is cold and cheap. Bartenders are friendly and outgoing. We are locals and usually don't show up until around midnight. It gets rolling on weekends for last call. Have meet several new friends there.
