    Chiken tenders and fries

Back again in murrell's inlet, and drunken Jack's. I got the chicken tenders and fries. I'm allergic to seafood and had the burger last time so my options were a little bit limited. I was a little skeptical about the Tenders but they were actually pretty good. The flavor was good the tenders were juicy and not too much breading which I like. The atmosphere is nice and you can sit by the inlet or inside. The service was fast and nice. The best time to go is between 4 and 5. After five is when it gets crowded.

Wow! Amazing food, exceptional service, waterfront views that can't be beat!! Found this gem while in Murrells Inlet and it was by far some of the most delicious food we have had! I had the triggerfish sandwich and husband has the crab cake sandwich both delicious. We had the shrimp skewer appetizer and the flavor was incredible! I love the vibe of this restaurant very old and nautical. Go check them out you won't be disappointed!

I w as not really looking forward to going here, but it turned out okay. Grace and Mandy, the bartenders took good care of us. I started with a cosmo which was delicious. For dinner, we decided to go on our own. I got the tuna and he got the she grab soup. Both of our appetizers were delicious. Then we tried the boom boom shrimp. They were excellent as well. He was impressed because they didn't have tales on them. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

We were seated immediately at 530 on a Tuesday. Server was friendly, attentive, and timely. Restaurant was relaxed and spacious. I didn't feel like I was crammed up on other tables. Chef Casey's Risotto was very good, but I will say the risotto was more "lukewarm" than hot. I probably wouldn't order it again for $40+, but it was worth trying for sure. Drunken Jacks Sampler was really tasty. Kids said fries were delicious. All in all, would definitely revisit.

Food and atmosphere was great! Our waitresses did a great job attending to us and was the sweetest. We were celebrating my husband's bday and he received a free slice of cake with a candle. Overall great experience.

I heard they had the best hush puppies in town so had to come by and check them out. They were tasty with the sweet butter, but were more like a sweet doughnut than a hush puppy to me but my wife and son love them. The boom boom shrimp was delicious. Very large and just spicy enough. I got the Chef Casey's risotto which was very good with the crab, blackened mahi-mahi and blackened scallops. Services the bar was excellent and the seating comfortable.

Ok the views here are beautiful. And the servers were very attentive and nice. It's also a pretty busy place. The food on the other hand was just ok. I would suggest going with fried fish options because the people near me seemed to enjoy those. The seafood risotto was subpar especially since it's one of their signature dishes. The steak was ordered to be medium. It came out very rare. The key lime pie was ok.

We visited Drunken Jack's on a holiday weekend shortly after lunchtime and were fortunate enough to get bar seating overlooking the boardwalk and water. While there's plenty of seating inside (that makes you feel like you're inside a yacht), there's plenty of outdoor seating, so enjoy the Al fresco dining experience. Our hostess was very attentive and friendly, and our food came out right away. Every table is served complimentary hush puppies, which were delicious and served with honey butter. For my entree, I had the blackened triggerfish sandwich, which was substantial and served with French fries and a side of coleslaw. Overall, fun environment that's even better with shaded seating overlooking the water. Plenty of parking out front.

Absolutely wonderful. Easy parking for the handicap out front. We walked on the ramp as I used a walker. Staff greeted us inside. All of my senses were hit at once with music , the delicious aroma of fantastic dishes prepared and a beautiful view of the Creek. The staff helped us with the lift to get upstairs. It was very safe. Brooklyn was our server and she was both professional and friendly. We loved her sense of humor too. Cory took my walker and placed it where ever walkers go during the meal with the promos to return it when needed. We placed our requests and the food arrived quickly. It was perfect in every way. I would recommend the Blackbeards Salad. I think there was enough food on my plate to serve Blackbeards crew. Cory, the manager came around and we raved about the salads. As well as Brooklyns professionalism and humor. After we paid ... Cory returned my walker as promised. This was such a pleasant meal. Thank you From Willie And Bev

Late review for a visit a year ago. Arrived late one evening. A bit of a wait for seating but got a drink at the bar while waiting. Eventually seated on deck in the area overlooking water. Excellent service. Couldn't resist risotto dish but since I'm not the biggest mahi fan I had them substitute grouper. It was to die for!!! Can't remember what hubby got but he liked it also. It was late and dark so pics aren't the best. Will definitely be back!!

Mannnn! This is some of the best food I've had in a long time. I've been to Myrtle Beach more than I can remember and have never come across this gem!! The food was excellent, the service was amazing and just a great relaxing atmosphere on the water I might add!

Sunday Special - Shrimp & Grits
    Kerri B.

Service was great, the SheCrab soup was HOT and very good, the hush puppies were sweet & hot. I was visiting family for the holidays and all I wanted while in the Low Country was Shrimp & Grits. I was very disappointed with Jack's, it simply was not appetizing at all. It looked as if someone had sneezed on it, almost slimy. Their version of andouille sausage just did not taste right. But the shrimp were good, not fishy nor chewy; so I ate them and after scraping off the gravy, most of the stone milled grits. Would come back for their scallops or fried shrimp, definitely.

    Me being goofy.

Ask the Community - Drunken Jack's Restaurant & Lounge

    Do they take reservations?

I don't think so. If you're going on a weekend, get there early or prepare to wait an hour or more. I usually go for lunch to avoid the lines

Are the making the parking lot bigger.?

There is extra parking across the street. The same people own both businesses.

Costa Restaurant in Murrells Inlet delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish…read more I ordered the halibut special, and it was absolutely fantastic--perfectly prepared, fresh, flavorful, and easily one of the best seafood dishes I've had in a long time. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate that leaves it. What truly elevated the evening, though, was our server, Molly. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made sure every detail of our meal was taken care of with genuine hospitality. If you're looking for exceptional food paired with top-notch service, Costa is a must-visit when you're in Murrells Inlet. We'll definitely be back!

Wow what a disappointment! Came here to try after reading…read moresuch rave reviews and received less than satisfactory meals. Dover scallops and risotto - over cooked risotto (almost mush consistency), burnt butter on the scallop sear. I decided to send the dish back because the scallops were not seared well and undercooked in the middle. Server comes back after talking to the kitchen and the response was "if I was sure I wanted the scallops to be remade because they are a high cost menu item" or something to that line. Ended up ordering a sausage pasta with broccoli rabe, and that was equally dissatisfying with the lack of balance with the bitterness of the rabe and pasta sauce. What a disappointment for a restaurant that prides itself on local seafood.

The place was fairly empty when we arrived. Right after we sat down a large family reunion group was led in and was seated in the inclosed porch. Our server arrived and took our order. Bev was having the pasta primavera. I went with their famous personal pizza. We were waiting 45 minutes (quite awhile for our food.). I think I was finished with my second coffee. Finally my pizza arrived. Hot steaming and delicious. I waited for Bevs food to arrive. Letting my food cool down a bit. 15 minutes later still no dish. There was a mix up on our orders and the kitchen thought her food was out so they gave her dinner to someone else ordering the same thing. The manager came to our table talked with us and apologized for the mix up. We understand human error. He paid for our dinner and dessert. It was so kind of him to go above and beyond expectations. We really appreciated his kindness and professionalism. When Bevs food arrived it was absolutely delicious. The manager offered to make me a fresh pizza but it was still very warm. It did not need replacing. Bovines pizza is made in a brick oven . You can watch them make it. It is located by the entrance way. Our server kept an eye on us to see if we needed anything. We were all set. He was great refilling my coffee and Bevs tea. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. Everyone is so kind. The food delicious and a great view of the inlet. Notable mentions were the escargot & fried scallops. DEFINITELY request bread because it's so fluffy and good. I went for the grouper special which was honestly the most unimpressive thing at the table and relatively bland. We tried a variety of steak from the New York strip, the dry aged ribeye, and the filet. They were all fine, but nothing superb. The BEST entree at the table was the elk tenderloin. It basically melted in your mouth. The table tried 3 different old fashions and were impressed with all of them. The wine list is EXTENSIVE and I didn't feel as though our server really helped sift through it or make recommendations so we went with the first red we saw and it was decent. Now the desserts may have just been the star of the show. From the pistachio ice cream to the dark chocolate creme brûlée... I'd go back just to sit at the bar for a drink and dessert! She was prompt, attentive, and gave extra attention to details like bringing a plastic plate instead of a ceramic one when I asked for an empty plate for our toddler. We had a large party and that didn't diminish the quality of our service. The food was fantastic. The crab cakes say "no filler" on the menu and they mean it. That was exactly how a crab cake should be made and the texture was perfect. Our party had every iteration of oysters you can get and they were all great. They were accommodating for a member of our party with celiac and her food was exactly what she was promised. Other points of note: Bar service was quick and friendly. The hostesses promptly accommodated our party of 10. The straps on the high chair actually worked (if you're a parent then you know what I mean). And my favorite of all: there was no tv to be seen from our table so we were all able to chit chat without distraction from glowing tv screens.
