My hotel was right around the corner from Hmart, and I've been in several of them, especially in Atlanta where I live. This particular Hmart is special because of the food hall. It's got so many options for food, baked goods, snacks, and plenty of Korean options. Tonight I picked this spot because I had a hungering for teokbokki, and I got to add some stuff to enhance the dish. Super fast service, staff was so nice, and I got back to my hotel and now am mowing it down. Delicious! I love this spot in the H Mart food court! If you're looking for a meal that not only tastes good, but also gives you a lot of value for the money, this is it. You get quite a bit of food for the money. These cup bops are a mix of rice, noodles, lettuce, and your choice of proteins with a sauce that brings it all together. Snack House was open for Christmas Day so my dad and I decided to try it out for take out. It is a small stall in the H-Mart food court. You go up to the cashier at the front and order. Afterwards, they give you a pager which tells you when your food is ready. We ordered a tonkatsu cupbop. The sauce it comes with is not a traditional katsu sauce but it was tangy and sweet and went well with the rice bowl. The bowl was mostly rice but was quite hefty and I enjoyed the lettuce and the small veggie dishes on top. All in all, a nice rice bowl option at H-Mart. read more

Value: 5 stars. Most bowls were $15.99-16.99, which sounds like a lot for food at a food court. However, the portions were large (think bigger than a Chipotle bowl) and the food quality was amazing. Decided to get the chicken and beef cupbop (medium spicy level) because a few of my friends recommended it. The woman taking the order was very friendly and let me know that it would take 30 minutes (ahead of me ordering) but it was worth it. Although it is pricey, the portion is huge and comes with a drink (water bottle or soda can). Milkis is extra. My husband and I shared, and we both loved it. The sauces were great - although my husband ended up drinking the whole water bottle because it was a little too spicy for him. :) I like that the bowl also comes with two small pieces of mandu. I was looking for a quick bite and wanted to try something other than the Korean fried chicken I usually get; this place is a hidden gem! They serve massive rice bowls that's absolutely loaded with meats. I got the pork and chicken bowl which easily serves two people, it comes with tons of meat that is perfectly cooked and well marinated. There are dumplings, glass noodles, lettuce, and a couple different sauces drizzled across the top (eel sauce / spicy mayo?) that make each bite so delicious. My fiancé is half Korean so we've eaten a lot of Korean food in restaurants, at family gatherings, and in our home. This is hands down the best Udon I've ever had! The beef has a unique charred flavor that seeps in to the broth. The cupbop was also delicious! This is traditionally more of a street food and resembles bibimbap. I liked the addition of the potato glass noodles. The vegetables were all very fresh. Portion sizes were large, especially for the reasonable price. We both picked a menu item and split them. Snack House is located in a Korean Food Hall connected to an asian grocery store. Loved this concept! Wish we had one near us. Thank you for the great meal and service. The staff are very friendly, and the dumplings are pretty good. They're fried until crispy, then drizzled generously with sauce. I knocked off a point because, unfortunately, $13 is a bit too expensive for what it is. Beneath the dumplings, the salad is just some lettuce and a single broccoli. I have been not back in town for a year, and the places around H Mart have disappeared and replaced with new Costco (still under construction) I was looking for J Kitchen but it was gone. Later I found out they move west down Ogden inside the plaza with Jewel Osco. I ordered the Korean Chirashi that was listed as Summer Special. It was delicious. It is almost like a Korean fusion style sashimi salad on top of rice. The sprinkles of seaweed is kind of salty, but the steam rice helps settle the flavor. Highly recommend to try it out! read more

WOW. Do NOT pass on this place. I almost bailed when I realized it was in the food court of H-mart. SO FREAKING GOOD. I had the beef cupbop (see photos); it was not only MASSIVE but unbelievably delicious. The sauce was plentiful and had good spice without hurting (level two); the beef was charred to perfect and thinly sliced; the glass noodles were AMAZING. Rice, lettuce, shredded carrots to top it all off. Almost forgot about the two little dumplings, just for fun! I also tried the veggie sushi roll- it was only $5 and it was big (maybe 10 pieces?). No sauce, nothing fancy but it was tasty and fresh. Had veggies, tofu, and initiation crab stick. Honestly I was too full after the bowl but it was a nice appetizer. #1 very most important, this place is a stall inside the food court connected to the grocery store. GPS gets you to the parking lot but not the food court. The food is good, at least good for a mall restaurant. I had the combo which had good variety. There is a busy common area for eating.
