A cozy Korean spot serving up decent "comfort food." Nothing wildly phenomenal, but a clean, reliable place to get solid food with friendly service. The Spicy Pork Cupbap was quite tasty. The GLASS NOODLES (served with it) were some of the best I've ever tried. Although, the portion of the "Spicy Pork" itself was a bit underwhelming (in terms of quantity, texture, and flavor). Highly recommend ordering a side of Spicy Mayo and Garlic Soy to drizzle on top of the bowl for some extra flavor. The Rose Tteokbokki was okay. I selected an optional addition of Mozzarella Cheese along with it, but it had a VERY funky scent when it came out, which made it almost unpleasant to eat. While it was plenty cheesy and creamy, it was also missing the depth of flavor I was hoping for. It wasn't BAD, but I've had better. Perhaps I'd opt for the (regular) Tteokbokki instead of the Rose Tteokbokki next time (and I'd skip the cheese). I always appreciate when a spot offers free cups of water, which Kogii Kogii Express did. Overall, it was a solid dining experience. If you're craving Korean comfort food (in the suburbs), this place is a good choice. read more

Get the wings - seriously, they were absolutely incredible. The were so crispy on the outside, juicey on the inside, and full of flavor in every bite. The wings were also MASSIVE to boot. The kimchi bulgogi fries were also delicious to go with them, though not as wildly amazing as the wings. We also got a corndog with meat & spicy mayo and a corndog with hot Cheetos and cheese. They were alright, but just kind of mid. They looked fantastic though & would make a great insta post. Ordering was at a self serve kiosk with photos, and there were options to dine in or take out. I could have sworn I put all vegetables as my base but she gave me all japchae. That's fine I suppose. The noodles were still tasty. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. We also had an order of chicken wings with garlic soy sauce. The wings were perfectly crispy and the meat was juicy. The corn dog was delicious. It had a good cheese pull with a succulent sausage. Service was very friendly. There is free water and hot tea. There is an adequate amount of tables. We went there at 2:45 on a Sunday. The restaurant closes at 4 on Sundays. We walked in and thr whole place looked closed up and all the employees were on their phones. We walked up to the front counter and the woman said "I will take your order, but we are out of many things. For instance, we have no rice or noodles." ...really?! It seemed like the restaurant workers just didn't want to work for the remaining time and just didn't cook the things that are the MAIN ingredients of their dishes. It was my first time eating a Korean corn dog. It's hard to go wrong with cheese and hot dog but it is not something I'd ever crave or order myself again. It was super crunchy but it would've been better if the entire dog was half cheese and half hot dog. Instead, the first several bites were all cheese and the last half was the hot dog. I do wish they offered a half portion of the fried chicken because a whole portion if I'm dining solo is more than i need. I usually get delivery but eating in is great too. Ive only eaten in on the weekends - the shop is basic fast casual - clean and chill. Ive introduced three friends to Kogii Kogii and they've all found it delicious and fresh. Street food always hits the spot! It's my version of comfort food! Kogii Kogii did not disappoint! Located in a strip mall there is ample parking available!m. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside..they have multiple patio tables available. Thanks to a Yelp Community Event I was able to try their Korean Corn Dog and Korean fried chicken wings with my kiddos. In addition we ordered japchae, kogii fries, Bibimbap bowl, and boneless wings. Ok we might have gotten too excited and over ordered but we really wanted to try all the things...and besides we're A-OK with leftovers! The japchae had a nice healthy amount of bulgogi in it which we appreciated...other places tend to skimp on the meat. The Korean corn dog was delish and also recommend getting it topped with ketchup, spicy Mayo, and sugar...such a nice combination of sweet, sour, very slight spice. Wings we had both bone in and boneless were fried perfectly. We had the garlic soy flavor and it was very good. For the bibimbap bowl you get to select your toppings from the fresh topping area...up to 12 toppings so you can load it as much or as little as you would like!!! Pro tip...since everything is made to order...I recommend ordering ahead either by calling in or online. Pro tip #2 they do have a Monday-Friday happy hour special for the bibimbap bowl...get it and go ahead and add on the fried egg (it's extra) but definitely makes the bowl amazing! read more

The service at Kogii was spectacular, with incredibly helpful staff giving you recommendations and helping you through the menu if it's your first time trying Korean food. There's some indoor seating as well as outdoor seating so it's perfect for summer time hang outs! Their sweet and spicy Korean chicken wings are SOOOOO GOOD, you guys!! They're soooo crispy and the perfect mix of flavors!! I was obsessed, I'll definitely get 2 orders next time! The Korean corn dog that I got had half cheese and half sausage. This place is DELICIOUS! It's a small family owned business and they were crazy packed when we got there. I LOVE seeing small businesses thrive like this =) This was the first time I've had Korean fried chicken and a Korean corn dog and I was blown away. Why didn't I know about these things years ago?! I tried the corn dog with half cheese and half sausage and I wish I would have gotten all cheese. I HATED the sausage part of it however the cheese?! All day, everyday. Game on haha. I don't like corn dogs to begin with so I had very low expectations... I'm VERY happy I gave this a try because I am hooked. The jumbo chicken wings were equally as delicious. Juicy, lots of flavor and cooked with so much love. I really enjoyed the food from here and plan on coming back again soon. When my future hubs and I got there we were told there would be an hour wait (no problem). I personally think it's great to see that a small business is thriving to the point where their kitchen is backed up. Now... I'm staying at a hotel within walking distance from this place. I saw it while walking to another restaurant and had to try it! I adore Bibimbap. It was delicious. I didn't even need any side sauces that it came with - it was just that good. I will definitely be back when I'm in town. I obviously can't comment on the other food they had as that was all I got. Placed an order pretty soon after they opened and it was ready promptly. The worker was very nice and helpful. I'm a to go kind of person so I can't really comment on ambiance. I saw there's a happy hour (3-5 pm) special on bibimbap for $6.99 too, so I'm gonna have to check that out. They have Korean corn dogs now and they're good! I haven't been back since recently and everything is still good as it was before! I think there menu changed just a tad bit but you can't go wrong with the menu options. We got the boneless garlic soy 10/10 -- the chicken was so juicy! The breading was a great ratio and wasn't thick. It has a great crunch to it and the flavor was really good. Classic bowl 10/10 -- so good! We added a lot of veggies and it was super refreshing and light. Spicy Rice Cakes 9/10 -- I added all the additives that came with it, cheese, ramen, and bulgogi. It wasn't as spicy but it was flavorful! Adding all three definitely made it hard to finish haha the rice cakes were cooked to perfection as well. Overall, the food was good! Right when you walk in, the seating is first come first serve. There isn't much seating but it's great for a small party of 4. They do have high chairs as well for kids but it's a little tight. We were so happy to find this quick eats comfort food Korean restaurant in this area. The restaurant has tables in the front with of course Korean music videos playing in the background and the kitchen in the back. They do have bathrooms in the back for their customers. It's in a busy area of other restaurants and stores but we were able to find parking close by. You go up to the cashier and pay first and we waited at one of the tables for the food. They offer free cucumber infused water and barley tea. The food came out quickly and were large portions for a good price! We had 3 entrees to share plus a can of soda and the total was about $40. Between two people we had enough food to take home. We got the cupbap with Bulgogi which had white rice, noodles, fried egg and the Bulgogi beef, and the stand out for me was actually the noodles! We also got the spicy rice cakes with ramen and the boneless fried chicken in garlic soy sauce with 10 pieces which were large sized which came with fries and a can of soda included. Let me repeat, this was at 5.45pm on a Friday. I did my order and went back to collect it at 6.55pm. I have been craving for some tteok-bokki spicy rice cake with ramen but there isn't really one near my house so hubby and I decided to drive to Naperville for some and this little place was awesome! They have bibimbap and chicken but nooooooo that's NOT what I was craving. I HAD to order what I came here for.
