We did it, Joe! We got a resy at Snail Bar! We really enjoyed the atmosphere here and loved the decor as it was all Eames Institute provided. It gave the whole place a super cool feel. The food was fantastic and service was wonderful. There was a mishap with our reservation as our confirmation said indoors and theirs said outdoors but they accommodated me and my chilly self and it was perfect. I should note that we loved everything we ate, wanted bigger portions but did not get the snails. It was only two of us and an order of 6 felt like a commitment. read more

Really, really enjoyable food. When you are able to taste all the flavors and they combine well, it's just such a good bite. Definitely get the snails, don't forget to sop up the butter in the shell! The uni on bay shrimp on an arepa... was the favorite at the table. Uni from Santa Barbara was light and had a good bite. On the charcuterie board, someone please tell me what that thing wrapped in the pastry dough was. It was delicious. Maybe a paté en croute? Pretty good assortment of natural wines. Note, there is a corkage fee of $10 for bottles so don't let that surprise you. They also don't take reservations, only call ahead for wine club members. This brand new natural wine bar will knock your socks off. Their service was wonderful. When you get up to go pick your wine out the lady there was incredibly helpful and fill with tons of knowledge. All of the dishes that we ate we great. Highlights would definitely be the Petit Plateau (crudo plate), Pan con Tomate, and Bay Shrimp Arepa. They also had the Colombian hot dog on special with was very tasty and a super fun dish that I had never seen before. Would definitely return. read more

Went here for dinner for my birthday with my best friend and we had a decent time. It was a busy Friday night but we were seated inside within 10 minutes thankfully. I got a couple glasses of wine recommended to me by the waitress which was one of the best I've ever had and we got the oysters, kabocha squash dish and the steak tartare. The oysters weren't that flavorful, the kabocha squash was amazing and the steak tartare was good. It was a little overpriced but I would come back again to try the snails. Took one star off because there were a group of white people who were extremely loud and disruptive to the entire restaurant and no one said anything. Delicious snails with bread, very clean and buttery. Scallop Crudo and Cherry stone Clams were so fresh and unique. I also really enjoyed the Kasu Custard dessert. We stood and ate over a barrel by the street which was a bit uncomfortable but you sort of forget when you start eating the food. The 2 star ranking is mainly for the food. The drinks selection is great but boy oh boy, I don't even know where to start with the food. We got the salmon tartar, alp blossom cheese & bread, and gnudi. The quality of the food itself was really just OKAY bordering on kinda gross (mainly the gnudi). My main issue was the pricing relative to how good the food was. The alp blossom cheese and bread was just 5 slices of cheese sprinkled with a few almonds per slice drizzled in honey and it came out to roughly $18, like really?? If you're going to charge that much for cheese and bread, there really needs to be more components to it. Same goes for the tartar, it was basically salmon tossed in a pseudo ranch sauce wedged between 2 chips; THAT'S IT! Lastly, the gnudi tasted like a Kraft Mac and cheese packet that went bad and soured. I'll be coming back, but only for the drinks, do not order any food! read more

All the food was very very good. My son loved the snails and the ham and cheese sandwich. The pan con tomate also excellent. The service was a bit spotty and could use some improvement. I requested my sons dish (ham and cheese) come out first and then everything else could come as ready, but no rush. The 4 things I ordered actually came out first and very fast, and his came out last. The excuse was that his takes longer than the others. I get that but I would have appreciated the others be held while his is made. Or at least been told that request cannot be accommodated. Also, when I asked what the three cheeses were the server said "a cows milk, 2 sheep's milk and one of the sheep's is aged." That's not really helpful so I skipped on the cheese plate. read more

For example, the scallop crudo was served with pineapple guava and some sort of creamy yogurty thing, and tomato? All the flavors clashed against each other to confuse your brain.
