Wow! We really enjoyed our experience last night. It was our first time at Belotti. A good friend got us a gift card, which felt like a good reason to make our way to the restaurant finally. My husband and I arrived around 6pm with no reservation. They told us it would be about 30 mins and they'd text. When it had been about 45 minutes, we headed over. While we didn't get a text, they did seat us outside around the corner within a couple of minutes. It was a beautiful, sunny evening and they have outdoor heaters. The olive oil and bread are so good! Our friend recommended the stuffed beef shank pasta, the duck pasta, and the burrata pasta. Instead of ordering apps, we went ahead with the three pastas: Agnolotti Di Lidia, Bigolli Al Sugo D'Anatra, and Spaghetti Pomodoro E Burrata. We also got a bottle of wine. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the area! Every dish we ordered was delicious. The bigoli was a standout- the noodles are cooked perfectly al dente and the duck is so tender. We really enjoyed the tagliatelle as well- the boar was very aromatic. Desserts were delicious and the olive oil they used for the complimentary bread was some of the best olive oil I've tasted. Definitely make a reservation if you can. We managed to snag a Sat lunch reservation for 4 people the night before and it looked like a lot of people coming in had reservations. What makes this response difficult to understand is that you were actually the person who greeted us and told us we would need to wait another hour. I understand that a new employee may have made a mistake, but once the situation was brought to your attention, there was still no attempt to find a solution. Instead, we were simply told to keep waiting. The problem was never the mistake itself. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. The problem was how it was handled afterward. That's why this response feels more like an explanation than a resolution. If you knew the information we were given was incorrect, I would have expected some effort to make things right rather than simply asking us to wait longer. Been wanting to try this place and finally managed to snag a reservation for two. It's definitely tough to get a table here, especially for larger groups like four, since the restaurant is pretty tiny -- both indoors and outdoors -- and it's a very popular neighborhood spot. They started us off with complimentary bread, which was a nice touch. We were craving pasta, so we ordered two dishes: the CASONCELLI BERGAMASCHI and the TAGLIATELLE AL CINGHIALE. Both were delicious, though I personally liked the casoncelli a bit more. They also have an extensive pasta selection to choose from. We also ordered the broccoli picanti, which turned out to be a heavier vegetable dish than we expected because of the rich béchamel sauce. The service was friendly, but you could definitely feel that they were trying to turn tables quickly and keep things moving. Food is as authentic as can be!! Came out hot and smelling amazing. Perfectly al dente, and filling. The salad is simple yet so delicious. The waiter kindly explained to us the whole menu, and he made us even more excited for our dinner. The owner is Italian, and you can tell he is passionate about his food. The restaurant is cozy with table and counter seating by the bar. They do have outdoor seating with heat lamps. Our server, Paige, took care of us and was very helpful, attentive, and courteous. The hostess and the other servers were very polite and thoughtful. Complimentary Bread w/Olive Oil - the bread was light, soft, and airy. Their olive oil was very good and high quality. I finally went to Belotti! It's a pretty small space so we had to wait 3 weeks to secure a table for 4 for dinner on a Friday or weekend, so plan accordingly. We ordered a bunch of items to try since everything looked so good. Here's what we got: - Lattuga $16 - Agnolotti $19 - Casoncelli $19 - Pasta alla ligure $24 - Mushroom papperdelle $20 - Brasato $36 - Aeperol spritz $16 - Bunet $13 The standout dish for us was the pasta alla ligure. It's a vegetarian dish but had the most flavor out of everything we ordered. It's a filled pasta w silky, cheesy goodness inside. The green beans and other toppings were bright, refreshing and added great texture to the pasta. We also really enjoyed the agnolotti which was filled with flavorful meat. We came around 5:30 PM and got lucky with a seat outside. My wife and I shared the Insalata Golosa, she loved the whipped Gorgonzola cheese and I loved the fresh pears. Everything tasted very fresh and it was a great appetizer. I also appreciated that they split the salad into two separate plates for us. Definitely get the pappardelle -- it is AMAZING!!! The sauce is soooo tasty... rich and creamy with mushrooms, parsley, and grana padano cheese blended into every bite. Very, very good!!! The long, wide pasta is perfect for soaking up all that delicious sauce, making each bite absolutely satisfying. We also ordered the Tagliolini Burro e Acciughe. The thin egg pasta paired beautifully with the anchovies, beef reduction, and grana padano. Every bite was buttery! The burrata salad was also good. It came with organic spring mix, celery, cherry tomatoes, creamy burrata cheese, crunchy crostini, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar that tied everything together perfectly. I love yelp for helping me find this place! It was packed on a late Tuesday evening but we were able to score a table outside on the cute back patio. It was plenty warm with the heaters! Service was so nice and helpful with the huge menu of soooo many amazing dishes! It was hard to decide. Started with their awesome bread and olive oil paired with a vesper and a Manhattan. We had the vitello tonnato- thin slices of delicious beef topped with a tuna "hummus". Not what I was expecting but so amazing!!! We had their signature pasta dishes. Agnolotti de lidia- fresh pasta stuffed with beef sausage escarole cheese and so much goodness, topped in a beef reduction. There's a full bar and a menu that includes lots of fresh pasta options, a wine list, and some sides/ appetizers made with fresh ingredients. The vibe here is very welcoming and cozy with everyone here being very friendly and giving you a great sense of hospitality. Like a great neighborhood spot that you want to be coming back time and time again. I didn't have a reservation. I walked up because I was in the area and wanted to eat here because my brother and his family have been saying so many good things about this place. I was seated at the bar (usually my favorite spots at restaurants) relatively quickly. I got a delicious Negroni to start and ordered the agnolotti de lidia. The pasta was cooked perfectly and I was savoring each and every bite with the delicious sauce. Definitely wanna come back soon and try some of the other items on their menu. Belotti has been a must-try on my list with my best friend! Since we were in the area, we chose to eat here. From the high praise and detailed menu, we were intrigued. Though at the end, we left yearning for more. We arrived on Christmas Eve without reservations. Reservations are recommended, but we're grateful we got to sit at their outdoor patio. They have indoor seating in their quaint, cozy, yet elevated restaurant space. Around the corner, they have a heated parklet. The service was terrific. Our server was all smiles, energetic, and so friendly! We were tended to in the best way. Now for the food, my best friend and I both got pasta. I chose the Bigoli Al Sugo D'anatra, and she got the Tagilatelle Al Cinghiale. Both of us noticed our pasta was cold, not warm. It was cooked al dente, but definitely on the firmer side rather than chewy. The duck itself was excellent, tender, and savory. I had a bite of my friend's dish, which was both sweet and delicious. My wife and I had a double date at Belotti on a Friday evening and the place was packed. You might be able to pull off a walk-in if you're just dining as a couple, but if you're coming as a larger party, you'll definitely want to make a reservation at least a week ahead of time. We booked our reservation about three days in advance, so we could only find a 7:00 p.m. slot for a table on the sidewalk patio. Fortunately, despite evening temperatures in the mid-50s, the heat lamp next to our table provided more than enough warmth for us to feel comfortable during the entirety of our meal. Our party started the meal by sharing a salad and a piece of bruschetta per person, which is priced per piece at $4.95. The grilled bread is topped with an abundance of tomatoes and the creamy burrata atop is delicious. For a group of 4, if you order two salads, the kitchen can portion out the salad so everyone gets their own plate. While tempting, ultimately, we decided to forego this option in order to save our appetite for our entrees and dessert. While we waited for our mains to arrive, complementary table bread was brought over with olive oil -- refilled for free if you manage to finish it all. I would recommend holding off on having too much bread and olive oil initially, because you'll certainly want to use the bread later on to sop up all the delicious sauce in the pasta dishes. The pasta menu can feel overwhelming but if you're stuck, I would highly recommend trying out one of their stuffed pastas. My favorite stuffed pasta, which I've gotten a handfull o times at Belotti's other location, is the casoncelli Bergamaschi: "Bergamo style stuffed pasta with beef, prosciutto, pork shoulder, Grana Padano cheese, smoked pancetta, butter, and sage." Another stuffed pasta I really enjoy is the Agnolotti di Lidia: "Traditional Piedmontese style stuffed pasta with beef shank, flat iron, pork loin, sausage, escarole, spinach, Grana, and beef reduction." Pastas are cooked to a perfect al dente -- as one would come to expect from a place that specializes in homemade pastas. Stuffed pastas are filled generously, and the pasta dough is rolled out to just the right thickness. Fillings are well-seasoned and can confidently stand on their own even without the additional sauce. Asides from the pasta, we also all shared a single order of the "Verdure Limone e scalogno": Swiss chard, kale, shallots, spinach, and lemon. The side is very rich tasting and actually reminded me of a creamed spinach. Because we were visiting to celebrate a birthday, the staff at Belotti surprised us with a complementary panna cotta, adorned with a birthday candle. We really appreciated this nice gesture. In addition to the panna cotta, our party also shared the fragolotti, a dessert pasta. It definitely sounded a bit strange on the menu, but I cannot recommend it enough. The strawberry filled chocolate Agnolotti is not overly sweet nor decadent and pairs perfectly with the fresh strawberries, chocolate crumbles, and crème anglaise. I cannot say enough good things about Belotti. Even when the check arrived, I was shocked that the default tip option selected was "No Tip," with 18% being the highest pre-calculated tip option. Far too many restaurants these days are pre-selecting the highest tip option on their mobile payment system -- offering percentages like 18%, 20% and sometimes even 25%. If you're looking for a wonderful place for a night out, I would highly recommend Belotti. read more

We came here to celebrate my Nonni's 90th birthday. Overall, the food was a mix of good and just okay, but the experience didn't fully meet expectations for a special occasion. The shredded beef over polenta was good, though the portion felt small and I would've liked more polenta. The gnocchi in bolognese was also very good. The ravioli with prosciutto was okay, but unfortunately there was a hair in a ravioli. The staff did apologize, replaced it, and offered a complimentary dessert, which we appreciated. The chocolate ravioli with strawberries didn't quite live up to expectations, but the tiramisu was good. Service overall was not great, and even with a reservation we were seated outside, which wasn't ideal in the rain and cold weather that day. read more

Actually found Belotti on the Resy site and crossed referenced it with Yelp. It had great reviews on both sites. Although our original plan to dine in fell through, we were excited to switch to takeout and finally try the highly-rated restaurant. For an Italian restaurant they have quite a few vegetarian dishes and several that can be made vegetarian. That's a big plus! We went with the following dishes: -mGnocci with a creamy tomato sauce instead of the default six meats Bolognese sauce - 2 PAPPARDELLE AI FUNGHI - one vegetarian style without the beef reduction and another as-is. Both were delicious and is one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. The one with the beef reduction did have a bit more umami to it. - SCARPINÒCC DE PARR - This was equally as good as the pappardelle with wonderful flavor and generous amount given. While the food took a bit longer than anticipated, it was absolutely worth the wait. I appreciate the attentive service I received at the bar; the hosts and bartender made sure I was comfortable, even offering water multiple times during the roughly 15-minute wait. The food was ready approximately 45 minutes after placing the order on the phone. The restaurant is small inside but offers ample seating, including a few tables out on the sidewalk. I arrived around 5:30 PM on a Saturday, and it filled up quickly with what appeared to be many repeat customers who clearly knew the staff. If you are a meat lover Dr you will like the agnolotti di Lidia. This little pasta packet was stuffed with beef shank, flat iron,pork loin, sausage, escarole, spinach, Grana Padama, beef reduction . What a lovely establishment!! One of my best friends had raved about Belotti. I made my reservation well in advance and my family has been looking forward to this for weeks! Belotti did not disappoint! Our server was helpful, I didn't get her name - but her recommendation on point. We had a reservation for an outdoor table, the weather was less accommodating for late July but they had heat lamps available. I do wish the outdoor seating was a bit more private, but it's definitely sidewalk seating. The pastas were delicious, the gnocchi airy, fluffy perfection. We loved the antipasto and bruschetta - but the desserts were phenomenal! We chose several different ones to sure. The panna cotta (not photographed was yummy), the tiramisu delicious if you're a traditionalist you can't go wrong; but the star was the Bunet, and their wine pairings were a great choice. Great experience from start to finish. We had a reservation on a Friday night - you need one otherwise the wait at 7PM was estimated to be 90 min to 2 hours! The space is small yet lively. Service was exceptional. I really wish I could remember our server's name b/c she was so attentive and had a fun personality. I went with all her recommendations from the wine selection to the main dish and even dessert and none of them disappointed. I appreciate that the menu offers several vegetarian options and a few that can be made vegetarian on request. For our appetizer, we ordered the Tortino Di Spinaci E Tartufo Nero - a spinach flan, finished with an egg yolk, brown butter sauce and shaved black truffles on top. A beautiful way to start the meal. For the main course, I almost chose the mushroom pappardelle but opted for the squash ravioli instead since that item was seasonal. So glad I did b/c each bite was a little pocket of goodness and paired nicely with a glass of full bodied Barberesco. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu with an espresso martini. My mom has raved about Belotti for years and I finally had the chance to go there with my mom's family for dinner on 2/22/2025. We made a reservation in advance so we were seated quickly when we arrived. Note that there's a 1.5 hour time limit. We started off with some salads. One was the lattuga though I can't remember the other one. For my main dish, I had tagliolini burro e acciughe. The sauce was a bit rich but I took the rest home for leftovers. It tasted even better the next day! I also took home my aunt's spaghetti al pomodoro, which I like a lot and would get next time. In addition to our main dishes, we shared Brussels sprouts and greens. I had a glass of moscato, which perfectly fit the bill when I asked our waitress for a sweet wine recommendation. For dessert we shared the budino (?) and affogato. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with recommendations. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. This place doesn't need another 5-star review, but I'll give it one anyway. First of all, we discovered this place during COVID and it sustained us weekly with amazing takeout meals. My wife and I went there last night for our anniversary, and I'm writing this review to recommend the Uovo E Asperaghi appetizer, which is egg and asparagus and polenta and truffles...well, I couldn't say more even if I understood what they did, but it was an amazing appetizer. Make a reservation (it's a very petite dining room), then run to Belotti! We got very, very lucky walking in last Wednesday in the middle of the afternoon. Thanks to the Yelpers who gave this lovely ristorante such love and great ratings. We were celebrating our sister-in-law's new citizenship, having come from the ceremony in downtown Oakland. This wasn't far and seems especially appealing. I mentioned to our server (who was a dream!) what we were there to celebrate and she gave my SIL a big hug when she came back to the table from the restroom. Such a friendly and lovely way to start our meal. She made recommendations on beverages, and answered any questions we had about the food options. There was enough texture, crunch, and flavor to awake our tastebuds, and it was a visual delight, too. We all ordered different pasta dishes. We dined on a beautiful salad with whipped ricotta, a breathtaking pasta with pancetta and a creamy sauce and braised beef that melted in your mouth. Coming back to remind you all that Belotti is amazing! One of the best Italian spots aroond Oakland. New things I tried: Got the stuffed spaghetti and the texture / nuttiness with the cheese is to die for. Aperol sprits was new for me too, and bartender makes it strong!! Living lettuce salad's pine nuts are so creamy.. I got to really appreciate it on my second try. Really has to be most memorable salad I've had from a restaurant. read more

Amazing meal! My husband and I shared the Lattuga salad (which was much larger than I expected). For our main courses, we shared the Agnolotti di Lidia and the Casoncelli. Both were ample portions, especially given the richness of both dishes. They were both honestly some of the best pasta dishes we have ever had. We will definitely be back. The only thing that wasn't great was that the bar chairs were a uncomfortable, but the service and food more than made up for that. read more

We went for lunch. The restaurant was fully packed. We didn't have a reservation so we were given bar seats. The food was amazing. Bartender was really fast and efficient ambience was wonderful. The price is a little bit on the higher side. read more
