Snakes & Lattes is a great place to grab a bite, play a game, or attend one of their special events. I've been numerous times for trivia events and most recently a puzzle murder mystery event. Prices are reasonable, drinks and food are good, and the staff are always friendly. They have a big variety of games to play, there is comfortable seating and clean bathrooms. I've tried a number of different things on the menu. If you want bar food, the Mexican street corn dip, cheesy bread and tater tots are winners. If you're looking for more of a meal that won't kill the diet, I recommend the chicken adobo bowl. I've had their chai latte and mocktails, both of which were good. I don't drink coffee but my friend does and he has always enjoyed their coffee drinks. If you go, parking is pretty easy and affordable at the Tyndall Garage and being so close to the U of A there are always people around at night so it doesn't feel creepy if you need to walk to the garage by yourself. read more

LOL, for us "old-timers" it took awhile to get everyone's order in. We ordered Bloody Mary's, Cheeseburger, French Toast and the Classic Breakfast. Such a cool concept for a place. You can eat, drink and play board games. Their coffee is pretty good and so was the food. It's a great place to meet up with friends for coffee and games or cocktails and games. This place has a great vibe and the "Game Master" was very nice. . *Tip: They have games to borrow, but they also sell some of the same games. If you're going with a larger group, it's cheaper to chip in and buy a game. It's $5 per person to play the games if you use the ones that remain there. I have been waiting for over a year for Snakes and Lattes to open and am so glad it finally has! It's a space where you can order food, drinks from the bar, and Presta Coffee. Their staff was friendly and the food was really good. Since they're a chain with locations in Tempe and Canada I wasn't sure how the food quality would be but I was pleasantly surprised. I would say their food prices are a bit high for Tucson and the seats/booths weren't comfortable enough for hours of playing games. When the food is higher priced and you add a a $5 game fee per person, plus drinks (even non-alcoholic).. it can add up quickly. It would be nice if the game fee was waived with a minimum food spend per person. The prices could very much be because of their location on University Blvd. They do have a good price on Presta coffee though! On weekend nights and as they get busier in the fall they will have a "game master" on staff to help you learn to play new games. It's nice to know if you take on a game you've never seen before someone friendly can help you and your group figure it out. Overall, Snakes and Lattes is a wonderful addition to the University area but the prices would lead me to probably just playing games and drinking a coffee next time. read more

We had flown into Tucson to watch the OSU vs UA football game and had about an hour to kill. We stumbled on to Snakes & Lattes to grab a quick snack. My husband and I split the veggie hummus wrap and sweet potato fries, he ordered a black coffee and I ordered my usual iced chai with oat milk. Service was extremely fast and staff so friendly and talkative. She offered lots of menu recommendations as she asked if it was the first time we came to the restaurant and it was. The wrap was a perfect shareable with yummy hummus and vegetables and the sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside, flavorful and not greasy. I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo lol! They have games you can play for $5 per person. While we were there, 5 groups of friends were just meeting to play games for the afternoon. Here's the issue with this place the few times I have gone in they have horrible customer service. This last visit topped it off, I will never go back. We drove 20 minutes to get latte and arrived 45 minutes before posted closing time. There was one table eating and when were walked they said they were closed. I mentioned the sign on door said they were still open. They said they were closing early. The entire staff was just standing around the bar doing nothing. I've been to Snakes & Lattes Tucson three times now and have never been disappointed with the food! The quality is excellent. It is true, as others have mentioned, that the food is on the costlier side. However, everything I've had from the menu has been delicious. So far I've tried the biscuits and gravy, the chips and queso, the cheeseburger, the mini chocolate mousse, the strawberry basil tart, the charcuterie, and a couple of items that are no longer on the menu so I won't make you jealous by naming them, ha. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions about specific ingredients. The games are plentiful and there is something for everyone. The music is a bit loud most of the time so I haven't gone to do work on my computer, but it's perfect for a bite to eat or hanging out with friends. I hope to return again and again! read more

We got shareable appetizers and we had their peach black tea. Everything was so good but the MVP of the entire meal was the nacho queso. Omg we all thought it was delicious and wanted more of it so we ordered tater tots (did not get to snap a picture because we all ate it too fast) with cheese on top and we had no regrets. The staff never acknowledged our presence or even made eye contact with us as we walked up to the bar to ask a question.
