So, the owner is a down to earth solid guy. He played college football for the University of…read moreIllinois and Howard. With that said, I brought a living social deal for 2 weeks of boot camp classes. The class times on their website are wrong!!! I know they are trying to update that, but I live by the web. New times: Monday- 9am Tuesday- 6am and 9am Wednesday- 9am Thursday- 6am and 9am Friday- 6am and 9am Saturday- 8am Since I came during a time when they didn't offer a class, Justin was gracious enough to give me my own boot camp class. He was back on my good side, and it was a great workout. So the majority of people here are athletes (highschool, college, pro, etc). Now, I am no athlete. I run, yoga, and go to a zumba class here or there. But, I lack any type of upper body strength. I didn't know if I could make it through a boot camp class. With that said, if you lack any physical endurance- you should go to a planet fitness. But most of the people that attend boot camps are just average people that work out. They are the non super athletes. Based on Justin's passion for fitness and his athlete background, these boot-camp classes are like little mini-personal training sessions to push you that extra mile. There are a lot of modifications too. Even though they need to work out some organization kinks for this new place, You should just do a drop in and give it a try. Plus, I am a big advocate that he does a lot of local community/health and wellness activities for the city of Detroit. It's a great way to give back. Stop supporting that chain of a gym and hit this local place up!!!!

My husband has been a member and employee at LA Fitness Roseville for about five years, and it's…read morehonestly sad to see how much the club has changed during that time. The atmosphere just isn't what it used to be. The original team created a positive, motivating environment, but over the years we've watched more than 40 different sales and operations employees come and go. My husband has been one of the only consistent staff members throughout all of the turnover. We're going to miss the old days, but it's time to move on to greener pastures. Areas That Need Improvement The biggest issue is the lack of drive from the current sales team. In the past, the sales staff were constantly making calls, following up with prospects, and working hard to bring in new members. They were motivated and took pride in growing the club. Now, it often seems like the sales desks are empty, and there isn't the same hustle. When memberships aren't being sold, personal trainers don't receive new clients, which directly impacts their income and their ability to support their families. Management should be asking why sales efforts have slowed so much and holding the team accountable. Roseville has become noticeably slower, and strong leadership is needed to rebuild the club's energy and culture. The current front desk manager also comes across as overly harsh at times. A little more warmth and stronger people skills would go a long way toward improving the member experience. The facility itself also needs attention: * There is often an unpleasant odor throughout the club, even while the cleaning staff is working. * The Kids Klub appears overdue for a deep cleaning. * Much of the equipment is outdated, and several machines are frequently out of service. Staff Who Deserve Recognition Not everything has been negative. There are still some amazing employees who truly care about the members. * Donelle at the 5:00 a.m. front desk is always welcoming, friendly, and greets members coming in and out. She sets a positive tone every morning. * Rhoda and Jackie in the Kids Klub are wonderful. They genuinely care about the children and make families feel comfortable leaving their kids in their care. Final Thoughts LA Fitness Roseville has unfortunately lost many of the hardworking employees who helped make this club successful. The culture has changed, morale feels lower, and the club doesn't have the same energy it once did. I hope leadership takes an honest look at what's happening because this location has so much potential with the right management and team in place.

Weight area isn't bad. The staff is very friendly and nice. Best thing about this location is the team. Would be great if they put money into the place to fix and update the locker room/bathrooms. Still unclear why they build a brand new La fitness off Van Dyke and then closed after a year, should bring all that new equipment to the 2 closest locations

The first day I…read moreused it, I went to Zumba and Fabricio was AMAZING - I wish I could have class with him all the time - he alone and that class was 10/10 rating. Now, the second day I went I scanned in with the pass and as I went into the ladies locker room I received a call from unknown number - I answered and it was a lady that was rude, then my phone service was going in and out - anyway I was told I needed to go to the sales desk to activate my pass. I walked up and experienced THE WORST attitude imaginable- Salena treated me unprofessionally and an annoyance by instantly saying " are you signing up or not" . I said " well I have 7 day pass and it depends on if I like the gym, staff and equipment, I was here one day so far, do people just instantly sign up on a free pass without experiencing the gym?" And she said " they just sign up". I'm confused that defeats the point of getting a week to try a gym out?!? Next, she said she was keeping my I.D. And I could get it when I left and I had asked her why she had to keep it and said it was her policy- which is fine but maybe she could have verbalized it. I still can't believe she is the sales manager. Shes VERY disrespectful. When I picked up my license I asked who was the manager and she said she was I said " and that's how you expect to get someone to sign up ?" And she said " you don't have to" and I said " well what if I wanted to ?!" She said " then do it " - WELP, You blew that SALENA. Selena does not have the people or communication skills to be SELLING memberships at a gym. For all these reasons I will not sign up and I refuse to finish my free pass. As soon as I left the gym I received an email with price deals that were cheaper than ever advertised. However, even a cheap price won't get me in there, it's too late. Lastly, the equipment is old but it did have different machines than my current gym which was nice, the machines are close together so you smell other B.O. and farts. No one wipes the machines down - I don't like the wet wipes I prefer the spray and paper towel. Lastly, the locker room floors were dirty and 3 women hogged the entire sauna by man spreading over the benches. To conclude I don't recommend going to THIS LA Fitness, there are so many options for gyms and you won't get treated like Sh*t. But, if you can find Fabricio teaching Zumba anywhere else , I recommend you try his class, you will love it!

I first walked into the studio with several sports injuries and an extremely limited idea of what Pilates even was. The owner, Barb, is truly wonderful, and took the time to ask me about what my fitness goals were, what my current issues were, and where I would like Pilates to take me. Talk about caring- you're not going to get that anywhere else! My formerly problematic hamstrings and badly healed rotator cuff injury no longer pain me, thanks to careful and expert instruction at the hands of the Pilates Connection staff. Every instructor is highly trained, really down to earth, and very talented. They want to help you become your best YOU, and not in a cheesy way either: Pilates helps you inside and out. I've become so much more aware of how my body moves, and my flexibility is lightyears better- not to mention the amazing toning and strengthening benefits! Also, there is no judgment at the studio. You don't have to be a fitness buff or a supermodel to fit in like other gyms or studios. I honestly could go on forever about how much I love Pilates Connection. Try it out yourself and see!
