This is not just a place for young, fit people; all ages come here, especially those of us who are of retirement age. Ryan and Rich helped me out today when I was charged for an expensive training package that I did not agree to by a trainer; I did not even have an appointment with him until next week. The trainer should be fired for having me unknowingly sign a blank contract and then adding a weekly training package and my credit card information to it. I told him repeatedly that I was not ready to agree to a training package before I had had my complimentary training sessions. I also told him that my wife would never agree to an expensive training package under any circumstances. This was our first week, and we were trying out the facilities with great enjoyment. I know that both Ryan and Rich will handle the trainer appropriately. He's lucky that I'm not his boss because he would be fired immediately. I look forward to coming back to my "happy place" (OneLife Fitness in Olney MD) every week for as long as I am able.

It's a fairly affordable membership and the amount of space and equipment is great for the cost. I would the only reason for docking a star is during busy hours (5 AM or 5 PM) it gets really packed. Packed to the point there may not be a treadmill available for use. It's best to go off hours when people are typically working (9 AM on a weekday). Otherwise, the facility is clean and well maintained. The pool option is a nice touch as well as the optional classes you can sign up for.

The owner was bullish, sexist, and spouted some very bizarre statements that almost bordered on conspiracy theories (the NOAA one was my favorite). He once made a joke about his pregnant wife being a broken sandwich maker and when no one laughed, he doubled down and re-explained the "joke". Very cool, dude. The owner wrote workouts for himself and himself only and became oddly competitive with anyone he thought he *should* be able to beat. Once watched him lift way too much weight, hurt his back, and rack himself all in a span of 20 seconds all because another dude was lifting more than him. Hilarious that he also harassed another member for wearing a weight belt but, yanno, break ya spine because ego. Super embarrassing for a gym owner. The gym itself was ok - equipment was hella used and I had the odd suspicion that he had no plans to update anything. Classes were tight and crammed and honestly, he was not a great coach for anyone more experienced. Dude was completely checked out so, again, not surprised this place closed.

They welcome absolutely anyone, regardless of your fitness level! There are plenty of people that are members whom are extremely new to fitness and then there are others whom are natural athletes, there is a great mixture of all fitness levels and it's an extremely encouraging and positive environment. The owners and the coaches are all very knowledgeable. The facility has plenty of equipment and is very well kept. If you have any hesitation about trying out crossfit, I'd stay quit that hesitation nonsense and just do it. The coaches and members here are all great people and provide endless support. If you look at most large gyms with a marketing crew, they always use bold and bright colors; not dull and dingy colors. The former owner had a nice yellow/gold tone that went well with the rest of the gym--see pics that show this on website. The wood counters clash with the baby blue. Other than the ugly color, the gym is same as it was before. A good amount of nautilus equipment and cardio for a decent workout. Hopefully the audio equipment for the machines will be replaced. They used to have a distorted sound and you had to plug in your headphones just right. I have not listened to them since re-joining, but it's the same old stuff there. Overall, a good place to workout.

Hi, I asked for a feedback form in the Club, but there didn't seem to be one…read more I joined the Club for the pool, having no idea how difficult it can be to get a swimming lane. No pool from 4pm-8pm as the swim team has it, mornings are tough as I constantly get kicked out of a lane due to classes, today 3 lanes were taken to do deep water aerobics for 3 people. I just learned if its not at least 10 people in the class I can refuse to move from my lane. I will refuse to move in the future. On Monday the pool is always filthy, mold everywhere, whatever the cleaning maintenance is on the pool, its not working. I joined in Oct 2025 and there hasn't been a Monday w/o mold yet. I own a pool myself and realize it is constant maintenance, but overnight that pool needs to be shocked, especially after a weekend. Then we have a patron that swims no less that 4 hours, so that is a lane no one else can use for a long duration of time. If people are waiting on a lane one person should not be permitted to swim most of the day. Everyone is trying to squeeze into 11am-2pm timeframe between morning classes and evening swim team. I surveyed Health Unlimited in Mt Airy initially, they require pool patrons to sign up for a lane, that way you aren't arriving and waiting or not getting to swim. Thursdays are the best days as there are no morning pool classes, thus everyone isn't trying to squeeze into a few hours. Currently unless something changes with the pool I won't be renewing my membership in October and I am sad about that as I really do want to come and swim.
