They allow bullies to stay on the Women's Volleyball league and A-level competitive players to play against less-experienced players (B/BB, C, D-levels) in 1 co-rec league. It causes alot of court/game problems regarding positions and cohesiveness to play together safely. I was on the Winter/January 2024 VB league and experienced negative incidents from female players. As a long-standing BB/B level VB player, I bring my positive attitude in playing with teams and mates but many players don't share the same standards. I was born legally 65% deaf and my disability often confuses people since I can't engage in normal conversation, often mistakenly read as being anti-social. Everyone in leagues I play on are alerted about my hearing disability. 1/29/2024: teammate Donna (same team Spike-N-Spice, captain Brandy Valentine) cowardly pushed/jabbed my back from behind during a game. I was caught off-guard considering she and I have never had problems, but I sensed anomisity from her the beginning. No avail as to why. Recollecting myself, I ignored her cowardly aggresssiveness and continued playing with proper sportmanship. She never explained to me why she pushed me nor did I ask her and I couldn't trust her anymore. Captain Brandy chose to not act upon this assault, and I took myself off the team. I emailed Dundee Township managment providing full incident details. Tammy Greco, Superintendent of Rec, contacted me back only saying general words of "Thank you for sharing your feelings, it's been addressed." There were no resolutions given to me as to the outcome of Donna's bad behavior. This incident wasn't based on "feelings", it was based on a physical assault per videotapes. Since the township choose to not act, I don't feel safe to continue coming here, assured that behavior like this won't be allowed.

Cardio tennis programs are fun too. The upstairs fitness areas have plenty of cardio options, and there is an indoor tracks around the exterior if you want to walk or run on the floor. There are several varieties of weight lifting machines and a large free weight area. Bonus space behind the free weights is open floor so ace and specialized machines for strength. There are always fitness trainers giving people a lesson or orientation so it's friendly to all levels of fitness. Saunas and pool are a bonus.

After emailing someone for help they told me I was charged $60 for a yearly enhancement fee. I absolutely positively was not verbally told about that fee at sign up. I would have never signed up if that was the case. Hiding that in a contract is absolutely insane. When I asked for my contract they told me I need to call my club to get that. I call the club and a dude tells me he would be happy to send me my contract. But he ultimately put me on hold for several minutes until a rude man answered. New guy scoffed and made me explain the entire situation AGAIN. He begrudgingly agrees to send me the contract. When I asked when I will receive the email he says "I don't know. I hope right away but you never know. Ciao." It's a loop of corporate saying call your gym for agreement and gym refusing to give it to you. After getting zero help from crystal lake I got an email from corporate saying "Your account has been set to cancel with nothing further due. You will have club access until 5/14/2026. I apologize but we are unable to waive any scheduled payments." Well guess what as of 4/28/26 I have a NEW $64 charge. Per email "We have received your email. Upon review, the $64.99 charge consists of a late fee dated 02/22/2026 and your monthly due of $34.99 from 04/15/2026." I had canceled my credit card and was in the process of moving my subscriptions to new card. This company is a scam and I am hopeful to be a part of a massive lawsuit one of these days. You can't get away with such predatory behavior forever. Karma will eventually catch up.

I know these seem like really trivial things but I have been to tons of group classes at multiple gyms and different locations and music can really be a deciding factor. The bathrooms were also pretty great, they had lots of things in there in case you forget something like hair ties, spray deodorant, dry shampoo, and etc. Little details like that I really appreciate. Back when I first took my first free class they go over everything with you, they didn't do the crazy aggressive sales pitch which I REALLY appreciate. I mean I was here because I was interested, I hate being SOLD to, as do most millennials. I was originally going to only buy a 20 pack of sessions for the year but I had such a great experience that I decided to get the 4 per month subscription and then loved it so much that that I now have the unlimited classes option. I have now been a member now since 2018 and I can't imagine ever leaving! I am over 700 classes in at this point and have made some of the greatest friends while attending. Make sure you take advantage of their lift classes too if you join, they are amazing and really helped to change my body composition. All of the coaches are amazing, The head coach Nicole is just the best and has been so motivating for me. Franki, Josh & Marco also coach and do such a wonderful job. They literally don't have a single bad coach!

I know that if I'm dragging, someone will help pick me up. The workouts are challenging and can be modified based on fitness level, motivation that day, or physical limitations. When my daughter and grandkids (teenagers) come to town, we always go to CKF for a challenging family workout. They keep coming back because CKF never disappoints.
