Ordered from snapkitchen.com, order didn't arrive at scheduled time then got text that my delivery was canceled, tried calling Skillman store, auto attendant answered saying my call's important, on hold for quite a while then disconnected, called 3 times with same result, then called Uptown location, very nice person answered, she called Skillman location after telling me Skillman's phone's broken, she shared that orders that don't have a tip just sit there & aren't delivered, app doesn't even have a way to add a tip so that was really annoying, a tip should be done AFTER service is provided not before!! Food's great & convenient, I've been a long time Factor Meals customer but my family didn't care for the seasoning so I've ordered from Snap Kitchen 3 times, 1st 2 times process was great but this past delivery took up a great deal of my time and was frustrating when it shouldn't be, won't continue ordering if this continues to happen, hoping it was a one off situation because we do enjoy the food. read more

It's been awhile since I've been by here; and picked up my favorite, Bison Quinoa Bowl and one I hadn't tried, the Tandoori chicken bowl with rice. First, the Bison bowl had hardly any cheese on it at all and it was terribly bland, not at all as good as I've had before. No flavor at all. I tried the Tandoori chicken bowl and it seemed a bit old, not terribly fresh, dry chicken with little chunks of gristle that made me gag a bit. The onions were slimy and the rice also dry and not fresh. I made a point to look at the dates on each bowl, even dig around to find one with the best date, but all were the same; not expired but certainly looked and tasted like they had been around for awhile or not properly refrigerated at some point. Spoiled food basically. I used to love that location but, on a lighter note, I've had Snap kitchen meals from the local Whole Foods, a few months ago and they were good, fresh, obviously better refrigerated there than at the Snap with the open display that is definitely not cool enough to keep the food fresh. They should rethink how the food is kept at a proper temperature. It's obviously not working as it is now. :/ read more

First time checking this place out , after much noise and driving past this place on multiple occasions. I must say that the Cacio e Pepe with Rosemary Chicken was so good wow! You walk in and it's like the refrigerated section of a grocery store and along the shelves are premise meals that have a price and the contents listed on the container. Prices are more so on the moderate to high end unless you are buying in small amounts. One meal is actually very filling and the meals are very healthy and nutritious. They also have breakfast which appeared to be cheaper. The also have microwaves inside the restaurant if you would like to eat there. Meh, the macros suck. The only good is the ease of it. Their "Low carb" and "low fat" options are silly high.

I went in to look at some meals and was disgusted. Most meals had terrible protein to calorie ratios. The salads though, it's a straight up scam. There is not enough chicken in there to provide the amount of protein they are putting on the label. Sadly this is too common. Some scammers realize they can prey on people who want to be healthy and lie to cheat them out of their money. My husband and I have been loyal Snap Kitchen customers since the company has been in business. Today we ordered 8 meals for each of us, intended to last the entire week. Everything Snap sent us expires today or tomorrow. That's 200 dollars worth of food, 150+ of which we'll have to throw away tomorrow. Inexcusable. Two stars is a very generous rating. Pesto chicken pasta was pretty much sludge. The chicken Was dry, rubbery, poor flavor profile. Cauliflower tasted like newspaper. I used to order from Snap Kitchen years ago back in 2014. They had great food! There was a lot of food then that was extremely popular. They would start changing their menu and removing the popular items they had and never bring them back. Their food increasingly got more spicy which became an issue for me. They had such an amazing selection its been a shame watching them slowly die out. I was curious about their menu today see if there's much for me to eat. Unfortunately they have changed their website where you can't specify what to avoid which makes it impossible to order without looking at all of the ingredients. I first started using snaps meal service a year or two ago, they closed all the locations only leaving Skillman open. The food used to be fresh and good. The last several months things have been spoiled, chewy, I had a full chicken bone (chocking hazard) in one of my meals. You order for the full week and they give me items that expire in two full days. I have reached out to customer service and the store plenty of times and they apologize and say they will change but that never is the case. Several of the employees especially the one that works nights on Sunday is so rude he doesn't care if he gave you a expired meal or not. I canceled my meal plan with them. Let me start by saying that I wanted to hate this place. I am anti-health food and generally prefer to cook myself. When I saw it going up at the end of my neighborhood I thought "gross!! put a church's chicken!" But, I got a $10 card in the mail and thought "eh why not, free food" the guys working there were SUPER nice. I don't think I am the expected clientele but they were still friendly and upbeat at 8am. The food is good! It's not mind-blowing but it is tasty and low-cal. I thought for the calories it would be disgusting or make me hungrier but the food was satisfying and tasted yummy- lots of flavor and spice. Now, the price. It is a little pricey for the amount of food, but when you consider how healthy it is and also that other fast food is not that "cheap" any more (last time I went to popeyes I spent $8, last time I went to McDonald's I spent $9) it is actually a steal. Plus, how much do you spend on prepared food at Central Market or Whole Foods without knowing the calories or ingredients really? A lean cuisine is like $4 and is half the food, so why not get a full fresh dish of better food at a convenient place for $7-$10? And you get a tupperware piece out of it. So, as someone who is cheap and hates healthy food, I still give this place 5 stars because it's a pretty good deal for no-thought healthy food and the workers there are cool. One visit and I'm a fan. Clean new store with very friendly service. The price point is high without a doubt but to get high quality you have to spend a little more. This food is non GMO and they attempt to source locally. But let's get to the important part: how does it taste? My large chimichurri chicken was delicious. The chicken breast slices were actually juicy: a miracle with chicken breast! The roasted carrots tasted sweet and were mixed with some sautéed mushrooms. All of this rested on a bed of garlic spiked spinach. The chimichurri sauce had a lot of flavor and mixed in some moderate heat which I liked. Very nice meal and I loaded up on some veggies which always makes me feel good about myself. The flavors in this dish were well constructed and I'm looking forward to trying more selections. I've been eating here on and off for a few months. Some weeks I've bought food in advance for the whole week. Other times, I've stopped by early in the morning to pick up lunch for the day. Either way, no matter when I've stopped staff has been friendly and they've had a good selection of items. The prices can seem a little steep, but I feel like the quality of the food and the size of the portions and you can reuse the container it totally seems worth it. I've been recently trying to transition to gluten free and this place has been so helpful. Getting a quick lunch isn't a struggle if I have this place. The one thing I don't really reap the benefits of is the frequent buyer card they scan each time you buy. You're supposed to get some kind of minimal discount if you spend a ton of money. I think unless you're buying the majority of your meals there you probably won't hit that reward anytime soon. So I don't find it incentivizing. Lastly, I'll leave with a list of things I've enjoyed and stuff I'd never get again: The Yummy Stuff: The bison hash Beef and chimichurri Spaghetti w/ Turkey Bolognese (my fave) Lemon garlic hummus Brown rice macaroni with butternut squash and goat cheese salads Ehh: The lamb lasagna (the texture and taste were weird) Naked chicken Coconut shrimp (the batch I got was super salty) Chia breakfast pudding (hated the texture) Ultimately, good stuff and I'll keep coming back. read more

I ventured out to Snap Kitchen because they had very conveniently sent me a $10 coupon to try them out. It also helps that they're just down the street from me. I walked on in and there was one rep there who was super informative. I had no idea what I was looking at and he was able to walk me through their meal options, what icons to look for if I wanted something to be dairy free, gluten free, etc. I ended up getting the Almon'ccino and the chicken and sesame chopped salad. Thanks to the coupon, this was super duper affordable (insanely so). I wasn't too fond of the Almon'ccino because of how chunky it is. At first, I was coughing up coffee and almond bits so proceed with caution. The salad was delicious. I ended up adding in a good amount of Sriracha because I'm Korean and want my mouth to burn. It was definitely tasty and the portion was perfect. They have such a vast selection of food to choose from and they're all packaged wonderfully. Despite not being enticed by a coupon, I'll definitely be back. But I won't complain if more coupons are sent my way. I encourage this. read more

Delicious, prepared meals in reusable containers that are actually healthy! The nutrition information is listed right on the label and doesn't include obscene amounts of sodium or saturated fat like so many other prepared meals (I.e., Central Market, Stouffer's, etc.) I love to cook but don't always have time to make every single lunch and dinner throughout the week. Small ready- made meals that can be microwaved in the container and eaten there or taken home. Portions are small and prices are high, but you know what you're getting: no white flour, gluten free, etc, everything is clearly color coded. See the chart on the wall.
