Warning: more expensive than Taco Bell. And yes, the tacos are also more expensive than at the handful of tex-mex restaurants in a 5-minute radius. But even though a couple of the tex-mex places have added "street tacos" to their menu, none have the authentic tacos that match Snap's. Summary: excellent tacos, and worth the money if you _want_ good tacos. What makes Snap tacos so good? For each street taco, you get two handmade soft corn tortillas filled with your choice of a wide selection of meat, topped with cilantro and onion. Plus, generous lime wedges and excellent salsa on the side. Wait, no guac from a vat? Sour cream from a vat? Lettuce from a bag? Yellow-colored cheese from a bag? Flavorless, under-ripe tomato cubes from a bag? Nope, that's all tex-mex. I think Snap may have some of that stuff, but I'll pass. When the meat and tortillas are so good, you don't need to drown it in viscous slop. Compared to another legit taco place (30 minutes away), Snap is a little more expensive and has a wider selection of meats. The other place gives you radish slices with tacos, which I prefer to the cucumber slices from Snap. From a marketing standpoint, they should probably put their tacos at $4.50 rather than $4.99 - that way you can get two tacos for under $10. And two is enough for a full-grown adult. That doesn't stop me from eating a third, but I don't need it. So sad that it burned down before I got to try it the first time. And so glad that they rebuilt! Notes to self: -Campechano (multiple meat) - great, super rich, came with a cheese sauce -Ranchero de Pollo (Chicken Ranchero) - chicken tossed with red sauce; didn't strike me as having been marinated, but it was still good -Huevos con chorizo (Chorizo & eggs) - can't go wrong, and they didn't -Cabeza (beef head)- never tried it before; tastes like roast beef -Al pastor (grilled pork)- slightly dry, but good; need to try again -Camaron asado (grilled shrimp)- the shrimp themselves were nothing special, but they taste great wrapped up in the taco with spicy salsa read more

Disappointed might be the best word to use. Prices are high IMO. Serving size was ok. Food was ok. The corn appetizer was very good and I do recommend that. My daughter found some sort of metal, maybe from a brush to clean a cooking surface. A little thicker then aluminum foil. Not sure what it was. I took it up to the counter told them we found it in the chicken. She turned to one of the gentleman making the meals and that was the end of it. No apology or offer to refund for the item it was found in. I was just very disappointed that they didn't really seem to care. Not sure we will give them another shot. read more

I just tried Snap Taco for the first time tonight and it will definitely not be the last. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and they were the best fish tacos I've tried anywhere around by far! Definitely give Snap Taco a try. When I first was looking over the menu it seemed a bit pricey for tacos but the quality of the meat and freshness of the ingredients made me forget about my wallet real fast. Not gonna lie this place is better than los carnival market in Pontiac. (More expensive but better). Wife and I had beef nacho which was loaded with ingredients and split 3 tacos. So bummed they switched the program to table service! I have reviewed this place positively before. The addition of the bar and the table service turned it into an over priced poorly served average Texmex joint. We came in during lunch which used to be relatively busy. We were the only ones. The servers played on their phones with empty waters and dirty plates. The food is still the same. It was expensive before but you got some decently authentic Mexican and got out of there in 30 minutes. Our tab for two adults and two kids at lunch was $58 with all water drinkers. Fine before, I carried my own food knew it was over priced but was happy to pay for it as it wasn't over cheesed and Americanized. The food is the same and it's still good. Unfortunately, the changes they made to their service will be the down fall to this place. Who wants to go to an average decor poorly served, Mexican joint for a $100 bill with cocktails? Super fresh, excellent flavors - nothing bland here! The chips and salsa are very fresh, the salsa is the yummy thin kind that goes great on everything. We have had a variety of dishes and have never been disappointed. Tacos, Flautas, Taquitos, Burritos, Nachos, Quesadilla, and the churros. (Not all in one setting. Lol) The staff is incredibly kind and very happy, something that's hard to come by nowadays. They changed their setup from a counter service to seated dining, so we can't watch them make it anymore but it's still just as good! Very clean and fun atmosphere. Great music. read more

I'd love for them to make some minor improvements before my next visit because I'm truly all about having them stick around. My first reaction was the price though. I got 2 tacos and a tostada. $18 Each item could be a dollar less and I'd be fine. They could cut down on the meat weight to make it happen because these were stuffed to the max. Guac was good. Hot salsa was good but honestly is only medium heat. Shredded chicken was good. Shredded beef was ok but the steak was not seasoned AT ALL. When I got to my tostada, I was trying to figure out how to eat it with the plastic ware Overall it was good and I'm full. That price point is going to have to come down though or they will miss out on a lot more repeat customer sales. I can't imagine what a family might have to pay for a meal. Meh, huge portions, but for "fast food" I felt the $44 price tag was steep. My nachos supreme was huge but the flavor was so bland, very one note, needed salt and spice or something, my husband had the steak tacos and he got an upset stomach as soon as he finished eating, my son's chicken tenders weren't very good, tasted like there was a layer of fat under the breading, I just wasn't impressed with the flavor, I don't plan on returning, however the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean, including the bathroom. read more

Interesting --went there when first opened and thought pricey for casual place. With sagebrush and Rio down the street (which somebody said Rio owns this)---we thought why wouldn't we just go there. However, we returned. They changed it a bit in the inside so u can sit in various spots. The food is hot and plenty of it. You can get Margaritas to "go"---and we will hit it again. read more
