This is such a great store. They have a great variety of unique toys and books--you can find something for every kid here. The layout of the store is fantastic; it's well-organized and you can easily find items based on the child's interests/hobbies. The staff have always been very welcoming and helpful by answering questions/pointing me in the direction of some great items. We have also never felt pressured to make a purchase, and they have never made me feel bad about having two young kids running throughout the store touching everything and carrying stuffed animals with them that they don't intend on purchasing! We always have a positive experience when we come here. read more

I didn't like the service here. It felt extremely phony and the male store owner likes to lurk around everyone and make them uncomfortable. I'm not sure why. It's all very odd. I brought in my young cousin and we just felt really unwelcome the whole time. I wanted to support a small business, but you're better off going to Target or Fred Meyer. Also, reading what happened to Terri and her family in a past review absolutely makes me horrified. I hope they reached out to make things better, but something tells me they absolutely did not. I called and was helped by one very pleasant employee and then when it came time to place my order and get it shipped I spoke to Roland and he was also super helpful! Top Ten Toys in Greenwood was our family's favorite local toy store for 10+ years. My kids loved the gift-wrap and decoration station. They would have had a 5 Star Rating originally for sure. However, after the transition to Snapdoodle Toys and Games, it unfortunately has gone downhill in the past 2 years. The staff are less friendly, and are more distant and aloof. When seeing other families looking for gifts, I have actually been the one who would first recommend toy and game options INSTEAD OF THE STAFF! The final nail in the coffin was getting a parking fee during the recent Holiday Season. The store's parking area is run by a independent 3rd party company. This parking lot company takes advantage of the volume of customers, and hires a spotter to stand outside and scope out victims. Even after showing the receipt from my purchase to the parking attendant, he refused to cancel the fee. He said I could dispute it in writing, but you'll likely still have to pay a portion -- or else they will send it to collections. I spoke to the the Snapdoodle store manager, who apologized but said the store can't do anything. I left mentioning that the least the store could do is warn customers about the parking lot attendants. Especially when there is a wait to enter the store due to capacity restrictions. When prices are cheaper online for most toy and game items, a caring helpful environment is what brings us in-store. Sadly, I will now choose to support other local toy and game stores that can still do so. read more

In preparing for summer, we researched slack line and Ninja course items online. We found an amazing treehouse that installs using slack lines but it wasn't available online from various vendors. So when we went to Snapdoodle Toys for haircuts we were thrilled to see the exact product we wanted there! It had just arrived at the store and the staff helped us get one sent from the warehouse to the store in less than 1 hour. When we needed some advice on the installation the store manager, Roland, helped us sort through our issue. We couldn't be more thrilled for we love all the toys and the staff here! read more

When the store was purchased and became Snapdoodle, they lost all there positive Yelp reviews - too bad. This is a great store. You can ask an associate for children's gift suggestions, like 9-year old girl into science and princesses and they will provide excellent suggestions. We NEED a brick and mortar toy store in Greenwood. Friendly tip - it is busy on the weekends with all the kids parties so you are likely to have a better experience weekdays or when they first open. Stopped by today to find that Snapdoodle has moved to online-only due to the COVID outbreak in Seattle. While I was there, I ran into the owner out front and exchanged a few words - he was extremely kind and provided excellent customer service. He was helpful and a very generous person. During this hard time, I'll be sure to order puzzles and games from him online - and I encourage everyone else to do the same! Spent $99 on a set that was missing the instructions and stickers and called them to be told they didn't do returns with opened Lego and I'd need to contact the manufacturer directly. It wouldn't have been impossible or a hardship for them to stay open 5 more minutes so I could come exchange the box, but they were more interested in being done for the day. They also said a returned box would have to be put on the discount shelf, so I guess I'm the one who gets to pay full price and take the hit for a set missing instructions and who know what else. In the future, I'll skip the Snapdoodle middleman and buy from the manufacturer, since I'm going to need to reach out to them to get missing parts. This store doesn't measure up to the neighborhood - friendly store it replaced. I won't be shopping there again, and encourage you to consider whether you want to spend money at a store that really doesn't care if you get what you paid for. read more

During these Covid times, my young children wear masks and they social distance as much as possible. That being said, I was surprised when my daughter was grabbed, hit, hit in the face, held down and pushed off a toy by someone else's child. Shopping at this store isn't safe!!!! At a recent visit to the Seattle location on Greenwood, my 2 year old daughter found interest in a bouncy horse. Out of no where, this kid starts yelling at her from a distance and then speeds up to knock her off the horse saying that it was his, being very possessive over the store's toy. Not only did he knock her to the ground, he then held her in a choke hold with his arms and legs and held her down so she couldn't get up. It all happened so quickly and suddenly. I waited for the father to intervene and help, but it never came. I had to peel his son off my daughter so that she could get free. The father definitely didn't feel the need to act in a helpful way so I asked staff to ask them to leave the store because of the situation. This was definitely more than kids being kids. He was an older child who was overly aggressive and violent. There is such trauma from our experience!!!! I've shopped at this location since when it was Top Ten and then changed ownership and I'm completely disappointed and dissatisfied with the situation. I asked staff to ask him to leave and they brushed me off, saying that he's now in line and once he has paid then he'll leave the store. In my book, there's never a situation where violence is okay. There's especially never a situation where you should side with the person who has caused harm. Just another day right? A white male and his son causes physical and mental harm to a woman of color and her daughter(s). The white staff allows for the privileged man to continue shopping and to pay for his items. The family of color leaves the store empty handed (no birthday present) because they've just been through an ordeal that staffers condone. read more
