    Mango Nut Grouper $52
    Lauren S.

This has been our anniversary spot for years now but this last time didn't hit the same. We started off with the portobello Oscar which was light on crab and not worth $18. I was expecting lump crab but it was shredded with a lot of veg mixed in. We both got the mango Nut Grouper ($52 each) which has always been our favorite, but tonight it seemed not as special. I remember the crust being nuttier and the fish more flavorful. The fish seemed a little dry and may have been a little overcooked. The mango burre blanc sauce itself, is delicious and I'd happily eat it on a stick if they offered it. Though we agreed $52 seemed overpriced, especially because the grouper didn't seem as fresh tonight. For dessert we shared the key lime tower which we both really enjoyed. It was rich key lime custard between buttery lace cookies (like thin nut crisps).

The service was impeccable and the grouper was so good! I was a little off a skeptic at first because when you walk in it's dark and dingy bar, but when you walk into the restaurant it's a very different vibe. The ahi appetizer was good, but the grouper was worth the visit! Go get it!

We stopped in last minute for Christmas Eve. The staff was fantastic at finding room for us. The wait staff was great, very friendly. The food was amazing, fresh, and reasonably fast to our table. It was a great experience and worth a visit.

We ordered early dinner panko crusted dinner and pork chops, with 2 kids meals, I am sad to say that the kids meals were the best part of the meal! Broccoli tasted fishy, pork chop was charburned, one good thing is our waitress was amazing!!!

Food was decent enough I suppose. The hosts were very friendly but our server was rude. We had to get gluten free since we are celiac, I ordered the gluten free chicken Alfredo which was again decent but not really worth the $26 I paid for it. My fiancé ordered the shrimp skewers again nothing to run home about. Probably won't be back. We both got drinks, his was awful. Watered down and horrible. My was good-ish. Again for the price we're paying or anyone is for that matter the food, drinks and service did not align.

The food is delicious but we really enjoy the exceptional varieties of martinis. Service is top tier.

Excellent bar service from Dave! Very attentive but not overbearing. Mussels were delicious as was the homemade bread. I had the vegetarian pasta and my husband had the steak. He said it was one of the best he's had and he knows his steak!! We arrived on the early side as we had not eaten since breakfast and what a treat to see so many other diners enjoying the bar vibe. We also were told by Dave that many items and drinks were discounted because of their early bird special pricing! We wishee'd discovered this restaurant at the beginning of our vacation instead of our last night on Treasure Island. Parking free and plentiful!

Snappers was packed at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. However, as it was late July, we were able to get a table outside right away. There are fans to help with the heat, and it's well ventilated so there was a nice breeze. Our server was prompt and friendly. The menu was seafood with an Asian flair. We started with the crab stuffed portobello (probably the weakest part of the meal) and delicious coconut shrimp. After that, our entrees came with salads, which were also great (tortilla chips and a zesty dressing made it more fun than your usual house salad, but it didn't feel too decadent). I got the snapper, which was served over coconut rice and with a delicious curry sauce and mango chutney. The curry reminded me more of thinner Japanese curry versus Indian or Thai, which I loved. The snapper itself was a nicely-sized piece and was cooked/seasoned perfectly with a hint of spice. The coconut sticky rice was so addictive!! The sweetness of the mango chutney just made each bite a wonderful flavor explosion. I would 100% recommend this dish. My husband got the coconut cashew crusted mahi, which was also excellent (and another huge portion of fish). It seems like you can't go wrong here with a fish dish!

This is the kind of place that feels like it's been around forever, in the best way. Spacious for the area, lively without being chaotic, and backed by attentive service that keeps things moving even when it's busy. The menu is extensive, and then just when you think you've seen it all, there's a specials board tucked away with even more to choose from. If you can time your visit right, Tuesday is the move. They run a buy one pound, get one pound half off deal on snow crab legs, and it's easily one of the best values around. The snow crab legs are fresh and satisfying, and the Dungeness crab holds its own as well. Both pair perfectly with their rich, drawn butter, simple but done right. Portion sizes here are no joke. The shrimp skewers are almost excessive in the best way. Three skewers loaded with roughly eight shrimp each, so you're looking at around two dozen shrimp total, all a solid medium-large size. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause when it hits the table. The shrimp pasta is another standout and clearly a house favorite. It's packed with flavor and easily one of the more memorable dishes on the menu. Good enough that ordering a second one to-go actually makes sense. The clam chowder, though, was the one miss. While it's loaded with plenty of clam meat and has a hearty base, there's a slightly smoky flavor that throws it off. If you're a chowder fan, it might not hit the mark. Probably something to skip next time. As for the crab cakes, they passed a pretty tough test. A Maryland native at the table gave them a strong approval, which says a lot. Pro tip: Get there early, ideally around lunch, if you want to lock in that snow crab deal. It's popular, and you don't want to risk missing out. Overall, this is a reliable, crowd-pleasing seafood spot that leans into big portions, solid execution, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Whether you're a local or just visiting St. Pete Beach, it's an easy recommendation and definitely worth a return trip.

Although the restaurant has beautiful waterfront seating, we chose to sit inside since it was very hot outside. We started with the Louisiana Seafood Gumbo (bowl, $13.97), which was delicious. The Chicken Wings ($13.89 for 6 pieces) were outstanding and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. They were definitely my favorite dish of the meal. We also tried the Shrimp-N-Grits ($27.97), which was a unique combination of Argentine red shrimp, creamy cheese grits, sausage, tomatoes, scallions, and other ingredients. It was flavorful and different from anything we've had before. The Jambalaya ($21.93) was just okay. It had plenty of ingredients, but it was a little too salty for my taste. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant also has a full bar and, I believe, live music in the evenings, making it a great place to relax. They had a fresh catch of grouper that day, so we decided to try the grouper nuggets. They're market price, but absolutely worth it. Even our friend preferred them over his fried fish. Just a heads-up: they use a nacho cheese sauce rather than shredded cheese, which some people may prefer to know ahead of time. Our friend from Massachusetts ordered the lobster sub (also market price) and said it was worth every penny. My husband and I split the grouper nuggets and the Philly cheesesteak. The bread is brought in from up north, and our server's recommendation did not disappoint. The sandwich was rich, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the onion rings. They use a beer batter, which wasn't our favorite, but that's more of a personal preference than a criticism. Overall, we'd definitely return if we're in the area again. The appetizers all sounded amazing and we were told the steak carpaccio was a must have. We started with that, the scallops and the crab cake. Everyone in our party (we had some college kids) were trying carpaccio and crab cakes for the first time and all absolutely loved them. Everything was seared, cooked or presented to perfection. Course two we split a few Cesar salads; nice chilled bowls and fair portions to share amongst the table. I know a Cesar seems boring, but a perfectly dressed and cold salad is such a nice lead in to a hot steak. We did a few sliced filets for the table with the Mac n cheese, pasta w/princess sauce and Brussel sprouts. We had a 7 PM reservation, but got there about 30 mins early and the hostess was able to seat us immediately. Turns out the hostess was also our server and she immediately grabbed us waters and drinks. She was such a pleasure and both her and what I assume was either the manager or the owner both stopped by several times throughout the meal to touch base. We started with the drunken shrimp appetizer and a half a dozen oysters. The shrimp appetizer tasted great. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful. We wished it came with more than two small crostinis for 6 shrimp, but we solved that problem by using the complimentary dinner rolls to sop up the rest of the sauce. The oysters are shucked fresh to order, but let me tell you they were some of the biggest freshest oysters we've enjoyed since moving to Florida 10 years ago. For dinner, I got the wild caught salmon with wild rice and broccolini and my husband ordered the fish special of blackened swordfish over beet risotto with a vegetable medley. Both were amazing and we cleaned our plates. We finished with a key lime pie and a lemon raspberry cheesecake which our server informed us were homemade daily by a sweet old lady named Glenna who owns her own local bakery. In fact, we learned the restaurant even sources all of their fish caught fresh by a local fisherman. We thought that was so cool because we love supporting our local St Pete businesses.
