I found Snappy Nail Spa by accident and it has now turned into my new nail salon (sorry Sophie's). It is on Federal right next to the Pet Supermarket. I mention this because from the outside it is easy to pass right by it but as soon as you walk in it's a beautiful spa. If you get your nails done regularly you know how hard it is to find a great salon and nail tech. My regular place was always booked up and if I wanted my nail tech, I needed to book almost 4 weeks in advance just to get an appointment, which is crazy!! I was searching for a place close to home and stumbled onto SNS. I made my appointment on a Friday for Saturday and I had no trouble!! Awesome Start! When I arrived for my Mani/Pedi the receptionist handed me 4 rings of colors to choose from!! I couldn't believe it! My other salon maybe had enough colors to fill one ring but not 4, that's for sure! Definitely go in there with a color in mind because it gets to be really hard to choose when you have so many in front of you, LOL. They set me up with Donna who is now the only nail tech I use. She does an incredible job on your nails and I get a Gel Manicure each time. I used to ALWAYS get chips on the tips of my nails from typing and other things and ever since Donna has been doing my nails they NEVER chip! I always get compliments from people including strangers on what a great manicure she does, ask for Donna if you go. BONUS First of all they will offer you tea, water, soda or even WINE when you sit with your tech (if they forget which is rare just ask) and it's FREE!!! I had no clue and my first time there I was like "YES, I would love some wine" lol! The prices were actually much cheaper than my old West Boca location. Gel Manicure is $25 and the Pedicure is $22. Not bad, plus free drinks haha! Also worth mentioning and it's actually one of my favorite aspects of this place is they use disposable plastic liners in the pedicure tubs. This way you don't have to worry about sharing germs when you get a pedicure because the liner is brand new each time. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I've been coming here for about a year and to the same technician. I routinely get gel manicures so naturally I worry that my nails are becoming weaker. I politely asked the tech to lightly buff my nails because of my concern and she did just that. Three weeks later I made an appointment with the same technician. I drove for 30 minutes and when I arrived the nail tech refused to work on me. Nobody called to tell me my appointment had been cancelled. I was told because of what happened last time I must work with someone else. I was extremely baffled by this because we always get along so great, I always tell her what an amazing job she did, and I give her a very generous tip. After 20 minutes of this I was told she was offended because I asked her to lightly buff my nails last time. This caused quite the scene. After much distress and pleading I was finally able to be seen. After I left I felt embarrassed, humiliated, and ostracized. A simple mani/pedi that was supposed to be a happy and calming experience was anything but. The technician is rude and very controlling. You are not allowed to ask any questions or concerns about your own nails or else... I will never return to this salon unless this technician is no longer working there. read more

Manicure & buffing @ $12 cannot be beat; Kim my manicurist, was one of the most proficient I've ever had the pleasure to sit across from. I have been going here for years but I am not the person that goes every week or two so I don't know the techs by name. It seems that the last few times I've gone I had an inexperienced technician. I felt like a 5 year old could have done a better job polishing my nails. It really has been hit or miss lately....mostly miss. Love Snappy and here is why: 1. Clean. They have a plastic liner they change for every customer, and all tools sanitized. Everything is very neat and super clean. 2. Everyone I've encountered has been super nice!!! And they're good! 3. Deluxe pedi with wax... on point. HAPPY FEET! 4. They're not pushy about their other services, which I appreciate. They don't make me feel like my eyebrows are horrible to get me to do a wax like I've been harassed at other places. 5. Contrary to some other comments on here, THEY SPEAK ENGLISH. I mean, yeah it might not be their first language, but to date haven't met anyone who didn't speak english. And, seriously, who cares if someone has an accent? Kudos to them for learning english, damnit! Tip: There is a Starbucks drive-thru accross the street. I always go with my caramel macchiatto, crank that massage chair, and have my awesome Deluxe Spa and gel manis. BLISS. read more

I had a very strange experience here. Upon entering, there were some customers that were arguing with the receptionist about what services they were requesting. It was just an extremely awkward moment, and to make it even more awkward the receptionist said absolutely nothing to me as I stood there for a couple of minutes. I had to engage her in order to get my appointment started. So I sat down and started to get my manicure, my technician was nice. I noticed other people being asked if they wanted something to drink, but they never asked me. It was a bit annoying that she kept asking me if I wanted other services like getting my eyebrows waxed or getting a pedicure or getting my toe nails painted. So when it's time for her to paint my gels, 3 ladies come around me and start hovering over me and talking in a foreign language. I have no clue what's going on but then they say that the receptionist is going to paint my nails. Of course, I say okay - no problem. But a couple of the ladies keep hovering around me. I mean, I don't find manicures to be that relaxing but to hover around and make it even less relaxing for me is just weird. Then when she was messaging my hands, she used so much oil that I had to go in the back and wash my hands and arms. I will say that my nails are holding up well, and the price was good ($25 for gels). But this was just a weird experience that I don't want to have again. read more

Walked into this Nail Spa because I was tired of the unprofessional treatment in other such establishments. What a happy surprise. Snappy Nails is CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL, QUIET and if you make an appointment you do not wait around for HOURS and on top of it you will get the requested nail tech !!!! EVERYONE speaks ENGLISH......WOW! Also the Nail Techs will not talk constantly among each other in "A" language you do not understand and feel ignored. The decor is beautiful and tasteful with classical music in the background not loud sports commentary on the TV. You feel like in a Spa !!!! You get offered refreshments, never had that before in a NAIL SALON! And to end a great experience: my Shellac nails lasted the promised 3 weeks and still looked OK! I loved that I was able to walk in and get taken right away without an appointment. The place was super clean and I felt very comfortable. Prices are reasonable. Parking is not the easiest but I usually tan at south beach 1st anyway so I park in the bank lot and walk over. I'ts perfect when you need a little me time. Also they serve you wine! read more

I've been coming to this salon since April and when I decide I need a "treat yourself" day. My first time, I was getting a French manicure and pedicure for a competition show. The detail was on point, not a single crooked line lay upon my toenails or finger nails. Not to mention, the leg massage was thorough and relaxing. My next visit was my only visit that made me question going back. I received a gel manicure by Sandy, who was quick and wasn't thorough. My mani lasted less than a week, which is far less than my usual of at least two weeks. A couple months later, I decided to give it another try because of my first stellar experience. I went to Kathy this time, who did a beautiful job on my first-ever "cat-claw" acrylics in black matte. After over two weeks, I went back yesterday for a fill-in. I was saddened when Kathy was not in, but Amy filled in my nails with equal precision. My only complaint for the salon is that when they get busy, the techs leave your session to go begin on someone else and another tech or receptionist ends up finishing your nails. Personally, I think the techs should stay with their customers start-to-finish. By the end of it, I never know who to tip! The Best pedicure since I moved to South Florida 5 yrs!. Clean is an understatement at Snappy Nails. The pedi tubs have plastic liners, the chair massage is awesome, complementary wine, water whatever you'd like. the pedicure lasts a good 30 min...That is unheard of elsewhere. Not only do your feet soak, you get knee to ankle salt scrub hot towel leg wrap, eucalyptus (minty) type of gel and a luxurious cream applied to your legs. You get all that and total nail care on the toes and a beautiful polish set. $22 was what I paid on a weekday and it was the best investment ever. I did a Gel Manicure for $25 and they had literally close to a hundred colors to select from for Gel. The ones with a black dot helped you narrow down the gel colors that had non gel (regular) nail polish matches which they promptly found for me. I could not be happier with the service, the professionalism and the overall look of the salon, and the price was unbeatable! Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Very clean place, tools are all sanitized and plastic disposable liners are used in the pedicure tubs. The lady who did my pedicure and manicure was very sweet and polite, and didn't ask me a million questions like a lot of nail techs do (I just prefer not to tell all of my life history). They offer you a drink and you may have wine, beer, water or soda which was very nice to sip as I relaxed in the massage chair. Next time I will for the "deluxe" spa pedi which includes a wax treatment, I would have done so this time but I was in a hurry. Overall this is my new favorite place, and it is also very reasonably priced. I will return soon to get another mani/pedi. I highly recommend this place. read more

I was pleased with my NexGen manicure. It lasted nearly three weeks before starting to lift. The prices seemed to be best in the area. Until the nails came off and I noticed my nail underneath. There was a brownish spot and I had no clue what it was( see attached photo) I asked around and was told that's probably a fungus. You get those from unclean manicures. Go get that checked. Well folks... my friends and family were right. I went to my doctor who took one look said that's exactly what it is. He has now prescribed an anti fungal.... hurray! Now with acrylics I haven't had such good luck here since Kelly left but they're bad for you anyway...lol. They play nice relaxing music, offer water, wine, tea and the techs are quiet and speak English even when talking to each other which is nice. The owners are very nice. I started going to the salon after a recommendation from a friend. I went to the same tech for six weeks a total of 3 appointments. Each time experiencing my nails breaking with regular use. I asked for a different person to do my nails on the 4th appointment... the nail tech convinced me that the nexgen was the best way to go. So that's what I did... After leaving the salon I noticed that every single nail was wavy/not smooth. I returned the following week after expressing my disappointment. I agreed to see the same nail technician... Who understood I was not happy... we had a long conversation and she suggested I go back to acrylic. Once I was finished I was surprised and shocked that I was being charged full price for a complete new set after just doing that one week prior.The technician told me that she needed to be paid for her time and it did not matter that I was yet again leaving the shop dissatisfied. I gave her the opportunity to reconsider... I explained that she would lose me as a customer and asked her if it mattered that I was not happy. The technician totally disregarded my dissatisfaction! In 10 weeks I spent over $450.00 on my nails at that salon... is that not worth trying to make a customer happy... I guess not! Wow. I really wish I could put no stars because my experience here was awful. First off, I come in for next gen and as the nail tech is starting to do my nails she is very rough with the tools, (scrapping and cutting my fingers it was horrifying) then she is putting loads of the next gen powder on my nails resulting in very thick nails (I asked her to make them more thin and she goes over it with one of her tools being more rough and then as a result ends up scratching the nails up)Then in a rush, she finishes to what was a horrible job. I stepped out in the sunlight only to see nail polish all over my fingers on the back on the nail and what makes it worse was glue under neath my nails! I instantly call the manager who tells me to come in so she can take a look and I ask for a refund, as I explain to her what had happened she said she will give me my refund once she is done fixing my nails, I told her that I had no more time to waste because I was in a hurry to get to a meeting, she proceeds to ask me to sit so she can fix it and then she will give me my refund.. some time passes as she fixes my nails and she hands me a $10 gift card to come right back there!! I said to her I need my refund back not a $10 gift card she then said to me that she's being fair by fixing my nails (which shouldn't have been a problem to begin with) and that she's giving me a $10 gift card to come back. I told her that's not what she said and that she said she would be refunding me so then she says she will remove my nails and then refund me.. now again after I told her I had no time because I had a meeting to get to and that I needed my refund she played me into thinking that's what she would do after fixing them.. I wouldn't have cared if she had told me they had to be removed in order to get a refund in the beginning because that's what I would have just done but instead she wasted more of my time by trying to buy herself more business again, she also was very unprofessional telling another customer about me and complain while I was right in front of her.. I come to hear that this place is also very unsanitary which I am even more disgusted by, this place needs to be shut down! read more

i'm furious, 10 years ago when snappy nail opened i'm a frequent customer. the work and the products they use are good. But today I was very upset and that is because the staff who work there change very frequently. Around 4 pm I went with my mother for a normal manicure and pedicure, my mother does not speak English, she is a tourist and my English is equal to or better than what some of her employees speak, the women who did the pedicure did not ask her my mother if she wanted some. extra of the normal pedicure but to me yes and I answered that no thanks that the normal pedicure was fine. The ladies who did the manicure were exactly what we asked for. When I got to the till to pay there were 2 bills of 80 dollars each plus the uncle and I ended up paying 100 dollars for each one. when i got to my car thinking it was a lot of money i went back to the salon and talked to a young man who has worked there for many years. I told him that I do not agree and that it is an abuse I did not ask what the pedicurists did and also wanted them to give me back the typical they did not deserve. He did not answer me anything but I made it clear that I will not return again and they lost a loyal 10-year-old client. read more

The pedicure was amazing and the manicure(dip powder) was done very meticulously and ended up so well. I really don't care if you want to ask me if I had work that day, if you slop on my polish or act like you don't have a color I want just because you don't want to take the time to go get it, you will get a $1 tip, a shit review & I'll never come back. although my nails came out pretty this place is way overpriced and I just my nails done on the 15th and one of my nails are cracked not by my own doing. today the nail snapped right off when I went to scratch my head. that tells me right there the quality of their materials is poor, then I went to get it fixed an they tell me I have to wait an hou. I went earlier to tell the I would be back. unbelievabl, I've given them a couple chances but I'll never go back there. 10.00 for each design and 5 for each toe. unheard of. bad servic. So sad to write this review, but I am doing so in hopes of the owner/manager seeing this. I have been a regular client for a few years now. The past 5 visits I've had here, they have not lived up to my expectation of what they used to be. When I walked over to the nail technicians desk, IT. WAS. DISGUSTING. There were nail clippings and powder, obviously from the person before me getting their nails done. I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt, thinking he would clean it, but......NOPE! He laid a dirty towel over it for me to soak my hands in COLD water. When he went to dry my hand off, there were pieces of nail clippings falling off the towel (not mine!!! I don't get acrylics!!!). I was so appalled by the lack of cleanliness and customer service. I was going to get a pedicure as well, but safely opted out. I wonder how they clean their tools? They used to offer you a beverage and give you a hand massage with your manicure. They don't do this anymore! I am writing this on behalf of my past few experiences, and sadly will not be coming back due to lack of cleanliness and bad customer service. read more
