I have been hearing a lot of hype about this place and finally got the chance to give it a try. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Their menu has a large variety of sandwiches and even an options to choose your sandwich size. The staff was very friendly and made our order very quickly. We decided on the italian sub (their most popular order) and their tuna sub (my favorite sub). The italian sub had so many different slices of meat and honestly tasted a lot better than I thought given that I'm not a fan of italian subs. As for the tuna, there are no words I can use to describe how amazing this sandwich was. The bread was crispy and their hot chilli peppers added so much flavor that paired well with the tuna. I saw that they sold their own jar of chilli peppers, and I was really tempted to buy my own. This place is definitely up to the hype, so the next time you're craving Subway come here instead! read more

I *love* good sandwiches and Snarf's has all the bones of a good sandwich. But I've now given Snarf's three tries. Every single time they have gotten both my and my girlfriend's order wrong. Every single time. Every single item. Today's example: GF ordered a salad and asked for added meat (pastrami, I don't recall.) They charged her for it yet it was not put on the salad. I ordered the Super Club but asked for some slight mods: no cheese, no mayo, no tomato, add mustard, hot pepper and onions. Nope. The only thing done right was no cheese. Common, guys! They warned it up and the sandwich melted in my mouth. The service was exceptional, and Will was welcoming, taking the time to describe several menu items to facilitate my choice. Tasty & HUGE sandwiches, much better than your Subway or Which Wich varieties. I've had the chicken salad and pastrami sandwiches. The chicken salad was much better. The pastrami had barely any meat (just a few slices). The meat that was there was dry and didn't even taste like pastrami. The chicken salad was great though. I think the mayo in the salad gave the sandwich some much-needed moisture. I loved the crunchy oven-toasted bread, as well as the hot peppers. A 7-inch doesn't sound big, but they're so loaded that one sandwich is almost enough for two meals. Service is a little slow, but the employees are friendly, and it's worth the wait. read more

Unfortunately, even watching them make my food they have somehow gotten every order I've ever made wrong. I always have to grab a fork so that I can pick off unwanted things like onions and peppers. But once those are off, the food is tasty! If you're serious about your food, open it at a table to make sure it's right. They will charge you for add ons but not give the add on to you. One of the best sandwich shops I've tried in Austin! The cashier recommended the Italian sub and I wasn't disappointed!! The sandwiches are on the pricey side ($7-$10) without chips or drinks but are pretty tasty! I ordered the 7in and couldn't finish mines...my boyfriend had to help me out with a few stolen bites! They carry a variety of sandwiches: tuna and cheese, chicken salad, meatball Parmesan and other specialty sandwiches well. They are similar to Potbelly with their optional toppings (mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, seasoning and oil) but their sandwiches are a lot larger in size. The potato salad tasted similar to HEB's potato salad...not sure if Snarf's makes theirs in house. The cashier was friendly and helpful, guiding us with recommendations. An off day? The cheese steak was generously filled, but the meat tasted odd and somewhat dry. The Italian was good. But both sandwiches were extremely "over-toasted"--by which I mean, nearly burnt. Amazingly delicious sandwiches at Snarfs. My wife and I dined here during a visit to the Lyndon B Johnson Library visit in TX, and we were very impressed. The steak sandwiches are hearty and loaded with goodness. The sandwiches are stuffed with generous ingredients. We dined on Veterans Day and the staff are very supportive of veterans. My sandwich of choice was the Mother Clucker; I ordered a large and put half of it in the fridge for tomorrow. I was shocked to get such a large sandwich for a reasonable price! I've been trying to find a good sandwich shop around campus ever since my go-to sandwich shop closed down. Snarf's is pretty convenient in terms of being close to campus, but I thought my sandwich was just very average. I got the pastrami sandwich with added avocados and sprouts and a chocolate chip cookie. Even with the added vegetables, I didn't think the contents of my sandwich was that plentiful. That said, just comparing pure size-wise with the length of bread, I do think you get a pretty hefty sandwich for the price, but other than that, I think Snarf's is pretty comparable to any other chain sandwich shop. Chocolate chip cookie also not bad too, but that seems to be the standard at a chain too. read more
