infection from their tools.

I went to Snazzy Nails for a Mother's Day pedicure, they were extremely busy, although i had made an appointment a week before. While the nail tech was painting my nails she got polish on my toe, instead of using polish remover she clipped it off with clippers, now I have an infection in my toe from dirty nail clippers, I went and showed them my foot, and asked for my money back and they said, "Sit down we will fix it for you" I said no I just want my money back, now I have to go to the doctor, she said No, we can't give you your money back sorry about that" Never again would I step into to this nail salon.

Worst place to treat you if you are immigrant. I always tip them so much and went there many many times. But it is very offensive when you go, they leave you in the middle or end of service to serve another customer who they think is more valuable than you. The lady left my nails unclean, nails are burning me and walked away for to serve another customer who she value more. Very disrespectful very offensive and not fair to be treated that way. I have reported their racism to the consumer department.

I took my daughter here to get her nails done for her birthday and it was a wonderful experience. An was so kind and did such an amazing job on my daughter's nails! We will definitely request An again!

I've been going to this place forever, even after a I moved deeper into Portland just because of how nice the staff is but about 80% of the time my nails are chipping after a couple days. This was my last straw.. I got my nails done the day before my birthday and this was the next day, it's now been two days and almost all of my nails are chipped at this point.. and on top of that they charge more then most nail salons.. just super disappointed and will not be going back..

Gel manicure.

Okay, updating from my original. It has been four days since my manicure and the shellac is already coming off my nails. What. The. Hell.

I've been getting my nails done in Seattle but I live in Gresham so I don't get to travel to the salon I normally go to on a regular basis. I've been to a couple nail salons in Gresham and the one I found that did a good job was busy yesterday. I took the chance to go up the street from my house and found Kim at Snazzy Nails & Spa. I told her that I wanted a slimmer coffin shape and she did exactly what I had asked for. She cross checked each finger and did a fantastic job! She was warm and engaging. She didn't make me feel rushed when I was picking out my shellac color. They had so many colors to choose from I had a hard time deciding. I've decided that Kim will be my go to nail tech from now on............READ FURTHER... I was here yesterday and got a beautiful set of nails from Kim. I left an amazing review with 5 stars. After writing my review I started looking at nail art online and thought since she did a great job with my set maybe she could do some nail art. I made an appointment came in realized I didn't take the picture I wanted on my phone so we started going looking online and found the design I was looking for. I picked out the colors and upon looking at my set she was confused, she still thought I wanted the original color. I said no I just wanted a new design with new colors. Her body language completely changed and she said I wish I would have known that. I would have taken your color off. She started slamming the polish bottles and sighing like she was just so inconvenienced. I told her that I'm sorry I talked to the lady on the phone and I said I wanted a complete change in what I had. I told her that I loved my nails and color I had just looked at nail art this morning and was inspired to get stripes and solids. She didn't say a word as she was taking off my original polish I could tell she was upset she was twisting my fingers and being inappropriately rough. It was very awkward and I started to get upset because I thought she was so nice yesterday and I thought I found my nail tech. I was willing to pay her and tip her generously. I'm still so confused why she was so upset I wanted to change my polish?? If I didn't like her work I wouldn't have came back. Finally she asked me what base color I wanted. The picture was pretty self explanatory I said that as long as you keep close to this design I don't care what base color you use. (It was a series of stripes) She stared at me and said NO! WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR BASE!! I then got up and said that it's obvious your mad so I just gave her $10 to take my paint off my set. I'll post a picture of the design I wanted and then post a pic of the result I got.

Got recommended this place, so I thought I would try it out! These are my winter formal nails for my dance on Friday and I absolutely love them! I'll definitely be coming back!!

Expert nail techs, a reasonable price, and a clean facility. The best pedicure I have had in Portland.

I almost felt like they were not open like maybe I walked in while they were still opening.. I didn't wanna make a big deal out of things so I just said "Hello". Nobody responded to me for a minute and then without asking me if I was getting a pedicure or manicure abruptly, told me to sit in seat one. I really make it a point to wash my hands before my service just out of respect for the tech but I felt like I was doing something wrong by moving around the shop because of the way that they were staring at me. When I sat down, I tried to say hello and strike up a small conversation. Literally the only thing that she said to me was "hello and do you work today?". No response to the question that she , She just stopped talking after that. I'm very introverted myself so I tried also to not take this personally. But I couldn't help but feel like I just was not welcome. I picked a color and although I know, sometimes the colors change slightly underneath of the light this color had to have been old because when I tell you the color that is on my fingernails is not the color that I chose, pretty frustrating and considering I snuck this appointment before I had work, I did not have time for her to take it off and change it . All well during this appointment there is a man in the back corner of the shop, banging on a pipe and making all this loud noise. Which is fine if repairs need to be done OK , but people literally work hard for their money and they wanna come here and relax and get their nails done not listen to a construction zone . And the last thing I'll say is that I didn't ask for a major design. I asked for a tiny little heart with a specific angle. And as she was trying to do this, I noticed that my middle nail was completely crooked. Not angled wrong because of how my nail bed is laying, like actually crooked. I tried to express that it was crooked and all she did was file it more crookedly. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately $60 for a full set that is basically crooked and wrong doesn't feel fair. I just simply left after paying. And i dont think ill be back. Could be worth another shot. But im not satisfied.

I called to ask if they were available for a dip mani. They said yes and to come in. I arrived…read moreabout 7 mins later as I live very close. They made me wait 25 mins before someone worked on my nails. The first woman took off my previous dip and sanded the nail beds. Then, she gave me to a different woman for the next steps. I had already told her I did not want that woman as she had done my nails previously and they were lumpy and had a black speck on one nail that I saw and told her that wasn't supposed to be there and she said you wouldn't be able to see it when we were done but when we were done you could see it plain as day and when I asked her to redo that nail, she said she couldn't see anything and the nail was fine. So, I told the woman I would rather have someone else do the finishing of the nails this time. She then sanded my nails some more for the prep and I had to wait an additional 30 mins for another woman to be available. No problem, a good set of nails is worth the wait. Overall, it took them 2 hours to do nails that shouldn't have taken more than 70 mins. Normally, my nails last 3 weeks and the only thing forcing me to get them redone at that time is the grow out. 6 days after getting my nails dipped, the tips and sides started to peel away from the dip and the top coat started to peel off. I was out of town and couldn't go back to the salon until day 10, and by that time 3 of my nails had the tips ripped off completely from snagging on stuff. Keep in mind these are my real nails. I've been having my nails dip mani for over 4 years straight and this has never happened. This was caused by lack of experience and expertise when prepping and finishing my nails. When I finally went into the salon to show the manager my nails, she said that happens with real nails. Ummm, no it doesn't. It's never happened to me. I asked for her to remove the remaining product from my nails and provide me a refund of my $70 I paid. She said refunds were against their policy but she would have someone fix them. I had already had everyone at her store do my nails at some point and none of them were worth $70 and 2 hours of my time. So no thanks on your sub par service. Ultimately, she chose to not give me a refund and told me she would prefer I leave a negative review of her business. I was very disappointed in her choice of outcome.

I had a pedi while waiting for my daughter. This was by far the very best experience I have ever had at a salon (aside of McMenamins Ruby's Spa). Kevin is a perfectionist, be prepared to spend some extra time in the chair if you want a design. My pedi experience was awesome! The massage chair was great, and the complimentary mimosa was such a sweet surprise. Lovely, soft music in the background with a YouTube video of rolling hills, zero chatter (yay!!), massage chair and wine. This was such a chill experience. My daughter showed off her nails to friends/family and they immediately asked where she got them done because they want to see Kevin also. He's going to have a very busy Summer! We so appreciated their hospitality, environment setting and talents. My only regret is not tipping them as much as they deserved. Next time!!! We paid $145 for one mani and one pedi. The length, design and jewels made the price increase but per my daughter, it was totally worth it. I believe my pedi was $45 which included a 10 minute massage. I have happy feet! See you again soon Lux Friends!!

They were clearly poorly done, showing how she put no care or real effort into my nails. On top of that, she caused me some of the worst pain I've ever had from a nail appointment. About a week and a half later, my pinky nail started lifting, which was extremely painful and a clear sign the acrylic was applied incorrectly. She was passive-aggressive throughout, calling me old and saying my head looked too big for my body in a backhanded way. When she started on my nail design, she became openly insulting, condescending, and belittling. I have auditory processing issues, and I'm on the spectrum, so explaining things concisely is one of my biggest struggles. Even with a reference photo for her, I struggled to answer her questions in a way that satisfied her. She told me I was giving her a headache and kept repeating the same few words, louder and more irritated, over and over again, when I would try to ask for clarification. I felt really uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. In the end, my sisters' and my nails cost $300--$150 for what are honestly the worst acrylics I've ever gotten. She rushed to finish so quickly that I didn't even get to properly check them until I got home, when it was obvious how bad, painful, and poorly done they were.

She runs a small salon and has one other nail technician which I appreciate and prefer a quieter salon because nails are supposed to be relaxing, right? Nancy did an amazing job with me and was very kind and had great conversation. I don't do anything wild with my nails and she is a specialty nail technician, but was still accommodating and provided a beautiful manicure & set. I returned a few days later to get a pedicure and acrylic on my big toes, she once again provided an amazing treatment & service being very kind and responsive to what I was wanting. I scheduled another appointment with her and I'm sure there will be many more !
