Old dive bar nostalgia, with easy to make food. Everything tasted good and the e vibe was fun/regulars. But the prices are regular Chicago bar prices, $10 a beer $8 for a Frank. If you're going to be dive, actually be dive. Overall though would stop again.

The bar was clean. I sat next to an open window and the breeze coming in was amazing. They sell your typical bar food but it was cooked on the spot. I ordered a beef hot dog with fries. It was grilled to perfection. It was loaded with the works as it should. It was so delicious. It was a bit pricey for what I ordered. There were no waiters. The bar tender was the one who took the order.

First time visiting Chicago, and I was on the hunt for a solid dive bar -- ended up at Snickers and it did not disappoint. This place is the real deal. Great drinks, awesome specials, and the kind of crowd that makes you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time walking in. The bartenders were absolute legends -- friendly, quick, and just the right amount of sassy. I even got to hang out with a local named Calvin who added to the whole vibe. Super chill, super fun, and honestly felt like I was hanging out back home. If you find yourself in the North River area of Chicago and want a no-frills, good-times kind of bar, make sure you swing by Snickers. And when you do, tell them their friends from Tucson sent you!

This is a great little bar. Friendly staff, clean bar and not all the fancy crap. It is bars bar. Definitely worth a visit unless you need tv's and too loud music in the background.

Classic dive bar located in River North, where this is like a throwback to before it became all gentrified. It has better but not really that cheap prices to be honest. Snickers looks pretty crappy from the outside, but the inside isn't any better though. More room inside than it looks to be. There's the main area and several others that are good for parties. At night is the best time to come. It's got quite a few specials going on. These are plastered all over the windows. Have to know what to get. They're pretty limited on healthy options. Even though it's a dive bar, the prices aren't that cheap but they're cheap for around here. It's about $5 to get Old Style. Food is pretty much an afterthought. There's some classic greasy stuff like gyros. Better than it looks as far as everything. It's like a dive bar with higher prices. There's some things here that are pretty cheap though.

Not sure how I haven't left a review on this place yet. We stayed right across this place this trip and ended up here each night pretty much. They have great prices and perfect bar food to end that night. The TV's are always on sports and the bar is always half packed. It's a great dive bar to pop in for a drink.

This is our go to "dive bar" when we are in Chicago. Fun bartenders, good selection of brews, and great atmosphere.

Just your average local bar. Reasonable priced drinks. Drinks average $10 a drink which is expected downtown Chicago

I realize it's not the simplest shot to make. The gray-haired bartender refused as it was too much work for one shot. Fair enough, I said I'd get two. He said making fewer than four was "a pain in the ass" and he wouldn't do it. Never mind then! Paid, tipped, and started to leave. Didn't want to interrupt the guys impersonation of a bartender for too long. I did mention it to the door staff as I was leaving and they had a problem too. Told me "yeah he's 100% right". Whatever! If the rude service isn't enough, maybe you'll like the copaganda around the bar. I recommend pretty much anywhere else.

While we were waiting for our drinks, he was arguing with two Hispanic men right next to us--for quite a while. When he finally served our drinks, he only brought one, forgetting my fiancé's order. We tried to be patient, but we had an appointment to get to. My fiancé politely said, "Excuse me, I didn't get my drink," and the bartender snapped back, "You didn't order a drink." When my fiancé clarified, the bartender doubled down and said, "No, you didn't, and if you have a problem, you can leave too." At that point, the two men walked out, and we should have, too. Needless to say, this place is a hard pass. Cringe vibes, rude staff, and no sense of customer service. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Surprised this place is still in business given the similar reviews I've seen. Old man needs therapy.

I ordered a drink and got a drink and then I moved on. Perfect. But turns out that it's only when that one guy works. Come with me on a five minute journey yelpers as we go through tonight's near drinking experience. My wife and I walked in. 3 other tables sat with drinks. Great. We sat at an empty bar. Love it. Two employees at the end of the bar ready to spring into action and pour me a Guinness. Nope. Brothers and sisters in Christ I say to thee nay. There were no drinks to be had tonight. We listened to someone do their own research about where he might sit outside with his bucket of bottles while he was led to a shelf of available options instead of told flat out. When he asked how much? He was given a general idea but no definitive response. Anyway, I'm already tired of this story and it got longer and worse and we never had anyone ask what we wanted so we walked a block down the road to Beaumont's which is the best. Go there instead. You can sit at the bar, eat some bread and oysters and drink while you write reviews for places that aren't worth your time. Cheers.
