Being in Larchmont NY for 24 years and knowing it like the back of my hand, somehow I didn't think to stop into this shoe repair until I walked passed. I've done business with Lee's Show Repair in the past. 1. On one visit, I needed a pair of rubber shoe covers and he didn't want to sell me a pair because they would not be useful for me due to them being lite wear and I needed heavy duty or heavy wear covers. I said thank you and I took them regardless. I thought to myself, SELF! This guy is talking himself out of a sale but then again he was more about satisfying a customer. On another visit, I took my shoes in for a shine and repair, why else come to a shoe repair shop. He had my shoes looking right, he even stitched the tongue (and told me that's how it was supposed to be), without even asking me, and he charged for that service without making sure it was okay. How nice of a shoe repair salesman to spend money that's not his. I let it go because there was another customer present. This visit I asked for waxed black laces. The waxed laces help the shoe remain tied, so not only did I get a black pair, I took a brown pair also. He has various sizes in both colors. They do have shoe trees, as well and cash or card. Pro tip - cream is for soft leather and polish is for hard leather. You can use Windex on patent leather shoes. Thank me later! Inspire more, Yelp more!

I was actually really surprised. One thing I will say is that I wish that their shoes are all in one place because their shoes on top of some of the clothing racks and it's just like a little bit annoying that you have to walk around the whole store to find all the shoes. This place has a lot of clothes so come prepared to look through a lot, but they have a very good array of coats and jacket, denim pants, skirts, button down, shirts, sweaters, and then they have a smaller area with like furniture and home goods. The people here also really friendly. The guy at the cash register was super nice and very humorous so I would definitely come back.

It seems like the focus was more on profitability versus mission and providing affordable, quality items to the local community (and I expect the copy-and-pasted ubiquitous response others have received to their feedback re: pricing). For instance, I saw a medium-sized print of a painting for $99 with a completely broken glass frame. Very disappointing. Also, it's a big store, and could use some additional organization. For instance, the toys are just put on top of the clothing racks and are not categorized by type--stuffed animals are mixed in with helmets. I don't see how any young kid can select their next favorite toy without having to ask an adult for assistance. Even I struggled to find toys for my nephew, who is expecting with his wife, as I'm 5'3" tall and had to go on full relevé to see with the options were. But, the staff was nice--that was a plus.

The selection in both stores was great. Holiday decor in every color you could imagine. Shelves were stocked. You didn't have to search high and low for anything it was all there. Customer service was great! I found a Jansport backpack for my daughter for under $20! Prices are great and thankfully it's a drive away from me or else I'd be there every day and there goes my paycheck the only downside is the parking garage doesn't have many spots on the level that the store entrance is on. I got lucky and was able to get a spot but you may have to park on another level and take the elevator to the store entrance level.

The store itself has a spacious layout and is well maintained with organized items and tidy aisles. I found some good shoe deals on the Marshalls side, and gourmet snacks on the HomeGoods side. Lines at the registers moved quickly. The only forewarning about going to this location is the parking deck. The store entrance is on the second level of the deck. Please be alert while driving in the deck; I saw a SUV nearly clip someone on foot walking with their bags to their car. Not a lot of space.
