I needed a healthy dinner after a few days of big eating and was craving a poke bowl. My bf and I were coincidentally only a mile away from here when I Yelped and found one of Fort Wayne's TWO poke places, so it was easy to convince him to get dinner here. The two workers were working HARD fulfilling the orders of the dozens of people who all decided to also get dinner around the same time. But we only waited in line a few minutes and we each got a bowl with one protein ($10.95 each). I chose ahi poke and my boyfriend chose marinated tuna. When I learned that the sky was the limit on how many toppings we could pile on, I was in heaven! I had been burned by poke places in the past limited the number of toppings to just 4-7. So of course, I got 90% of the toppings here at AA Poke haha! The food was also fresh, bright and vibrant, and delicious! After tax and tip, our dinner cost us $25. Us and many, many others in the restaurant left full and happy. I absolutely plan on being a repeat customer of AA Poke every time I am in FW visiting family.

We started with the Satay Chicken and the Crab Mandalay. Both were delicious. For dinner I had the Pad Thai Me Up with pork and a level 3 heat, which was probably mild to medium. The bartender was kind and polite and quick with the service. There were only about three or four tables with people, let them during the course of my time. A few other folks came and sat at the bar. I heard it a side salad with salmon and it came out to me pretty quickly. The flavor was delicious, the salmon, well cooked, and the apple vinaigrette dressing on the salad was delightful. The biggest challenge, was a table with a few children sitting at it. This is no fault of the restaurant, and really, not even the result of my four-star rating. This is merely a statement: if your children are misbehaving and screaming and banging things on the table while other people are trying to eat their dinner, then perhaps the best option is to remove the children from the restaurant. It's always surprising to me when parents are selfish and subject everyone else in the vicinity around them to the poor behavior of their children. As a parent myself, I would never do that to other people. When you go out to a nice restaurant, you want to relax and enjoy the time not listen to tantrums from a three year old. Even the bartender in the servers were frustrated with this table. Some people even walked out after sitting down when they realize that unbelievable noise is coming from one table. Not too hard to find with plenty of parking. The place is moderately large and can accommodate a group of 6-8 pretty well. The inside is decorated nicely to fit the Thai flair. Things were clean, orderly and food repairable for a small shop. Don't be alarmed if dishes sit on tables unbused for a while. It appears that they only have one waitress/host/bus person. Things sat a long while on this busy visit. The menu is fairly large and has many of your standard Thai dishes. The prices were reasonable. You feel like you got a good value as the portion sizes were decent and most things came with soup. The soup was your standard. Not much to distinguish the taste. It was pleasant, warm and tasty. I started with the Tod Mon Goon - which is basically a mashed shrimp patty that is fried. The shrimp tasted fresh and had a nice consistency for smashed shrimp. It was moist. The beading was nice and thick and fried to a perfect crisp. Just enough crisp to know that it was fried. But it did have a slightly heavy oily taste. The breading was thick enough to hold the shrimp together. The white sauce was very tasty. I thought it would be a tropical-coconut flavor. It seemed to be a Mayo tule sauce with a slight fruity flavor. You really couldn't distinguish the flavors. It had a thick consistency and nicely accented the dried shrimp! My entree was the Tom Yum seafood bowl. The bowl was large and contained a decent amount of shrimp, crab pieces, calamari and a couple mussels. All were gently cooked as they were boiled in the broth. The broth started out mild and got progressively hotter in spice taste. The broth was tasty enough to spoon up or pour onto the small rice dish provided. The tomatoes, mushrooms and lemon grass were nice accents to the seafood. Together they all made an enjoyable taste! Wing sauce had the perfect amount of spice, steaks were tender and seasoned well, garlic bread was crispy and garlicky, salads had good ranch.
