Wow! I found my new favorite poke bowl place! This little gem of restaurant, hidden among lots of chain restaurants and businesses, has only been here since 2019, so sadly it wasn't here when I lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana growing up here. I needed a healthy dinner after a few days of big eating and was craving a poke bowl. My bf and I were coincidentally only a mile away from here when I Yelped and found one of Fort Wayne's TWO poke places, so it was easy to convince him to get dinner here. The two workers were working HARD fulfilling the orders of the dozens of people who all decided to also get dinner around the same time. But we only waited in line a few minutes and we each got a bowl with one protein ($10.95 each). I chose ahi poke and my boyfriend chose marinated tuna. When I learned that the sky was the limit on how many toppings we could pile on, I was in heaven! I had been burned by poke places in the past limited the number of toppings to just 4-7. So of course, I got 90% of the toppings here at AA Poke haha! The food was also fresh, bright and vibrant, and delicious! After tax and tip, our dinner cost us $25. Us and many, many others in the restaurant left full and happy. I absolutely plan on being a repeat customer of AA Poke every time I am in FW visiting family. read more

The only true Poke restaurant that I found in Fort Wayne. Located near Coliseum. Small location with few tables only. Place was clean and have art mural on the wall. Rest room was also clean. Looks like they have regular customers. Some diners showed up during late lunch 3pm. Including non-asian kids ordering boba drinks. Food was typical. Bowl with rice and choices of protein and some sided. Sauces and side option was limited compared to major Poke restaurant. Food price was decent and fresh. Was bit surprised on fountain drink cost. Delicious poke bowl. Portions are good, price is good, and service is good. I always get 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of tuna. I suggest getting half brown and half white rice for some contrast. My favorite sauce combination is eel, ponzu, and spicy mayo. Most combinations of vegetables will work. Highly recommend a poke bowl to soothe your sushi cravings without spending a lot of money. read more

(Could've taken better pictures lol.) AA Poké is another place that I just like a lot. Like Kim Vũ, it's always a safe bet for when you just want to have good food without thinking about it too much. Nothing about it is particularly *special*, perhaps, but it's always on the back of my mind when trying out other poké places. Maybe it's the Fort Wayne prices that I was getting used to. Maybe it's the firm, flavorful fish, the soft, delectable shumai, or the combination of just-sweet-enough tamago, fresh avocado, crunchy masago and wakame (seaweed) salad on the steaming rice bowl. They also have a killer unagidon and one of the best beef bowls (gyudon) that can be found anywhere in America, not just in a poké or casual place. While AA Poké's not gonna make any publications or win any awards, there's just a lot to like about it. It's very simple and straightforward, which reminds me of... Japan. TL;DR Try it. This place is great! I have never had a bad experience here, and this time was no exception. The fish is always fresh tasting without off flavors. I also like that it's always clean in here and well maintained. They have a wide assortment of protein options, all of them very tasty! I got the Hawaiian Poke Bowl today and it was *chef's kiss*. Very filling and worth every penny IMHO. The poke is a little on the expensive side when comparing to their burritos etc. but it does not disappoint. It's no worse price-wise than what you would pay at any other sushi place for a fancy maki and you get 3 scoops of delicious protein. Pound for pound, this little place may arguably be one of the best restaurants in Fort Wayne... Complete hidden gem. We lived in Guam for 5 years, and AA Poke is as good as any place we had while traveling around the Pacific - The poke and vegetables are always fresh, the sauces are outstanding, everything is well-priced (for the quality of food), and the place is always super clean. Fresh! Flavorful!! I really enjoyed the Chipotle of rice bowls and sushi!!! The shop is small, has very little seating and really isn't set up for a 1 hour dining experience. However, it was clean and relaxed. The staff was incredibly helpful with a menu of choices that takes some learning. They were very friendly as well. I had the beef bowl and Boston sushi. The beef bowl had lots of fresh great flavors. The beef and onions were tender. The crab-radish salad is an art...very good! The fresh mango, cucumbers, edamame and tomatoes were delicious!! Yes!!!!! This was amazing!!! I love when this town starts catching up with food trends that have been elsewhere for years. I got a rice bowl. I got salmon, a bunch of other stuff and poke sauce. The poke bowl is delicious, in 5 steps you choose the most amazing food, you can get up to 3 proteins (3 types of tuna, yellowtail,salmon,shrimp,chicken and tofu) I love how I can just walk here to satisfy my poke cravings. They give a solid portion sizes here with a large array of toppings to pick from. I custom ordered my bowl with spicy tuna, spicy salmon with a half and half combo of greens and white rice. The white rice was cooked to the perfection. It really complimented the spicy crab that is scooped amongst a few other additions at the beginning. I also had them add tabiko, masago, pickled ginger, radish , spicy mayo and a few of the other accouterments. House spicy is really spicy and everything always tastes fresh. I also tried the mango boba drink it was just okay but more watery. My husband had ordered a poke burrito which was small in portion so he was kinda still feeling half empty and was looking at my bowl to hop on to grab a bite to eat. Perfect for the afternoons when you don't necessarily want something heavy but still want to eat something filling without a guilt. AA Poke is my absolute favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne right now. I go there several times per week and the days I don't go I spend wishing I had. Yes, the outside appearance of the building doesn't come off as glamorous as Core Life or other options fellow bowl lovers like myself might consider, but this is in no way a reflection of any other aspect of the AA Poke experience. Their ingredients are always fresh, the workers are friendly/quick, and their sauce selection is impressively extensive. Hands down the best Poke bowls I've ever had in my life. This was one of the best poke bowls I have ever had! There was a bit of heat, and I can't tolerate that much of, but the addition of of the Yum will Yum sauce helped cool it down. I am a very slow eater and I couldn't get this down my gullet fast enough. Next tim, I will have to add more cucumber and mango, but it is delicious as is. Fantastic! read more

Right off of Coliseum, this place is amazing for the Poke and Bubble tea lovers. Food court style, you walk up and order like you're at a Chipotle. You can either pick a pre-made option or customize a bowl, burrito, or salad. I'm not a huge fan of raw sushi so I customized my own bowl with 1 scoop of shrimp. However, I recommend getting two scoops of protein with the amount of rice they give you! Each option is very customizable with tons of topping options, for the most part, at no extra cost! I also ordered the pork gyoza's, which were really good. Kind of wish they were crispier than they were but they still tasted great. For what you get & the quality in our landlocked state, it's a good deal! I had the chose marinated tuna and spicy tuna. FYI the spicy sushi offerings are a ground sushi with traditional seasonings. I was in Fort Wayne on business from CA, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this place! I actually came here twice within 4 days, so this means 5 stars :) The fish was fresh and their spicy tuna and spicy salmon was yummy too. Good selection of toppings available and their sauce was very good too. You can't go wrong with spicy mayo + poke sauce, but I overheard pretty much all other customers get yumyum sauce, so I might have to try that next time I visit. I had their boba milk tea and lavender boba milk tea,and they were both really nommy - I would have liked more boba in my drink, but that might be something majority might not like.
