Great spot for a cool treat! Staff are super friendly and they have a bunch of flavors to choose from. It does come super sweet as they don't go light on the sugar or the cream, but isn't that what you're looking for anyway? It's great that they have ample parking and plenty of tables and seating. That said, it's about 60 degrees out so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I've been going here with friends for our sno cone fix for nearly 10yrs. This is definitely the go-to for sno cones if you're in the Friendswood/Alvin area! But unless it's super breezy or you're with a large group, it might be better to sit in your car as the seating is a bit limited (it's usually very crowded during the summer) and in this summer heat, youre going to have sugar soup in minutes. The tables get very sticky (it's understandable but not the most pleasant) and the location is sometimes tricky to get to or get out of if traffic is backed up down the road. The location and cleanliness is where I had to take off points. The sno cone flavors are yummy and usually the ice to syrup ratio is great! The high schoolers who usually work the stand are very nice and work hard to get the long lines moving quickly. I'll be back for sure read more

I dropped by this past weekend on the way to Galveston. It's not right off of the highway, but worth going to especially since I've been itching for some sno. Only takes about 10 minutes with all the lights. They have the same flavors as the two trucks in Austin. It is actually a small building, instead of trucks. Perhaps this was the first location. There's also plenty of outdoor seating underneath huts, giving it a tropical feel. Unfortunately, the ice was not as soft and fluffy as the one in Austin but beggars can't be choosers. On a really hot day in Friendswood, Sno Beach is easily one of the most crowded areas in town. Interestingly situated by the cemetery in the Perry's Grill parking lot, the stand features a huge selection of snow cone flavors and picnic tables covered with tropically styled umbrellas for shade. Oh, and did I mention its own parking spaces? The selection and flavors are phenomenal as they allow you to mix and match to your desire; and you can always get cream and/or ice cream on top of that! I could not imagine a better treat on a sunny and hot Texas day. To high schoolers, Sno Beach employs a lot of Friendswood High School students. So, if you're in need of a job in the spring or summer, I'd suggest you check it out. Also, it seems as if it's great for seasonal college students as well. And to junior high schoolers, I remember walking over there for P.E. every once in awhile for good behavior as a class. Even though that only happens a few times a year, it's just a short walk from school, so it's always a nice way to end "hard-earned" school day. As far as snow cones go, this is as good as it gets. I guess it just feels weird reviewing, well... ice. Nevertheless they deserve nothing less than 5-stars for their quaint little snow cone stand. For the price of $4 or so, you can walk away with a deliciously flavored (or multi-flavored for the same price) shaved ice snow cone. The ice is soft and the flavors are tasty. My personal favorite is the Tom Collins, and no, no, no, it's just a coincidence that I share the same surname. There are tons of flavors to choose from. Last time I was there I tried half strawberry and half kiwi - it was pretty awesome. I've tried a few other flavors but mainly come back to the Tom Collins cause it's the bomb. Check this place out this summer (or all the way until like November since that's when it might get cooler? Probably not) and enjoy yourself something cool in the heat of Houston! read more

I like sno beach. Loved walking past the scenic graveyard on my way there as a kid before. The sno cones are great and it's actually ice shaved so that you can eat it and not feel like you are eating ice croutons. The flavors are good. The tables are sticky. When it's hot I don't care that much, but they are sticky and there are bees or insects that it attracts. Some might not think it is a big deal, but I can't eat my sno cone when there's a bee near my sno cone. So there's that. Also, I've always received perfectly made sno cones all the way back from when it was a middle aged hispanic lady working there when I was little. Now they have teens who are probably high schoolers working there and it's been that way for years - and I still have perfectly made sno cones except for twice so far. And I hope i don't get that one girl again. But other than that, I love this sno cone place. They take cash only. And last I saw you can buy a tshirt that will donate money to a children's charity.
