My experience at Verdi's was amazing. When visiting Marco Island this place is a must. The HEAD CHEF at Verdi's is the owner. The chef loves his family, his wife, loves to cook, loves his customers and loves his restaurant. The chef came out of the kitchen to our table to make sure everything was prepared the way we wanted it prepared. The food here is cooked to order. This place will give you a VIP experience. They don't rush you out of the restaurant. They make sure every customer is treated like family. What a great restaurant. The food was amazing. I had the surf and turf. Three of us came to Verde's tonight to celebrate a birthday. Service was excellent, ambience was superb. Meals for two of my friends, no complaints. They had Lobster Fettuccine and Filet Mignon. I on the other hand ordered the pistachio encrusted grouper and I should have known better than to order this because when you cook fish this fancy, sometimes it's not good. It was dry and tasteless. I would not recommend it to anyone and I'm saying don't waste your money. read more

Because , I ordered and tried to enjoy it and it was not worth bragging about . It was chewy dry tasteless covered in an indistinguishable sauce . They specialize in American and Italian food, with a focus on local seafood. Definitely make reservations since they're only open for dinner and have just a fixed number of tables in two small rooms inside and then a handful of outside tables. We were seated in the front room off to the left which is very cozy with some booth tables...I love a booth! Our server came right over and got us settled with some water and drinks. Their wine list is impressive and was delivered promptly while we were still chatting and looking over the menu. One friend and I both opted for each of the seafood specials that night while another got the Verdi's Grouper...everything was plated beautifully and portions were nice and large. Also, each entree comes with the house salad, or you can upgrade to one of the other salads or the soup. I upgraded to the Clam Chowder which was creamy and delicious. Very impressed! read more

My wife and two of my sons (20, 15) ate here in November 2024. In a nutshell, I would describe it as elevated Italian cuisine. Most of the dishes have a unique twist, which seem to distinguish it from run-of-the-mill Italian. The food quality is excellent and the presentation (with edible flowers) was next level. 1 1/2 stars rounded up to 2. The only redeeming quality at Verdi's was that our waiter was polite. And the bread pudding wasn't that bad, The food was just not good. We ordered the chicken penne and it was just a quarter cup of boxed penne with a quarter of a boiled chicken breast and a couple of canned artichoke hearts. We also got the pistachio crusted grouper...the grouper was old and tough and the mashed potatoes...well, let's just say they could sell the recipe to Elmers to make glue. The asparagus was fresh though. After the waiter put our dessert menus on the table, he walked away to let us decide. After about a minute this very tall, big guy in a plaid shirt comes to our table and grabs the dessert menus and says "what's the verdict?" I was so taken aback I thought it was a crazy customer or something because the waitstaff was wearing all black. He must be the owner or manager but he didn't introduce himself or ask how the food was, when he grabbed the menus we told him we hadn't even looked at them yet and he sets them back down on the table and walks away, not another word. I would not return and would not recommend. There are plenty of other places to eat in Marco. read more

Wow. What a great place. The location is tucked away and is so intimate. Alan the waiter was so attentive and professional. The food is amazing. Moms clam chowder is a must try. We had the grouper and the sea bass and the special (veal chop). Each meal was incredible. We met Vince the owner and his daughter Hannah the hostess, both were exceptional individuals. Family owned and run business which produces a great product. This place is a must try and a must go back again place. Love you guys. See you next year when we come back to the island. read more

Nice local restaurant with pleasant ambiance. We had a reservation and were seated after about 10 minutes. We were having a little difficulty picking an appetizer and started with the Wiki Wiki Shrimp which is described at Tempura Shrimp. Very dissapointed with this dish, its heavly breaded and has nothing to do with Tempura Shrimp. The salad was good although the balsamic dressing was quite tart. Unlike the starter there seemed to be many good mains to choose from. I went with the Jumbo Shrimp and Diver Scallops with Fettucini. The Shrimp were indeed jumbo and the Diver Scallops were also good sized. There was a creamy lobster tomato sauce which was very flavorful. We had a nice wine to pair. Service was ok but a bit hit or miss, some lengthy waits between interactions and a bit forgetful. Overall pretty good place. read more

Visited with a group of 12. The restaurant is nice and the staff was friendly but the location lacked ambience as it was dead quiet (soft music would have helped). The food was a big disappointment. Of the 12 there were only 2 or 3 that liked not loved what they ordered. My sea-bass had a strange outer texture, lacked flavor and tasted microwaved. We dined at 12 restaurants over our two week vacation and would rate this 12th. Sad as the reviews were strong. Hopefully this was just an off night. read more

A solid performer in the very crowded traditional Italian cuisine market on Marco Island. Service was attentive, the food came quickly, and it was delicious. It had fresh made Italian style bread with an interesting olive oil dip. An excellent recommendation from the waiter for the Cabernet, and a fine pasta main course. The dining area was lighter and more open than many of the other Italian places I've been to on Marco, but no view as it is on a main thoroughfare. Though I was the first diner at 5 pm, within half an hour it started to fill up. Not certain why some places close down for the low season as there still seems to be a demand for dining seats. I can highly recommend the main course, fettuccine with scallops and jumbo shrimp. And the J. Lohr Winery Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent fresh out of the bottle. No need to breathe at all. Will I go back, that's the real judgment on a restaurant. And I will, if not just to have the reck of lamb next time. read more

One of our favorite places to visit on Marco. Our trip was only 5 days and we ending up going twice! We have been coming here for a few years and never a bad meal or experience. The Chilean sea bass and rack of lamb are top notch. The wine is perfectly and lightly chilled and accompanied all of dishes well. The whiskey break pudding was fought over at the end. This little jewel of a restaurant is located in Marco Island, where We just spent a week on vacation. My daughter found it online somehow and told me to visit. A party of 7 all in family were seated within 10 minutes, our waitress named Michelle made us feel right at home with her jokes and infectious smile. We ordered seafood croquettes and Brie cheese as starters which were devoured within minutes as both were delicious , my husband ordered the Chilean sea bass and I ordered the blackened salmon on a bed of mash with sautéed spinach, WOW! My cousins ordered fettuccine and also halibut fish, I didn't take photos of all the food but I highly recommend this restaurant in you're visiting Marco Island in Florida read more

(I recently ordered Uber Eats and although they said they delivered, we never got our order). Verdi's was recommended and the food was great! Took 45 min on a Friday night to be delivered and it was worth it. Ordered the wedge salad, petite fillet and shrimp and scallop with fresh fettuccine. My parents made reservations to dine at Verdi's for my boyfriend's birthday while we were visiting them in Florida. Reservations are highly recommended as the place is pretty small and it got full when we were there on a weeknight. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, with soft booths and fabric tablecloths. Our server was really sweet and wonderful. The table was decorated with confetti as they knew we were there for a special occasion. The menu is pretty small but varied with steak, pasta, and seafood options. You start with warm bread, butter, and olive oil and balsamic. I was having trouble deciding between the grouper and the salmon, so I asked our server for her recommendation. She said the grouper had a vanilla wafer crust which some people don't like because of the sweetness, which was really helpful because it didn't mention that in the description on the menu. My boyfriend got the sea bass which is one of their specialties. My mom ordered the scallops and my dad got the chicken penne pasta. Our food didn't take too long to come out and everything looked really beautiful. My salmon was cooked to a perfect medium (I didn't specify) and the Parmesan risotto was flavorful and creamy. Unfortunately the spinach that came on the dish was super salty almost to the point of being inedible. Everything else was great though. I had a bit of scallops and sea bass and they were both cooked perfectly! Everyone loved their entrees. We decided to split the German chocolate cake for dessert and it came out with a candle and some servers sang happy birthday! I was surprised because you don't see that too often anymore. It was hilarious. The cake was okay but I thought it had a bitter taste, but the caramel sauce was delicious. Everyone else loved it. The food was good however the service was terrible. We had to ask twice for the water and the waitress said that we needed to leave an above 20% tip. We were a party of 11 and we all tipped her 18%. I cannot believe considering we were the only ones in the restaurant that the waitress complaint. The tip is based on the service received not an obligation. She should feel lucky that she got 18% considering her service was not the greatest. The food was good. read more

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Verdi's. My wife has several food sensitivities and the staff was fantastic at working with her to prepare a modified tuna special that she raved about. My sea bass was delicious. I had the German chocolate cake for dessert and while not what I would call a traditional presentation it too was very good. The wine selection is adequate and we enjoyed our bottle. Great service and excellent food, five stars. The only down side I can mention is the "strip mall" location and limited seating, but that doesn't take away from the experience. Give them a try. read more
