I had the Seattle Cuban, which was good, although they ran out of their red onion relish. The sandwich was good without it, but it probably would have been better with that relish. This is another food truck we see at the Washington Brewersfest every year. Typically there will be one meal from this food truck for sure. In the past I have had the Cuban Bowl and the Cubano sandwich. This year my wife grabbed the cuban bowl for us to split. Like the years past its still absolutely amazing!! I have no complaint on this food truck. I love everything we have had and they have their own hot sauce that is amazing!! Just ran across this place on Market St in Ballard (Tuesday) and it smelled amazing so I gave it a shot. I've had traditional Cuban sandwiches and soup before and this place does it correctly. It's the combo of the correct ingredients that make it or break it, and they have the right mustard, pickle, ham pork and cheese combo, but most importantly they use Cuban bread, and that alone makes me a fan. This was their first day firing up the pimped out food truck and so they had a soft opening of sorts for friends, family and those of us lucky enough to wander by. We got the chance to give the Picadillo (cuban style hash) a try. It was the perfect blend of sweet, spicy & savory. The dish was topped off with plantains with smoked tomatillo-coconut sause. It absolutely hit the spot! Looking forward to checking out all their other dishes. Another bonus was that the service was fast & friendly. If it weren't for the fact that we were sitting next to a food truck, I would have felt like I was eating at their home- they were just that nice. read more

One of the 2 food trucks in Seattle that I have found worth visiting. I have tried the BBQ pork sandwich, Seattle Cuban, and veggie bowl. The pork is nicely prepared and the flavors of the sandwiches are balanced and well thought-out. There are a lot of comparisons to Paseo's, but this is really a different style and I don't feel like hibernating for a day after I eat here. Wow! I'm a food snob but I will try every cuisine at least once. I'm so glad I tried their food truck for lunch today. Snout & Co rocks! I ordered the Cuban bowl and it was deeeelicious! It was so tasty from the plantain cakes to the roasted cooked pork. The only thing that was missing was a mojito :) The portion was perfect and it was so good that I was tempted to order another bowl. I can't wait for their food truck to come back to Bellevue again. I ordered the Cuban bowl for lunch on a Wednesday in Queen Anne and it was really really good. Beans were done really well and had great flavor. The pork was tender, juicy, and delicious. Sometimes with pulled pork you can get some fatty pieces but the bowl barely had any I had to discard. The fried plantains were awesome. Their saltiness added a lot to the meal as a whole. The bowl overall had a good amount of heat and stay away from the sauce they give you if you don't do well with spiciness. I had the Cuban bowl, add some chimichurri and mango sauce along with collard greens. It weighed 8 lbs and I had no hope of making a dent. Turns out I ate the whole damn bowl. fat bastard. it was so delicious. The pork was super succulent, the chimichurri made me want to hook up a chimichurri iv drip next to my bed and the beans and rice were awesome. Was excited to try the bbq sandwich because it says it's south carolina style. Don't be fooled... this is not carolina bbq in any way shape or form. There was a minuscule amount of apple slaw (seriously like one piece of apple and 5 shreds of cabbage. I couldn't taste the mustard/vinegar sauce if there was any. The finishing sauce is ancho ginger... not bad tasting, but not what you do with carolina bbq. all in all... not a bad sandwich, but NOT carolina style. The Seattle Cuban blew the taste-buds out of my mouth! SO GOOD!!!

I hired Snout and Co to cater my wedding for 150 guests at the Great Hall at Green Lake. We had a buffet dinner of the rice/beans, pork, salad, sauteed greens, and sauces, no appetizers, and a later night snack of the black bean burgers, pork sandwiches, and sweet potato fries. We were on a budget so we did paper/compostable plates, utensils, and cups. Bottom line - hiring Snout and Co was absolutely the BEST DECISION we made in the entire wedding. Not only were they affordable for such a large group of people, but the FOOD WAS AMAZING! I had extremely picky eaters come up to me throughout the wedding and confess it was the best wedding food they'd had. The last night snack was amazing - even though people were still relatively full from dinner they still ate practically ALL the snack by 10pm because it was so good. Most of all though, Snout and Co - specifically Lee, the owner - were the most helpful, flexible, laid back vendors my wedding coordinator had ever met. She raved about them for weeks after the wedding, saying she had never worked with anyone so accommodating. In the middle of the party they went out and bought us another keg because we had already killed the rest of them - who does that?! THEY DO!!!! Throughout the planning process they were willing to add in extra bits like cake cutting, bar tending, and helping clean up. If you are looking for amazing food and want to work with awesome people who don't have a stick up their butt like most professional wedding caterers you should check out these guys - and more importantly, you should stop by the truck some time and try their food - it's delicious! These guys are amazing! They catered a friends wedding. As my friends day of coordinator I was a little nervous about them choosing a food truck. My fears were totally needless. Not only was the food amazing (all of the guests were raving) but the owner and his staff were incredibly helpful and professional. When we ran out of beer they offered to run out and get us another keg. They carried a keg up two flights of stairs for us, and provided cake cutting free of charge. I have been to this truck on several occasions and I have never left disappointed or hungry. I have friends that rave about the Cuban, having tried it I would have to agree that it is really good. But my favorite item on the menu is their Carolina style pulled pork. The pork is well prepared that it barely needs to be chewed and their house made bbq sauces just add to the experience. Visited the Snout & Co. food truck for the first time at the Chateau St. Michelle event over Memorial Day weekend. I'm originally from Miami, so I'm pretty picky about my Cuban food. Cuban bowl was just ok... the whole thing was a bit bland and it wouldn't make the cut on Calle Ocho, especially the sauce. On the other hand, the Cuban sandwich was pretty good, despite being on a pressed hoagie instead of Cuban bread (which isn't exactly available in Seattle, so I'll give them a pass). Overall , not bad if you haven't had authentic Cuban food before, but I think I'll wait until I head home for a visit to get my Cuban food fix. read more

Hi Snout and Co, tried your food truck in Bellevue today and ordered the 'special' fried chicken sandwich. When I order fried chicken I expect a whole piece of chicken meat. Instead you served me a sandwich stuffed with nasty horrible chicken tenders. Total bait and switch and I didn't realize this until I got back to the office and unwrapped it. I'm doubly disappointed, especially when I see a picture of another chicken sandwich review for you on yelp and it's a whole piece of fried chicken. What would you do if you ordered fried chicken in a restaurant and they delivered to you 4 chicken tenders? Next time I see your truck I'm going to ask you about this and give you the chance to make it right. How does that sound to you? And it was advertised as a 'special' and it was also the most expensive item on the menu. Don't serve an item unless it is consistent with how you always serve item. Otherwise you need to let the consumer know that you are serving chicken tenders not fried chicken. Thanks. read more
