When I voted here, in the Senior Center, it was great to meet and greet with volunteers from the Senior Center who told us more about the activities they do on that side. They put on social events and dances and educational programs. I would have never known. There is a Louduon Rec Center Guide that comes out seasonally. Within it, there are classes for kids and adults on activities at the rec center and surrounding. I signed up for a few things for our family members and other than one event, they all were exceptional! I recently came for a Play All Day event. There was demonstrations in the lap pool, scavenger hunt in the leisure pool for kids, Bounce houses outside, dancing class for seniors, live band and food trucks, etc. It was amazing to see the facilities and use the rock wall for free. The daily passes to the rec center are so reasonable too with $6 for adults and $4 for kids. They even have family passes if people from the same house hold are coming together. As I continue to discover more and more about the recreation center, and meet all the wonderful people that work here; I continue to get more and more amazed at this place and their offerings. It's great running into your neighbors and bonding with the new summer staff from local high schools.

It's down a dirt road but im assuming, pretty new and everything is so clean. I prefer the classes over the actual gym and they have tons. They also have a pickleball court! It took me a minute to find a parking spot but again, lot of very big for the size of the facility. When checking in, there is no questioning for guests, which I liked. I didn't have to talk to anyone or fill out a form. I just got to go and do the classes. When walking thru the main level, there is a whole basketball court, pickleball court, child care, FULL locker rooms (that are huge). You go upstairs and huge weight training room and group fitness classes. I love Heidi's Barre classes. Everything is so clean, looks so nice and welcoming. The reason for 4 stars is the price of the membership. $170 seems silly.

They come out of the sauna or jump into the cold plunge with their sweat dripping off their bodies. The lifeguards do nothing about children being in the hot tub. The lifeguards do not monitor kids swimming in the lanes where they shouldn't be. So expensive ... need to find another . Also charging for " free" refills of iced tea. Rip off.

Great swim school! But…read more... Donna Boone is crazy. She seems to be into people's business that are in no way related to her or the swim school. What kind of swim school is that?! I think she should keep her mind and her business into the SWIM school and not my daughters business. From the looks of it she intimidates her employees and makes her girls cry. I saw it with my own eyes last year. These are just teenagers. I think it might be time for a new form of leadership. Again , great swim school, kids have fun, however a change needs to occur, for all of our sons and daughters sake.

This a comparison of our experiences with these schools (just PSS and aquatots because we did not go to swim kids long due to distance from home). Note: we have not gone to PSS recently so this review may not accurately reflect how they are today. In terms of pricing, PSS cost the most. Swim kids and aqua tots are about the same. I remember PSS's website used to say, "we are not a discount swim school". We currently send our two younger kids to aqua tots. In terms of friendliness, aquatots has been the nicest. Scheduling make-ups have been no issue. Was not like that for PSS (maybe part of their "we are not a discount swim school policy") Facilities are nicer at aquatots. More changing rooms. Cleaner. Newer building. I can only speak for the one at East Gate. PSS has been around a long time. Instruction seems to be about the same at all locations. Aquatots employs mostly younger instructors in their late teens or early twenties. PSS instructors were older (thirties, forties, fifties). I actually prefer the older instructors as they have more experience. At the end of the day though, my kids all progress with both swim schools. I will also say that it all depends on the instructor and both schools had some good and some bad instructors. I would only recommend PSS if they were more competitively priced and had an accommodating make-up policy.
