This is our first time playing softball and our first time playing this league. One of my…read morepickleball friends reached out to me to join her softball team that consisted of other pickleball players. Most of us hadn't played softball before. I was learning new rules every game. Some of the rules are complicated for sure. We were on the Wednesday league. Most of the regular season games were washed out due to rain almost every Wednesday (unbelievable). They made up some of our games in the end with double headers. They have nice refs each game. Great sportsmanship from almost all the players. We knew we would be getting rings for winning the championship. However, after we won the finals, there was no ring and no email for two weeks. We spoke with players from the advanced league and they informed us that the league operators must have forgotten as they give out the rings immediately after the conclusion of the finals. I reached to their help desk team and sent them our finals report. We received a response with the instructions on how to get our rings and champs t shirt. Rings are awesome. Fits my middle finger and it's nice and heavy. Absolutely worth it. I wish they had given it to us on the finals day as we could have had a nice team picture.

We've also visited the water park several times, and our kids always have a great time. It's clean, well-maintained, and offers enough variety to keep them entertained for a few hours. Overall, I'd consider Cub Run one of the better rec centers in Fairfax County. The facilities are nice, the pricing is reasonable, and it's a great place for families.

I won't lie. It is very expensive. It's very time consuming. But the payoff is that your cheerleader WILL improve in ways you didn't expect. Do not go into all star cheer putting in the bare minimum and expect amazing results. Our daughter is in the gym 5 days a week for practice and extra classes. Where the Rays add value is the class prices. Some gyms look to squeeze you for extras but not at the Rays. I registered her in tiny cheer, which she has been going to for three weeks. After every class she tells me how happy she is and how nice her coach and new friends are. I am very impressed with the coaches and their ability to manage several 3-4 year olds and still successfully teach them. My daughter is the youngest in her class, so I didn't expect her to learn much at first, but she is learning something new or improving basic skills each week. I am very happy with the pure joy that she gets from going to the Stingrays gym.

I got a bit ahead of myself because I didn't want the spots to fill up. When the schedule came out, I realized we wouldn't need to make the 40 minute drive to Libero. I tried to contact management through the email on their site. No one would call me or email me back. After waiting and no reply, I called and spoke to a very unpleasant man who claimed to be the owner and refused to gives us a refund of the $298. He didn't care that she had not been to a class or that it was a mistake. It's clear to me he is in it for $$$ and not community. Which is very unfortunate especially in todays time. I know I'm out the money and I hope he uses it for good.

Very different experience than other volleyball clubs. Some of the coaches are good, but the…read moremanagement and leadership of the organization is poor. Very odd financial practices. They only take money directly from bank accounts which is unheard of from other volleyball clubs. They will also not offer refunds. Just be aware when you sign up...you will not get your money back likely under any circumstance so be very sure you will participate. Other clubs will work with you and offer fair and cordial business practices so this is rather different. To echo what another reviewer said, they do weigh girls and comment frequently on their weight. It is a very archaic coaching practice that is heavily frowned upon in most other clubs.
