It's a very "aesthetic" place. I got the SnowBean, which is flour, milk based ice with frosty flakes. It was really good. (I was actually in the mood for shaved ice, but this took a spin on things for me.) If you have ever seen it, Snowbean is actually RIGHT next to Izziban, the Korean BBQ place, so it's really easy to miss--I know my friend was surprised that it was so close to a place we eat KBBQ so often at. The snow is okay... it wasn't there for me texturally and it had little flavor in my opinion. Nothing special really. When I think of snow I think of delicate ribbons of snow. This was more icy and crumbly. The cafe was decorated BEAUTIFULLY. It's romantic and intimate with dim lighting. They have outdoor seating with a great view of a lake! Overall, the cafe is gorgeous and conveniently located next to izziban so if you want Korean BBQ I recommend checking this place out after. Not my first time here, I've studied here quite a bit. I'm surprised I never officially checked in lol! Everything in here is so cute, it's comfortable, and the coffee is strong. A large variety of Korean desserts too. This is located right next to izziban, it's nice to catch up with friends and sit outside by the water. There's a large lake front here. Overall, one of my favorite coffee shops. I never feel crammed in here. The music is nice and the coffee is delicious. Staff is friendly as well. Is it me or is everything Korean cute? We came in after we were finish eating at izziban. The waiter gave us a bogo for the shaved ice. As a first timer I was very confused on what to get, the girl helping me was not really helpful either. However, you could tell she was training because she had to get her manager to assist her. I ended up just getting the snow bean shaved ice with cheesecake. It was definitely different. It has these rubbery chewy sponge like items that were not good, but I just picked them out. Overall it was okay, I didn't hate it or love it. But it was nice to try something different. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the interior is very nice, something you would see watching on a K-Drama.. haha The exterior is lovely as well since its right on the water. I was disappointed on the selection of baked good/pasteries that were made available. It's not made in house so their stock of choices was greatly limited. I do love Korean bakeries where you can pick an abundance of varieties, but you won't get that here sadly. I will say their shaved ice is pretty delicious. I tried the snowbean flavor with mango and red bean topping. Its unique on its own compared to other shaved ice places so give it a try! It was basically just pale green milk... the only redeeming quality of the place really was the bean pastry I tried (but this was imported and not made by the cafe). Adorable and delicious little place! It's attached to the big Korean BBQ place at Colonial/50 and has plenty of parking. The menu is extensive and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. When I went there were lots of people studying or working quietly. The back patio area overlooks the lake and is a nice place to sit and relax - it will make you forget you're just down the road from downtown! In addition to the drinks they also sell a good variety of Korean style pastries and cakes, as well as ice cream novelties and little toys. I can't wait to check them out again! read more

Was craving something sweet so I stopped in with a friend. We got a couple cream puffs (3 for $1.99) and the brownie reo shaved ice ($5.99). There is a lot of people who go there and actually study so if you want to talk to friends then outside is the way to go cause then you feel like disturbing people. Snow bean is soooo good. The bingsu here has authentic Korean rice cakes, my favorite snow bowl is the injeolmi one. I substitute the red beans for vanilla ice cream because I like the compliment of the rice cakes, powder, and vanilla better. It is also topped with Frosted Flakes cereal which adds a nice textural component. The shop is so cute and there are always a few people on their laptops enjoying their time. Stumbled on Snowbean via Yelp the other day and decided that we MUST try it. So glad we did!! We have a family full of Boboa Tea and Shaved ice lovers, so this was hard to stray from our regular Quickly routine, but we all came out smiling from ear to ear. So different than anything we've tried before. LOVED the atmosphere of this coffee house. Was very temperature cool- on the dark side- loved the bookshelves and had an overall WELCOMING cozy vibe!! Could have stayed there for hours! We bought the Snowbean, Coffee Shaved Ice, and an Oreo Frappacinno. All were delicious. I found the Snowbean super refreshing and lacking the complete fullness regret I get from many desserts. Kids both loved their choices as well. We will DEFINITELY be going back. A-OK. 5 stars for cozy, well decorated interior. My only complaint is that it is freezing sometimes, but they do provide some fleece blankets for you. The one thing that I will keep coming back for is the patbingsu, which is probably the most authentic one I've had in Orlando. The staff is also friendly and attentive. The reason for this being 3 stars is mostly due to their prices. I do not understand their pricing structure as a small (12 oz) is about $4-5, while a medium (16 oz) is $7-8. The price per ounce is significantly higher with the larger size. Also, they import their pastries from Atlanta, so they are not made fresh daily, which is probably why they keep it so cold in there. While the taste and texture is still retained for the most part, they are still very overpriced compared to the bakeries in other cities that do bake fresh pastries daily (such as Paris Baguette). Finally, they do sell some popsicles that are also severely overpriced. For example, a Melona bar is $4.50 for one, while a box is available for purchase at an Asian supermarket down Colonial for just a little more than that. read more

Conveniently attached to Izziban on Colonial, SnowBean is small cafe that has a deck with the most picturesque view. I really loooveddd the macchiato I ordered. The seating area on the deck was the perfect spot to enjoy it, especially during a sunset. The disappointment I had was that the baked goods were overpriced, IMO. Some items were like $3 for a single bread or pastry. It's also incredibly cold inside the cafe, so my friends and I were forced to sit outside. Good thing the weather was nice and the sunset was just starting. Another plus is the cute cats that reside on the grounds. I came in at around 11PM and was surprised to see that they open until 2AM, which is a huge plus. The lakefront lounging and really nice customer service were also huge pluses. Upon seeing the menu, I noticed just 2 things on their menu--shaved ice, and iced tea. Weird... I've seen lattes and other things posted on Yelp, but perhaps the menu was cut short due to the time of the night? Maybe their espresso machine was down? Hmm... I got a shaved ice (it was mochi, cereal, and something else), per the recommendation of the really sweet lady working here. It was ok, definitely something new and interesting, although for almost $5, I wouldn't try it again, or if I had known there were other add-ons to it, I'll try it. The only good thing about this place is the outdoor seating. It has a nice view of the water. However, if you are counting on the dessert, pastries or even coffee to be amazing, they are not. I've had plenty of Korean/Asian version of shaved ice and this location is not good. Ordered the snowbean classic shaved ice and the mochi was NOT fresh, the bean powder was not fresh, only the ice cream that came on top was good since they were out of red bean. Also ordered a dalgona coffee drink and it was so bitter and the coffee was not fresh. Will not be returning here. You are better off going somewhere else for dessert. read more
