This place is not like it used to be. Very dirty. Poor customer interaction. Sad it used to be one of my favorites. Never will go back.

I was fortunate to attend a private event yesterday with ice cream provided by Snowflake. The bionic swamp thing (or something like that) and cherry-pistachio were amazing flavors. Nona's choice was also great according to my partner. There were several other choices available but unfortunately, due to time and space limitations, we weren't able to try them all. However, judging by the reactions of other guests, the other flavors were equally amazing. read more

Always make a point to come here when I'm in town. The ice cream is so good, with large portions, for a good price! For two regular sized sundaes it costs about $14! The staff are always pleasant, and accommodating. This place can get busy at times, but you never seem to wait that long. I would recommend giving them a shot! read more

Alright, I'll say this, the ice cream at Snowflake is without a doubt best I've had and worth the 5 hour drive and the wait. Everyone here is attentive and kind and the service is quick. The flavors are creative and there's always a new flavor. Beware of the monster shake, it really is a MONSTER, I'm not sure how anyone could finish it. Black Magic Woman with "the stuff" sounds like the most ridiculous ice cream order but I SWEAR... it will change your life. Snowflake is an absolute classic. I take all my friends from out of town here. It is consistently awesome! Everything about this small home town ice cream shop, I LOVE!! The ice cream is seriously fantastic! Nice and creamy but it doesn't melt down right away. You can make a shake from any flavor and they are amazing :) I really really adore the dog treats they make! They take a large milk bone and sandwich it with some vanilla ice cream. Snowflake Ice Cream Shoppe is an excellent choice for Ice Cream. The ice cream is homemade and quality was right on. I had a Banana Split on a sugar cone. Delicious. My wife was surprised that I did not order some version of chocolate ice cream. WTF. The Banana Split was vanilla ice cream mixed with cherries, blueberries, nuts, but no banana. While the taste was not exactly Banana Split in flavor; it was very good. It had that chunky fruit taste. Not to sweet, but very enjoyable. Snowflake Ice Cream Shoppe offers about 25 to 30 plus flavors, shakes, cones, cups and sundaes. Seems like a business that has been part of the community for years. Excellent little gem for ice cream lovers. Snowflake Ice Cream Shoppe is an excellent local ice cream shop. They have plenty of outside seating to enjoy your dessert and watch the sunset. Their in-house ice cream is always delicious, and they often have some nontraditional flavors. Service is incredibly friendly (I always make sure to bring some tipping $) and shakes are perfect consistencty. Happy the old-fashioned joint is still around, 'cause (like Ice Cream Cottage) it deserves to be. Check out whatever's seasonal, and anything else that seems odd, because they make whatever the hell they please, and do a great job of it. Wife and I didn't have the best experience there during our first visit last week. I am a big eater and order a pint of ice cream with hot fudge sprinkles and whipped cream at every ice cream place. This place can't accommodate that and they would have to put the toppings on the side? I don't mind paying extra for my sundae to be made the way I want. The fact that they can't make it that way and would have to waste additional cups to put toppings (or the server would "get in trouble") on the side makes no sense. Also my wife's Cookie Monster or whatever they name of the flavor was was too overloaded with dry cookies. It was to a point where she didn't even feel like she was eating ice cream. My ice cream was good, smaller then I wanted, but good nonetheless. We will give this place a second try in the next week or two and try different flavors. I hope management or owners read this post and change that ridiculous rule about their hand packed pints. Edit: Just received a response from ownership, nothing short of amazing. My wife and I will be heading out there to try some ice cream and have changed the review by 1 additional star just based on their amazing owner. read more

It's an ice cream shop with actual homemade ice cream what's not to love ! We stopped here one night after dinner it was very small inside hard to see all the items they offer it's kind of like a super small carvel. The staff was friendly and smiling, they offered to let my little ones try different flavors they had such a wide variety to choose from including sugar free soft serve and the hard ice cream make it difficult to decide. I got the cannoli simply delicious. 2 kids cones a shake and a single scoop adult cone was $17 not too bad. They have some benches outside to relax on it's too bad they don't have an area with umbrellas and tables as we would've sat a little bit longer. All in all kids and adults loved it ! read more

Thank the heavens I accidentally stumbled upon this place on Yelp. This place was absolutely delicious for a very reasonable price. This will be my new go to spot for ice cream on the island. Plenty of very flavorful homemade ice cream and a friendly and efficient staff to complement. I got a 3 scoop waffle cone, which is the standard there, for $7.50 including taxes. There was a long line but the staff worked the line down in a quick manner, keeping customers moving through the process.
