So I popped in with a friend (right before closing) and I wish I wish I WISH we arrived sooner! The…read morestaff (especially the woman who took our order) were friendly and efficient despite the last minute rush. The vibes were everything and you could come with a few people or even solo and enjoy a book, some pho, decor that honors anything and everything chill, and one of their deliciously addictive egg coffees. Yes, you read that correctly, EGG coffee. Iced Egg Coffee, to be more specific. It's sweet, satisfying, refreshing, and you'll want it again and again. The amount of times I've tried to mimic this at home is downright embarrassing...which means that another trip is in order! I have my eye on the Toffee Milk, Saigonese Shake, and Artichoke Refresher. The menu honors traditional Vietnamese fare and fusion, so everyone can find something to enjoy :D Would I come back? Definitely, and I'm bringing everyone. Well, 3 others, because that's all I can fit in my car; but I'm telling everyone :D Enjoy!

It's become a favorite spot for my daughter and me, and we've even hosted several hangouts for her friends there. It's the perfect low-key environment for a small group. The interior has a great vibe; kids (and likely plenty of adults) love making the origami cranes that decorate the room. My daughter and her friends always head straight for the traditional seating area with the pillows on the floor, though there are plenty of regular tables if you prefer the standard setup. On the menu, the Beef Banh Mi is a standout. It's easily the best you'll find in this part of town without making the trek out to the Eden Center. The meat is juicy, the roll is excellent, and they offer it with or without an egg. The secret stars of the menu, however, are the basil fries. They are excellent and come with a fantastic house-made dipping sauce that pulls it all together. While my daughter is the boba fan of the duo, I stick to the coffee and smoothies. Just be cautious with the Vietnamese coffee--if you aren't a seasoned veteran, that caffeine kick will have your heart racing for hours. The staff is consistently fast, friendly, and efficient. It's a local neighborhood staple that we'll keep coming back to. My only complaint is that they are not a coffee shop for early AM!

Their che is pretty decent too and I love their cassova with salted peanuts is SO good. You will absolutely find something if you stop by for a visit. Plus you get a free soy milk if you order over $35 (pretty sure but it's on their store as to what the amount is) of items. It might seem hectic upon arrival but it's really not. You wait your turn to get served and when you're done ordering they'll flash a number at you that you need to remember. Then you wait until your number is flashed by the cashier so you can pay and pick up. For those who don't want to deal with the hectic parking in Eden Center, stop by on a weekday in the later afternoon.

Vietnamese restaurants are generally not known for exceptional customer service. That's almost…read moreexpected. Unfortunately, this restaurant is no exception. I ordered two to-go chè ba màu (three-color desserts) and clearly asked multiple times for the shaved ice to be packed separately. The employee nodded, indicating she understood. When I got to my car and checked my order, there was no ice. So, in the July heat, I walked back inside and politely explained that my order was missing the ice. Instead of checking, the employee repeatedly insisted, "The ice is in the bag." I replied several times, "I already checked. There is no ice. Please give me my ice." She continued insisting it was there, as though I was trying to scam the restaurant out of ten cents' worth of ice. After several rounds of back-and-forth, another employee walked over... carrying a bag of ice. So yes, the ice had been forgotten all along. Instead of simply apologizing and handing me a replacement, they chose to argue with a paying customer over something that probably costs them pennies. They never say "I'm so sorry here's your ice and for your inconvenience pls accept our apologies and take this extra dessert, our complement for messing up the order". The restaurant itself feels chaotic. Their numbering and communication system between the order taker and the cashier clearly needs improvement. Whatever special instructions you give when ordering, you'd better repeat them again at the register or better yet, inspect your order before leaving. The problem is that the checkout area is so hectic that you almost feel rushed to move along. In my case, I felt like I was getting dirty looks for taking too long to verify my order worth over $60 so I checked it in my car instead which is how I discovered the missing ice. The disappointing part is that the food is outstanding. The chè was excellent, and that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Good food can bring customers in the door. Good customer service is what brings them back.

It's inside Tysons Corner Center on the second floor, so parking is just the usual mall parking. Easiest if you park 2nd floor food court parking then go up to 3rd floor garage and walk over the sky bridge. They always have fresh baked goods so it always smells so yummy when you walk in. There's seating if you want to hang out for a bit instead of just grabbing something and leaving. The staff is super helpful and welcoming, whether you're popping in for a quick snack or ordering a cake. I've ordered cakes from them for birthdays, graduations, and other celebrations, and they've always turned out great. I really like that their cakes are not too sweet (better for the Asian palette). Prices are fair too, which makes it even better. Their brown sugar boba latte is also sleeper good. Definitely recommend them whether you're at the mall or needing a cake.
