Oh my goodness. This matcha was LIFE CHANGING. I have never tasted anything so divine. It's as though I am drinking the nectar of the gods. This was the best $10 I have ever spent. I will never feel this level of euphoria and happiness again. I watched mournfully, tears dripping down my face, as the matcha dwindled away with each sip. Finishing it felt like stabbing myself in the heart. I am eagerly awaiting the next time I can make my pilgrimage to Tysons for this matcha.

This is my favorite matcha place - what they serve in terms of the matcha flavor and the mochi and anko (sweet red bean paste) has just the right combination to evoke the many matcha places in Japan or an authentic matcha dessert in a Japanese restaurant. The uji kintoki is the perfect combination of mochi, anko, intense matcha shaved ice. The service can be a bit slow when the mall is very busy, which it often is during weekends, and having this dessert while next to shoppers and a Victoria's Secret may not be the best setting, but if you're able to score a seat at the countertop and maybe avert your eyes from the busyness of the servers as they prepare everyone's order, this is truly one of the better matcha dessert places even though it is a kiosk in Tyson's

I'm really disappointed with the service I received. The soft serve provided was far below expectations. The staff showed little interest in helping, communication was poor, and basic courtesy was lacking. I also felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. For the price and the reputation of this business (compared to the one in Rockville, MD), I expected much better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place based on my experience. I hope management takes steps to improve their customer service. See what $7.50 gets you...hollow cup of soft serve

The Matcha Soft Serve here is so creamy and strong! For the price, they give you a lot as well! Definitely think this is one of the better matcha spots in town. I have been seeing the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte go viral online as well, and when we gave it a try, I do think it lived up to the hype. Located in Tysons Mall, I think this is an awesome spot for a quick sweet treat during your mall trip. It wasn't very crowded when we came on a weekday, so the service was quick. The little stall is cute as well, I do hope they are able to expand in the mall soon!

Checked out the matcha cafe stall in Tysons and left pretty underwhelmed. The drinks were overhyped and honestly just average--nothing that stood out in flavor or presentation. On top of that, the service was noticeably bad, which made the experience even less enjoyable. For the price and all the buzz, it really wasn't worth it. Plenty of other spots nearby do matcha better with friendlier service.

A great treat after shopping! I ordered the soft serve with chocolate dazzle on top! I have ordered the matcha latte and other drinks in the past.

Expensive Matcha teas that you can get either hot or cold. Enough said. For the number of people that were standing in line, the service was pretty good.

OMG! What a find!! I was just walking around Tyson's Corner mall which is huge and discovered this gem!! I was so happy as I go to a place in Honolulu that has matcha deliciousness!!! Now I found it here in Tysons Virginia!!! I was able to enjoy a scrumptious refreshing dessert while walking around the mall. I totally look forward to my visits here more than ever!!!! I highly recommend this place if you love Matcha like I do!!

I've been on a hunt in the DMV to find the best matcha spots and sadly this one wasn't it! I ordered the medium iced matcha latte with oat milk and immediately regretted it! You can see in the photos how they didn't mix the matcha well because there's chunks at the bottom of the drink. As a result it tasted like plain oat milk and I was drinking lumps of matcha and ended up throwing it out. If you're looking for ceremonial grade matcha, I'd skip out on this place!

Great spot for everything matcha! I got the mixed soft serve ice cream, which was matcha & vanilla! I got a good amount of ice cream for $6!

Had the S2 option on the menu with mix flavor. The cup had soft serve on the top. The bottle of the cup was filled with some cake like thing, bean paste, corn flakes like thing, jelly like thing and syrup. It was interesting but personally I think I should have just stuck to ice cream in a cup. The matcha had a very strong flavor, which was good. It was littler bitter though compared to other matcha drinks, cakes or treats I have had. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that.

The ice cream was so good! A little pricy for a soft serve, I believe I paid about $10 but the booth is located in Tyson's mall next to Victoria's Secret. I'm glad it's not in the main hall so there's less foot traffic behind you as you order. Good for when you get too hot walking around the mall! Very chill for a little mall booth!

High-quality Matcha! My friend and I were exploring Tysons and stopped by Matcha Cafe Maiko. Having seen people around the mall order the soft serve and matcha drinks for a few years now, I was so excited to finally try for myself! I got a Matcha Latte and it was the perfect blend of the powder and sweetened whole milk. The Matcha itself wasn't overpowered by the sweetener or the milk - a problem I usually run into. A very strong taste that left a soft, savory aftertaste. I really enjoyed its earthy notes, non-bitterness, and smooth taste. Honestly one of the best Matchas I've had in the area! Will be back to enjoy more Matcha and their soft serve!

Okay Tea's'n You, your vibe is very cute, very demure, very mindful, and very tasty!…read more I ended up visiting this location because literally every other matcha shop I wanted to try was closed and wasn't opening until 11:30 a.m. Since my usual spots failed me, I decided to give Tea's'n You a shot. I'm so glad I did. Their matcha is top tier. I ordered two regular matchas with regular sugar, one blueberry matcha with regular sugar, a regular iced coffee, four cupcakes (strawberry shortcake and mango), and a sesame egg tart. Now before y'all start judging me, these were not all for me . My back is getting big, I don't need all that to add to it lol. Everything was packaged securely and presented beautifully. What impressed me even more was the customer service. Orders are placed on a kiosk that sits a little away from the staff, so I honestly didn't think anyone was paying much attention to who ordered what. Imagine my surprise when one of the staff members walked my order directly to me with a kind and friendly smile instead of leaving it in the pickup area. That level of attention is impressive. Do you know how hard it is to make customers feel seen with minimal human interaction? Kudos to the team for pulling that off. Now, while I wanted to give five stars, there was one small miss. The cupcakes were a bit dry, and the mango filling wasn't quite my favorite. However, the sesame egg tart was hitting on every level. My only regret was not buying more of them and somehow convincing someone to hand over the recipe lol. Parking was easy and located right out front. I will definitely be back to try more items. My team loved everything I brought back, so I don't think they're going to let me get away with not bringing them more next time.

Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh. Consistently delicious. We'll be dropping in on another turn and burn later this month...

The Pink Drink with housemade syrup, coconut milk and strawberries was refreshing and tasty. It was my pick from the Strawberry Lemonade and Dragon fruit Lemonade. The Lemonades were a bit too sweet. I ordered the food to dine in and it was packaged to go. I wish the food could be prepared for dining in. It's a pet peeve of mine to see all of the grease oozing out of fries in a brown bag. There were also Styrofoam plates and plastic straws, wish there were more environmental-friendly products. Might be back for brunch if there's a dine-in option.

The flavors rotate seasonally with different combo twist flavors and there's now a Mini 6 oz option as well as the 9 oz classic option with unlimited toppings! There are interesting seasonal flavors that are fun to try: - Honey Dew & Guava Cheesecake Twist - The summer flavor and sweetness of the honey dew complemented the exotic guava cheesecake flavor. - Sticky Mango Rice and Matcha Twist - While I enjoyed both flavors while the savoriness of the matcha helped balance out the sweetness of the Mango, they didn't pair that well together. I would get the Matcha separately and pair with Oreos and chocolate. - Peach Honey Goat Cheese - My favorite summer! The unique flavor is complex with a bit sweetness and a touch of savory. You can taste all of the ingredients. - Sakura: The pink cherry spring flavor wasn't that sweet and a bit tangy. - Kyoto Taro Cheesecake: A great combo of Taro and Matcha Cheesecake twist that's not too sweet and flavorful Ube Cheesecake flavor - A bit bland with a subtle cheesecake flavor. - Watermelon Basil - Fun flavor to try and tastes like a sour watermelon jollyrancher. It pairs well with the Peach Honey Goat Cheese flavor. - Black Sesame - Grey, savory flavor with a hint of bitterness. - Cookies and Cream flavor is a bit bland. - Classic Ube & Pandan Twist: I always resort back to my favorite default sweet and coconutty flavor. The Taikayi waffle cones are delicious. As the stuffed Taikyai is quite decadent, getting it hollow without any filling is the best way to go with the ice cream. Any type of filling with the ice cream becomes overload of sweetness. The Wicked Pandan Float (from the glass cooler) was delicious with layers of green coconut Pandan cheesecake custard pudding on a bed of Oreo Crumbs drizzled with salted caramel dulche leche. All of the flavors pair well together. I wasn't a fan of the Ube Dulce Leche or the Ube Oreo Floater. The Ube custard was a bit bland and didn't like the jelly topping. There's also gorgeous seating outside since it can get crowded. For food, you order from the front and they'll call you when the food is ready. We ordered the dubai gelato and pistachio lokmas. Both were presented tastefully to make sure our eyes and cameras wanted to eat before our stomachs. The dubai gelato was a quality dessert with a good ratio of milk: cream. The pistachio flavor was evident on top, but it was just a kinda tart vanilla ice cream with toppings. I did like it, however, and it paired well with the lokmas. The lokmas were fried to perfection, a nice amount of chewy, and covered with a good ratio of pistachio cream. They were a decent size and conducive to sharing. The prices of everything, overall, was pretty expensive, but the quality definitely made up for it. I'd recommend this cafe to someone looking for a unique sweet treat, catching up with a group of girl friends of 2-4 people, or for a first date!
