Im taking one star because I didn't know the minimum for credit card was $10 dollars and I had to wait about 15 min for my pandan pudding sitting there while they were sending everyone with their foods and I was on a rush (topped with the fact I had to buy extra stuff to make it to $12 so I can pay). Ended up trying their onion and mushroom fried tofu and their lemongrass & pepper tofu as well the pandan tofu pudding with red beans and jackfruit. My first thoughts were that the mushroom and onion tofu is the superior flavor of all of them, it's so good and umami! I inhaled all of them on my way to work because the smell was so tempting. The lemongrass definitely needed more flavor, it was barely there, not even that spicy, it was really milder than I expected it. I gotta say that my tofu pudding ended up being my dinner because I was so full of 1lb of fried tofu I had for lunch, it doesn't look as pretty or appetizing, but it was really filling and actually helped my craving for something sweet but not so "sugary". When I got it, was quite warm, so I put it in the fridge and emptied the content on a mug and warm it in the microwave? I don't know how you are supposed to eat this but I did liked warm hahah I'd gladly come back and have this again and the just the fried onion mushroom tofu! (As well the sticky rice and the giant fish cake!) The place is a carry out, so there is no way you can sit and eat there!

Still come back any time I'm in NoVa. It's everything I want in a takeout place. Everything on the menu is amazing. Mushroom tofu is my favorite and their durian sticky rice hits every time. The desserts are all great and I highly recommend their soy milk. It's takeout only, you order deli style, and they give you a number after you order. The cashiers grab the food and call your number to check out. They take Visa and Mastercard but discount for cash. It's an old school Asian joint so don't expect white glove, maid cafe service. You're there to get food and get out so they're not happy if you take forever waffling on an order. The lines get long so take that time to decide what you want. I love everything about this place.

Organized chaos is how I'd describe my experience here at Thanh Son Tofu, but the food is for sure worth everyone ounce of it. Packed into this gigantic shopping center shared with many mom and pop shops, Asian eateries serving authentic food from their heritage, locals busting out their karaoke just out in the open, and as well as a huge commercial grocery store, Thanh Son Tofu draws the local Vietnamese community and fans of the cuisine out every weekend to freshen up their stock of soy products and food items to complement their meals. This lot is extremely popular and nearly impossible to find parking but if you're patient enough or willing to park further (think like next mall over), you should be set. In any case, if you don't come early enough, prepare to walk a bit. After the chaos that is the parking and you happen to find a spot, head toward the shop where you'll already notice a line forming out the door and winding along the block. Get in line and embrace the crowd; the line moves fast and it'll give you time to decide what you'll want to order. Be prepared to order what you want by the time you make it up there as there will not be enough time or patience for you to choose on the spot! Okay, you've made it in the store, now what? The real chaos begins! Once you've stepped foot through the doorway, it's an immediate culture shock. There is a steady flowing line up until you reach the food displays. At that point, a staff member will flag you down, give you a number (remember this number!), and start taking your order. Most of the staff members don't necessarily speak the native Vietnamese language, however, most of the dishes are labeled in Vietnamese. They also aren't super fluent in English. And the place is extremely drowned in shouting of orders. Here is the conundrum - my best advice, just point, but there's a flaw here as some of the items are further down the line, so hopefully they follow you along to what you're pointing at or hopefully they understood enough of what you said to have your order correct. After all this, you must now stand in a separate line at the register for them to ring you up. But remember that number they mentioned to you? You better have it handy if you want the items you so diligently pointed or shouted out. Once you've paid, the scent of calm is just out the door and you're home free to enjoy your delicious bounty. As for recommendations, I couldn't tell you the names of them all but the silky tofu dessert and its pandan variation are heavenly and unique (and what we primarily came in for). The light sweetness from the syrup brings it all together and you can absolutely taste the freshness with each bite. They have quite a few fried items as well but they sell out and aren't restocked fast enough (we wanted their fried tofu but it was all gone and they quoted us 30 minutes to an hour to wait for the next available batch since they were already back ordered). Overall, this was truly a memorable experience for better or worse, but as a true foodie, Thanh Son Tofu is worth every bit of chaos for the blissful meal you'll have afterwards. We hope to return again soon so we can try a bit more of what they have to offer but hands down, their silky tofu dessert is a must get, especially on those warmer days. Channel your inner zen as this place will test you, but you will be pleased with whatever you end up with!

This business has been around for decades. Known for their tofu and che; this is a staple for the Vietnamese community of Northern Virginia. I rarely come to the Eden Center without stopping to get something from here. Please note that the owners do take a few weeks off once a year for vacation. They do post on the door.

Chè, #10. Mix of grass jelly, mung bean, water chestnut with tapioca, jelly, ice and coconut milk. 16oz. So yummy

The shop is a little chaotic but controlled. They sell a variety of Vietnamese desserts including chè and bánh and of course tofu both savory and sweet style. The fried tofu is fresh and good, both the lemongrass-chili and mushroom-onion. I observed the workers bringing out trays of food piping hot to refill the items. Prices are reasonable. If you order $35+, you're gifted a 1/2 gallon of soy milk that you know they just made, because it's still warm. Minimum $10 purchase if you use credit card. Staff was courteous. Everything was tasty and highly recommend this place.

The best fried tofu you'll eat! They have different flavors, with garlic, mushrooms, and other amazing flavors. Other fried food that I'll be sure to try on my next visit.

Love this place. It's so rare to find fresh tofu products like this. You can order ahead of time online. Brace yourself for a long line but the line usually moves along quickly. My go to order is usually: 1lb meat rice roll 1 fresh tofu block 1 large tofu pudding with ginger sauce 1 cassava and coconut Pina colada smoothie with rainbow jelly Lychee smoothie with rainbow jelly Half gallon Unsweetened soy milk If your purchase is above $30 then you get a free half gallon of soy milk sweetened or unsweetened or Pandan flavored soy milk. I appreciate that the Pandan items here aren't sickly sweet. The Pandan tofu pudding comes with a nice coconut sauce that's really yummy and not too sweet. Come here and surprise yourself with something new!

Thanh son is iconic sweet rice shop in the DMV area. They have all types of sweet rice from savory to sweet to plain. From desserts with three color dessert to banana vietnamese pudding. Besides the sweet rice and dessert, they are also know for their crispy tofu. *Sweet rice are always hot and flavorful, you can't go wrong with any of the choices. *Dessert are the right size, not too big and not too small, perfect to bring home or bring on a road trip *tofu : there are three types , lemongrass and pepper, mushroom or plain. Great for vegetarian to get their tofu ingredients here. Currently selling for $5/lb. This store also have fish cakes and bao buns and egg rolls that are out of this world! They also sell freshly made soy milk here with two flavors: pandan and regular. Keep in mind line is almost ALWAYS long so come prepare for a wait. They do take credit cards which not a lot of place in eden do so no worries about that! Come prepare tk spend lots of money here if you love sweet rice and che!

Literally no idea but so good

Everything about this place is amazing! There is sometimes a line (for good reason) but usually moves pretty fast. We typically come for the boba, it is always cooked to perfection and not super chewy like other places. Their smoothies are great usually come with some jelly and boba but i havent gotten one of those in a while so dont hold me to it. Ive recently started getting some type of dessert that I have no idea is inside, i think some jelly, something a little crunchy, but all delicious! It comes with this white sauce (also dont know what it is lol) but i threw a little in my cup as well. The tofu is also great for $5/pd! Its typically crunchy and yummy especially when hot. If you spend a minimum of $30, you get free soy milk. $10 minimum for credit card! Come check it out

We've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. We always buy the tofu, the chè (dessert), and always spend $35 to get the pandon soy milk.

    1/2 pound Mushroom Onion Tofu - $2.50

Took a bus to the Eden Center on a DC visit recently and stopped in at Thanh Son Tofu. The line was long but they have a huge team and they move fast. Inside is kind of organized chaos! Someone called to me and I ordered half a pound of mushroom onion tofu and a small order of tofu pudding. They gave me a number and I waited by the cashiers at the front to call my number to ring me up. Even with the line, I was in and out in less than 8 minutes. The tofu pudding was perfect. I don't get to try it often and it's always a treat. Their mushroom onion tofu was a standout. And I think it was only $2.50! Savory, crispy, and slightly greasy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'd love to go back and try one of their many flavors of sticky rice next time.

In Eden center, this is probably the most crowded place. It's a take out place with all kind of Vietnamese goodness. You can buy cassava in coconut milk (my absolute favorite), different types of sticky rice, tofu with sweet ginger sauce (prefer original over pandan), soy milk, fried tofu, fried fish paste, etc. For every $35, you get a free bottle of soy milk, so plan accordingly.

We love mushroom tofu, put it in hot pot or other dishes, it tastes so delicious and fresh. Recommended. 这家现炸豆腐泡的店有许多美食,好吃,不贵,推荐。 豆腐质量保证,所以人们排队也要买,店家是良心制作豆腐及美食,大赞!我们常常买mushroom tofu 做火锅吃。

That was a big mistake because Truong Tien is inside and it is amazing! We've been eating this sauce for over a decade and it never gets old. If you love bold, authentic flavors, this alone is worth the visit. Consistently friendly and attentive staff - over all these years, the service has remained excellent. They recognize regulars, are genuinely warm and welcoming, and clearly take pride in their food and customer relationships. Plenty of parking - a practical bonus that makes every visit hassle-free. The consistency in food quality, the authentic flavors, the warm hospitality - all of it has kept us coming back year after year. The guy seating people was very polite and friendly, and our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Bun Mam and Mi Nam Vang, and both were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and came out super hot, which I love. There are plenty of condiments on the table if needed, but honestly the broth is so flavorful that you do not really need them. They also give a great portion of protein, which I really appreciate. The place was packed and clearly very popular, and I can see why. I will definitely continue to support Hai Duong and hope they get even more business. And I appreciate that they got so much better compared to during COVID times, Great work, Hai Duong!
