I had one of the most disturbing experiences at Snow Tavern in Colerain. From the moment I arrived, I was treated differently and questioned in the parking lot by the owner, while others came and went freely. Inside, the manager refused to serve me until I could "prove" I had a way to pay -- something I've never experienced anywhere else. I insisted on being served as a matter of principle, paid for my order, and left it untouched. I refuse to support or consume anything from a place filled with such hostility. Discrimination has no place in 2025, and I hope others think twice before giving this establishment their business. read more

Terrible service. The guy who claims to be the manager has no clue how to talk to customers. They start cleaning right next to you at the end of the night, one hour before they close, to let you know to get out. The food is mediocre to nasty depending on what day you go there. They've lost a lot of business from my friends and me. Never going back. read more

A group of ten, neighborhood women went here for lunch on a Friday. One had the day's special (Chicken wrap), two had fajitas, several had hamburgers, two had salads. Everyone liked their meals. Two of the people who ordered hamburgers were especially happy that they were cooked just as each person had ordered them (Medium rare and well done.) The spice level of the Taco Salad was nice, but not over done. Most, spice-leary, westsiders would have been able to enjoy it. The Cob Salad came with several nice slices of avocado. The potato chips were crunchy, wavy and cooked till a bit brown. The waitress was pleasant and took orders quickly, refilled glasses, and brought bills without having to be asked. They serve Coke Products. I know a lot of folks have given this place terrible marks. We had a delightful experience and even saw a Great Gray Heron on the lake. read more

The ambiance was nice! The draft glass of imported heffenwizer was cold and delicious. The service at lunch was average. The BLT was a bit dry probably because they included a third piece of toast in the center , like a club sandwich . After removing that extra piece, there was ample bacon to make a nice BLT, however more tomato (and more flavorful), lettuce and mayo would have been nice. read more

I've been eating at Snow's for a long time. I always get the full cod log, hot slaw & mashed potatoes. In past I've given it 5 stars, but not this time. Cod log was smaller than full log in past, overcooked so VERY dry with tiny lemon slice made for a drink, thus no juice. Hot slaw had VERY little bacon, crumbs at best. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant with a little spice to make them look like homemade which in past they tasted like real potatoes. OVERALL...a HUGE disappointment! Last night was our first time visiting Snow's. Based on the servers recommendation my husband ordered a fish log and i ordered the $26 ribeye. I did not eat the hot slaw, ate a good portion of the baked potato but the steak was so tough i sent it back. The server apologized and took my while plate and asked if i wanted anything else. By this time my husband was half way through his meal and i said no, I'm good, just take it off my bill. After all the inconvenience to out dinner Snow's had the nerve to charge me for the hot slaw and the half eaten baked potato. Unbelievable! Steve the manager is amazing and so is his staff. The owner and her daughter are very very rude! If you have children don't come here. They will bitch and complain about them. Oh and Michelle (owner) I heard what you said under your breath. I have excellent hearing. You both need some schooling in etiquette and service management. What you guys did today was deplorable. 1. If you see a child outside having fun and NOT bugging anyone DON'T yell at there parents. COME TALK TO THEM LIKE A HUMAN BEING! 2. Don't start giving the wife death stares (i saw that). My wife and I stopped in here a few months ago. Seat yourself which never seems to be good thing. After waiting for about 10 minutes, a young guy named Alex finally came over and took our drink order. Five minutes later he brought our drinks and menu's and asked if we needed anything else. Happy, positive servers, food looked fine, and so nice to have a view of the lake from almost every seat in the place. I didn't eat there so I can't much for the food. Some acquaintances we're both eating the salmon salad, a nice large piece of salmon, clearly not over cooked, over a large bed of greens etc. They always get it, and always love it. The third person had a burger I think. I didn't eat Prices are a little high but probably commensurate with the clienteles expectations. $19 for salmon (entree with sides) $11 for a burger. I was there at lunchtime on a Thursday. Practically dead at 11:30. At 12:30 pm, A modest or fair numbers of tables filled, seemingly commensurate with a number of servers present The bartender herself makes vegetable soup from a homemade recipe that she won't divulge. Has me curious. (It wasn't on the menu that I was there.) Loads of complaints from other reviewers. But I think those are mostly purple showing up after golf or in the evening when it's crowded, etc. During the day, this place is just fine if you're OK with the pricing. Last two visits left us very disappointed. We sat outside both times, maybe the service is better inside. 8/27/21 at 5. patio was crowded. After waiting 15 mins I went in and ordered our drinks at the bar. Another 10 min the waiter came over we ordered. My wife asked for a glass of water . Waiter Actually said I'd like one too . We never got water. Staff member brought out food . Never saw the waiter again untill he brought the bill. We decided to try again last night. 6pm , not crowded. Took 10 mins for waitress to come over. Placed drink order and food , both arrived timely. My meal was missing the salad . Let waitress know, that was last time we saw her untill we she brought the bill. Said she was sorry about the salad. It is a shame service has become so poor, we used to like going here. read more

Wow! So this was my first time at Snows and it was awesome! First of all the inside it great. Love the set up. Cannot wait until the weather is warmer and can sit on the outside patio because holy cow, it's huge and awesome! I went on a Sunday for brunch and got the hangover bowl with biscuits and gravy, a fried egg, home fries, cheese and added goetta. It was seriously amazing. So many flavors. Our waitress was great. She was always checking in and making sure everything was tasting good and always refilling our drink orders. We also got the spicy cheese curds and spicy fried green beans for an app and they were fantastic! I can't wait to go back!! read more

I am thoroughly confused by these reviews. I absolutely LOVE this bar and cannot wait until summer. Initially, the bartender was very nice and welcoming. She was very relatable, and that made me want to stay instead of searching for another place to drink. Honestly, when I entered the bar, it was on a one- drink, trial basis. The bartender, Morgan, was very kind and convinced us to stay. We ended up staying the entire night AND eating two excellent dinners. We decided to eat because we smelled all the other amazing foods that were emerging from the kitchen. I ended up ordering a Black and Blue Burger with potato slices. It was good, better than normal bar food. I added ranch and ketchup. I will definitely come back. read more

We enjoy playing music trivia each week at Snow's. While trivia is a great time, unfortunately the food is not very good. We order different menu items each week hoping to find a winner. For the most part the food is very bland or dry and bland. We have tried various menu items such as the open face roast beef, meatloaf, chicken fettuccine alfredo, and grilled chicken sandwiches to name a few. The chicken is always overcooked. The meatloaf just looks sad and the rest is very bland. The waitress never asks how everything is-it's like she just knows. I hope they work to improve their food as trivia is so much fun. read more

Came back for the second time and it's safe to say I probably won't be returning.. Stopped in with 3 buddies after we got off the golf course. Ordered beer. Beer came quick. Ordered food. I ordered 6 wings, a burger and a salad. Salad came out first (which I wanted). About 10min later everyone's food came to the table, except my wings. The waitress forgot to ring in my wings. Okay, no problem. I'll wait for them while I eat my burger. Ate the burger and really enjoyed it. 15min goes by and still no wings. I finally catch the waitress' attention and tell her to just cancel the order of the wings. She comes back in a min with the wings. By then I was pretty annoyed on how long it took to get all my food. But I ate the wings. When it comes time to do the checks (we all paid separate), that's when we really started to have issues. For the life of her, the waitress couldn't get our checks right. Took her FOUR times to come back to our table to figure out what food/beers go on what checks. And I couldn't believe that they didn't comp the wings due to making me wait almost 20min for them. I was visually annoyed and losing my patience but I didn't make a scene about it because I didn't want to embarrass the waitress. All In all, got charged for the wings and one of my friends checks still wasn't correct but after an hour of being there, we just wanted to get the hell out of there. I can sum up this place in one word , Rude. The owner is rude, my wife and i loved this place but we cant go back. The hostess gets mad if you want to sit outside. They threw water and soda on a geese for protecting her eggs. The last time i tried to give them another chance was Sunday. I was so happy today it was the first weekend for soccer and when it is soccer season every sat night I order prime rib from snows and take it home because I'm beat from running I even pay more money for a bigger cut but today my 3 yr tradition came to an end because Steve the manager wouldn't see his way through to letting me pay cash when I got there to pick up my order as I've always done I have always paid cash and tried to explain that to him but his only suggestion was for me to come in open up a tab and drink while I wait pretty darn customer unfriendly I always brag about the prime rib from snows and many people I have told have gone there but that pretty much ended today with some pretty bad customer service and an even worse suggestion as to what I should do ! I tried to explain to Steve that I've been doing this for a long time but he seemed not to care one way or another he was more interested in his policy than a customer had he done that I would have got there introduced myself and would have probably continued to do so every sat again but he was more interested in standing his ground I'm tired after soccer I just want to pick up my food go home and eat there but Steve just couldn't see his way through over a 35$ order sure maybe that's not a lot but I loved coming there to get it . Today I had longhorn instead and they were more than happy to let me pay cash when I got there I'm just one person he probably won't even care after reading this but how many more will you lose like me and we're loyal as well ? My boyfriend and I had our first date at Snow's Tavern, therefore, we continue to come back, despite the mediocre service & food. Whenever we go into Snow's, we make sure not have high expectations and can often laugh about the inevitable bizarre serving situations we always encounter. Don't get me wrong, the servers are always pleasant, I just often wonder if any of them have had any type of serving experience in the past. It's typical to wait forever for drinks/food, and to not be checked on too often. ANYWHO - they have a GREAT back patio which overlooks the lake and makes for an awesome dinner view. During my most recent visit, my boyfriend had a pork tenderloin, which he described as slightly overcooked and probably not worth the price. I had a fried chicken sandwich and it was decent. The french fries are great! The best thing about Snow's is their variety of craft beer options - I'll keep going back for those! read more

We just returned from dinner at Snow's. It was for my husband's 70th birthday. We had debated on going here or Long Horn & we both wished we would have chosen Long Horn. My husband ordered the meatloaf, green beans & mashed potatoes. I had ordered the salmon with rice & hot slaw. The ONLY thing, of the food that was any good, was the hot slaw. NOTHING even looked good. It was not even appetizing to look at. The salmon tasted fishy (& I have eaten a lot of salmon in my days) it was pale to look at. The rice was incredibly plain. My husbands meatloaf looked, just like pressed ground beef. He had to ask for his plate to be heated, since all was cold & for some gravy. The meat was reheated & he did get some gravy, but everything else was still cold. The potatoes were instant also. The only good thing was the hot slaw & the window seat overlooking the lake. Just a shame to have this anytime but we wanted to have a nice ending to our fun day at the park with our daughter & grandkids. read more

Not the greatest experience tonight for dinner. I ordered the shrimp skewers for $16. It came with a very small side salad, all white lettuce, and not the dressing I requested. The shrimp was terribly overcooked and tough. It was served with a chili sauce which was good but the accompanying white rice was just that.....plain white rice, no seasoning, no bits of veggies...nothing. It was all served on a plain white plate....white shrimp, white rice on a white plate. Even a piece of parsley would have helped the presentation, but probably not the taste. Overpriced, poor quality, will not return. read more
