There seems to be a high level of integrity within this business, from front desk, courtesy driver, mechanics, to service advisor. I feel very confident with the level of expertise and professionalism within this auto service center. Future list of services required was also provided along with cost based on age and performance of my vehicle, not just a generic template as some auto service centers provide. With this information I am able to budget accordingly. I was informed when completed, actually, sooner than I expected, and it was delivered back to me by 2 nice, funny guys. After they completed the work, they left the vehicle in brake maintenance/service mode, which meant I did not have normal braking operation. When I contacted them about it, their solution was essentially to take it to Ford. I took their advice and contacted Ford. Ford specifically told me not to drive the vehicle in that condition because it was not operating normally. That put me in an incredibly difficult position because, like most working-class people, I don't have another vehicle sitting around that I can just use. At that point, I decided to take it to a Ford dealership to have the problem they created properly diagnosed and repaired. While I was actually driving to Ford, Brake Check called me and told me they couldn't get my vehicle in until Monday morning. Then came the part that really frustrated me: they insisted they had done nothing wrong because, in their words, "technically they changed the brakes." That's not customer service. That's refusing to take responsibility for a problem that occurred immediately after their work. The service was awful, the attitude was even worse, and I felt like they simply didn't care that their mistake left me without a properly functioning vehicle. If you are trusting a shop with something as important as your brakes, you should be able to expect the job to be completed correctly and safely--not be told to take the vehicle somewhere else when their work leaves it in an unsafe condition. This place needs new management and a serious change in how they treat customers. I would strongly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else. I will be warning as many people as possible about my experience so they can avoid going through the same thing. Absolutely the worst automotive service experience I've had.

Called Joey at 5pm and he immediately had a tow truck contact ready (Allen's 24/7 Towing, also outstanding, 20 minute response time in downtown San Antonio). Dropped the car off after hours and Joey called first thing the next morning with full diagnostics already done. He found the high water from that morning's commute had pushed into the ignition coil wells, where an existing valve cover gasket leak had already let oil pool. That combination took out a coil and fouled the plugs. No upselling, no scare tactics, just a clear explanation of what failed and why, with a straightforward repair plan: valve cover gasket, all 5 spark plugs, and the one failed coil. Communication was constant throughout, and he had it ready Wednesday just before close. Even gave me the military discount, sent me home with a thank-you note and a gift bag, and walked me through exactly what to watch for to keep this Jetta running well long-term. At 70k miles on a 2010, he made it clear this car has plenty of life left in it if maintained right and that's exactly the kind of honest, customer-first advice that earns repeat business. This is what a real repair shop should look like: transparent diagnosis, fair pricing, zero pressure, and genuine care for the customer beyond just the transaction.
