This is my 2nd time using Total True Automotive, this was more extensive, (expensive) shock absorbers, suspension control arm, blah, blah ...etc. Way above my pay grade! Nick Tamone is the one. He explained everything plainly and thoroughly. I actually thought he was the mechanic performing the work. He speaks with confidence, using laymen terms. There seems to be a high level of integrity within this business, from front desk, courtesy driver, mechanics, to service advisor. I feel very confident with the level of expertise and professionalism within this auto service center. Future list of services required was also provided along with cost based on age and performance of my vehicle, not just a generic template as some auto service centers provide. With this information I am able to budget accordingly. I was informed when completed, actually, sooner than I expected, and it was delivered back to me by 2 nice, funny guys. For me, it's expensive maintaining the integrity of my car, for longevity sake, however, with Total True Automotive, I can rest that the work will be performed expertly and with integrity. read more

The initial visit with schertz auto service was good , but that's about as far as that went. The company gave us a full estimate as we projected around the budget that was expected. Unfortunately we were given an expectation of time to have it completed and they missed that time frame by days. Being called 5 minutes before closing and asked if we were close enough to pick it up. Knowing that wasn't an option as I had waited all day with the information Christi provided saying it would be done that morning. The communication was great except every time they called it was to inform me that they weren't going to do what they said. I do not recommend this place unless you have a lot of time. My husband has had 2 recent bad experiences with this business. He had brought his truck to Schertz Auto in June for repairs with a specific repair he needed. The mechanic told him he didn't need it, but needed other repairs instead. After paying thousands of dollars on other repairs, the mechanic told him that he actually does need to repair what he had initially asked to have repaired. The work done was completed well enough, but after spending thousands of dollars on repairs he didn't exactly want and then to be told he actually does need what he had initially inquired about sets a bad tone. Then here at the beginning of July. My husband brought his truck here for a simple alignment. Mostly because they advertise their alignments on their sign out front and are suppose to do good work. We brought the truck in at opening, 7am, for the alignment and needed it done early because he was driving to Dallas that same day for work. They assured him it would be done in a matter of hours. Around noon, 5 hrs later, he hadn't heard back from them so my husband called to check on it. The young girl at the front didn't have any info but told him the mechanic was working on it. Then about an hour later she called back to tell him they hadn't completed anything, and couldn't do the alignment because two bolts were damaged and needed to be replaced. That the 2 bolts would cost him $300 to be replaced and that it now wouldn't be ready until 5pm. My husband was upset that the truck sat there for 5+ hours before someone decided to give him an update and the fact that he had called to get an update and the girl couldn't give him a straight answer. Then to only to be told it was going to cost another $300 for two bolts and another 5 hrs to complete. My husband opted to pick up the truck without the alignment being completed by Schertz Auto and took it to Firestone in front of Walmart in town. Not only did Firestone replace the bolts but they had to go and get the right ones from another location, and then replaced them, and they did so at no extra cost. We explained what Schertz tried to charge us for it. The guy at Firestone was shocked, and explained that bolt replacements were standard with alignments. read more

Words can't express how I feel about this business. Almost every review I had read in regards to them has mentioned that they can be a bit pricey, but let me tell you, every cent is worth their business. First off, ever since I started using them, I have almost always worked with Cristi. She has been absolutely amazing during my car journey with them. She has worked with me getting loaners as needed and has dealt with authorizations involving my mechanical issues and oil changes. Her customer service has definitely been above and beyond. They keep you up to date throughout the entire service and send pictures of everything going on. Very communicative to say the very least. Secondly, today I had dealt with a different service agent, David. We had a minor hiccup but so far he has been amazing and has done everything he can to get things taken care of. I love that they don't force a bunch of stuff on you and make what needs to be done a top priority. He even made recommendations to help save me money in the process. I also had a complaint that I couldn't figure how to explain in person so they sent Kevin (one of the techs)out with me to help understand the situation. He assured me that everything seemed normal but still checked out everything to be on the safe side. So far everyone has been amazing, friendly, and has gone above and beyond and I am sure the entire crew is just the same. And to think it all began with a state inspection! read more

Beth, my service advisor and her team were very very transparent, professional, courteous and customer orientated. Beth and her team were very thorough when it came to the auto service and what needed to be done. They love what they do and it shows. I took my vehicle to this shop for a very specific issue. A vacuum leak easily determined by OBD II diagnosis. I had already run it on my scanner and saw the lean codes. A obvious vacuum leak. Probably needing the manifold removed at worst, but could have been a simple leaky vacuum hose. But no, instead them being straight forward, I got an email with an estimate for 10 different other things that I never asked them to inspect. They wanted to replace my struts which were new, they wanted to replace my spark plugs which only had a few thousand miles on them and wanted to charge me over $700 dollars to replace those 8 $5.00 spark plugs, then a coolant system flush, brake system flush, fuel system flush and on and on and on!. They wanted to charge me over $6400.00 worth of work on an old truck that I very clearly told them I did not want to spend a lot of money on, and simply wanted to know what the lean code was on the engine. I went to this shop because they had good reviews online. Well, if you have a ton of money to waste on a lot of things you don't really need done to your car. then by all means use this shop to enrich the owners! Here's how they get you. They want you to sign a full system diagnostic check that costs $162.00, then they tell you that you need all of this work done on "critical issues," If you don't know anything about auto repair then you may fall victim to their scam! I tell you this straight up as truth! I've worked on cars most all of my life. I just needed an honest estimate to have a vacumm leak repaired because I can afford to have it done by someone else instead of doing it myself. But, I was totally shocked by this shops deceptive tactics. I would have had the work needed done with them, the manifold vacuum issue, but because of their efforts to rip me off, I decided to go somewhere else to have it done at a reasonable rate, $570 total instead of $1425! The truck runs great now! I've read the other BAD reviews, they say the same thing. And of course, I expect the management of this business to give there usual blah balh about wanting to please their customers and sowwy sowwy sowwy BS, but that does not change anything!
