I started as a new patient in April and submitted my insurance information at intake, as requested. A week later I had a filling done. When the bill arrived, insurance had covered almost none of it, leaving me with a $657.80 balance on services that should have been substantially covered. The reason: this office is out-of-network with every insurance company. That was never disclosed to me, not at intake, not before treatment, not anywhere I could find. It's not on their website. It's not in a single review here. Their Yelp listing says they "take insurance." When I called the office to ask about it, I was told, "Everyone knows we're out-of-network" -- as if that's public knowledge somehow available nowhere in writing. Separately, X-rays were done at that first visit without the office requesting records from my previous dentist. It turned out I wasn't yet due for X-rays under my insurance's schedule, so that cost also landed entirely on me. I know it's a patient's job to verify network status, and I'll do that every time from now on. But an office that collects your insurance card at the door and never mentions it doesn't work with any insurer is leaving out something patients need to make an informed decision.

I do not know what guarantee means. 18 months after the 3rd procedure, this allegedly repaired tooth abscessed, and when I pushed on my swollen gums- the tooth finally fell out of my mouth. In reality, I could have had it pulled for 100 bucks rather than pay 1000's and endure the hassle I went through. It has been many years now, I sure hope Pulsipher has improved.
