Sorry in advance for the essay review but I think it's important to share my experience with Sal at SNS Auto. I am based in California and purchased a 2006 Dodge Dakota SLT TRX4 with a 4.7 High Output engine in February of 2021 from SNS Auto. Communication- from start to finish Sal has been responsive, communicative and professional. He was open and honest with me regarding all issues, inspections and maintenance and very detailed when negotiating price. As a potential out-of-state customer, Sal also took the time to set up a virtual (FaceTime) to allow me the opportunity to thoroughly inspect the vehicle (as much as possible through FaceTime). It took roughly an hour and half but Sal showed me every single good and bad detail (scratches, paint condition, vehicle idle, engine compartment) about the truck and anything I asked him to show or hear he complied happily. He even crawled on his hands knees to show me the undercarriage of the vehicle for like 10 minutes while it was running so I can observe if any leaks, heavy rust, etc., etc. His level of honesty and overall communication has been amazing. Customer Service- Sal is a natural and humble servant to his customers. At no point did I ever feel uncomfortable or taken advantage of. I've worked in sales before and have had many interactions with car salesmen/saleswomen so I am quite familiar with sales techniques, language and practices. Sal is straight up and honest and sincerely wants to satisfy his clients. In some instances he went above and beyond what any sales person has ever done for me. Product- I purchased/shipped the vehicle and the price (plus shipping) was under KBB and I was satisfied. Sal worked out some magic to get me an incredible rate for shipping that was well under other estimates and shipping only took 2-3 days. (The delivery driver was also incredibly nice and communicative). Upon receiving the vehicle, it was apparent that there were many issues that were not observed during our virtual test drives. I took the car for a test drive and as mentioned, I observed some issues that I needed to address with Sal. Before I could reach out to Sal to discuss the issues, he was already calling/texting me to confirm that the vehicle had arrived and that I was satisfied. We had some lengthy conversations about the issues I observed but if you're still reading- THIS IS WHEN I WAS BLOWN AWAY WITH SAL'S EXEMPLARY CUSTOMER SERVICE- Together we investigated and addressed every issue. We even spoke to the SNS in-house mechanic to iron out details of the issues. I also took the vehicle to my personal mechanic for diagnosis and to write up estimates as needed. Sal offered to help cover some of the expenses and even found parts needed and shipped them to me. I truly believe that if I lived closer to SNS auto, Sal and his team would have addressed all the issues for me but because I am an out-of-state buyer he worked with me in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE to make sure I was satisfied and that the vehicle was in the condition as advertised pre-purchase. It is important to note that I purchased the vehicle with an "AS IS WARRANTY" which typically means no warranty and the vehicle is sold as is- but Sal is a family oriented and honest professional and went the extra mile to ensure the vehicle met my standards. Overall Conclusion - it is now been about a month and half since I purchased the vehicle and I have finally completed all work needed to correct/fix issues. BUT I COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT SAL- He has been incredibly supportive and helpful to making sure the vehicle met my standards. As mentioned, sourcing parts and helping cover expenses while maintaining high levels of communication is more than I could have ever asked for. Some of you reading this might think that this should not be a 5 star review, but I am honestly incredibly happy and beyond impressed with Sal and SNS team for all they have done to make me a happy California client. I phoned and spoke with Sal who was very cordial sounding, so I drove over, looked at the car, really liked its appearance and condition and took it for a test drive. Buying a pre-owned vehicle, particularly one engineered like a Mercedes, can be stressful, but Sal was relaxed, friendly, humorous and not in the least the stereotypical high pressure salesperson. Sal is the "used car salesman" to a T! Talks a lot, comes off as a typical salesman. I came here looking for a vehicle that's my fleet for my business. He seemed straightforward, until I test drove the truck and some worries came up. Needless to say, I had purchased the truck and problems were apparent. The only reason why he is getting five stars off of a bad start, is because what he did, no car salesman has ever done for me and my hundreds of vehicle purchases in the past. He stuck by his word! He had me bring the truck in, his mechanic repair the problems, and he took care of me without charging more or switching numbers around. First let me say that if you are looking to buy a used, look no further than Sal at SNS Auto Sales. Sal offers great prices on quality cars and does so with excellent and honest customer service. In addition, Sal is upfront with documentation, license and registration fees, which he takes care of at a more than fair price. I have been a loyal customer of Lynnwood Honda for almost 20 years. After my teenage daughter totaled her Honda Civic, I was in the market for a used Honda for her. Lynnwood Honda had nothing in our price range, so I began to check other Honda car dealers. Klein Honda had a 2004 Honda Accord that seemed to fit the bill. Klein was prompt about trying to sell the car to me but when I inquired about getting a pre-sale mechanical inspection, I was told that I could but not have the car on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday and I could only have the car for a couple hours. In addition ,when I inquired about additional fees, I could not get a straight answer, only that the fees average around $675 and I would be reimbursed by the state for any overpayment (seriously?). Luckily thats when I found SNS Auto Sales. Sal had practically the same car for 20% less than Klein. When I showed up on a Saturday morning to have the car inspected by Lynnwood Honda Service, Sal said I could have all day to have it checked out. Furthermore, he informed that brakes would probably need work and that we could work out a deal to have them fixed if I purchased the car. My mechanic at Lynnwood Honda put the car through a rigorous and detailed inspection. The car came through with flying colors except for the brakes, just as Sal predicted. Needless to say, we made a deal to fix the brakes, trade in the old Civic and purchase the Accord. I could not be happier with my sales experience with Sal at SNS. A completely honest car dealer ! I am so glad we sold my car to him. We were moving permanently to Spain and the one thing we hadnt done was sell my car . We were busy selling our home and arranging transportation for our 3 dogs and cat, shipping 15 suitcases etc.. We showed up at his dealership at 6 pm the night prior to leaving for Spain. Let me first start off with, I hate car dealerships. I truly hate small car lots and have a natural aversion to the car lots off Lake City Way. That being said, I found a great deal on a car that we had been looking for so thought we would take a chance and check it out. Sal was as someone else stated, your typical used car salesman. Friendly, saying the right things, etc. I chalked that up to the job. We took the car for a test drive, found one thing wrong with it which Sal said he would fix and drove it home that night. The next day, we noticed it overheating. Brought it to Greg's Japanese Motors and they said it would cost an arm and a leg to fix. I was worried...really worried. We had bought the car "As Is". I drove my other car to Sal and told him the bad news, fully expecting him to shrug and point to the "As Is" clause in the paperwork. Instead, he called a couple of mechanics right there in front of me, explained what was wrong with the car, got a couple of quotes and arranged for the car to be fixed. We're talking thousands in repairs. He absolutely did not have to do that. Bottom line, Sal was not just doing his job by being friendly and saying the right things...he actually lived up to his persona. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another car from him again. Horrible place, took advantage of a single mother! I bought a Chrysler 300 sale price as 7000 the guy Sal said it had no issues showed me an invoice for repairs he had done to the car , 6 months later the car starts overheating!! I took it to a shop were they said it needed new head gaskets! Very costly!!! I started looking at all the paperwork I did with him he upped the price from 7000 to 12,000!!! Sal is a super nice person but you need to be a careful buying cars from him. He told us verbally that the car we bought had been checked out thoroughly by his mechanic and that all of its issues were taken care of. We saw all the great reviews and really liked Sal so we took him at his word. This was a big mistake. He either misled us about the condition of the car, or he conveniently hid under the guise of not knowing the details and trusting his mechanic. Nothing was in writing and he provided verbal assurance that it was a good car and good to go. The very next day after buying the car, the engine light went on and we noticed a significant amount of leaking oil. After a few more days the car engine started running poorly. Long story short, after a couple of frustrating weeks, we stopped trying to work with Sal's mechanic to fix it for "free" and took it to an independent auto repair shop and discovered it had significant issues that would cost thousands to repair. Sal was very apologetic and offered some funds to help with repairs which was nice. But he refused to take back the car (even at a discount) and ultimately we had to sell the car in desperation at 60% of the original purchase after just 2 months. My interactions with Sal were very nice but the car itself was a nightmare and we wasted thousands of dollars. I became very frustrated ultimately and the apologies started to feel empty after awhile. Be careful. read more

The '07 VW Passat we took home was in incredible condition, great mileage (just over 50,000), and a reasonable price of $5,999. I bought a car here in 2017 and it broke down right away, he fed me a bunch of BS about how his "mechanic would fix it" they claimed they replaced parts which was a bunch of crap. The car is UNSAFE considering im a single mom and needed something reliable for kids. The mechanic didnt fix anything the dash lights up with all kinds of errors, went back to try to work with him he is a selfish flake, he tried to up sell me total pieces of crap and it turned in to a HUGE argument and I left. I have filed a lawsuit, complained to the BBB, complained to the attorney generals office (which im still perusing) AND I found out through other car dealers Sal has actually been banned from auctions due to his faulty illegitimate business, He told me to my face "I usually only deal with illegal immigrants" I was appalled by that as I took it as he is taking advantage of people who have little and can't fight it. TO THIS DAY he has not contacted me about the car as it sits rotting in my driveway since it broke down and I refuse to pay to tow it anywhere. I was looking for a commuter car for my father who lives in Hawaii . I was quite hesitant to go to a small used auto dealer as they have terrible reputations. I have always gone to large dealerships to purchase my cars, but found a Toyota Corolla in the price range that I was looking for and it happened to be at SNS auto sales in Seattle, WA. When I arrived, Sal was very friendly and offered us home made Baklavas (which were absolutely delicious), but what stood out to me was his honesty about the vehicle. He informed me right away that the car had a negative carfax. Although, he also informed me that he was not sure what the details of the carfax was, he did let me know that it had a clean title. I definitely appreciated his honesty about the vehicle, which helped with the decision making of purchasing the car. He let me know that if there were any issues with the car, he will gladly assist in with getting wholesale pricing to fix the car, should any problems arise; which also helped with the decision of purchasing his vehicle. My boyfriend was definitely team Sal and assisting in pursuading me to get the car. Sal definitely appreciated his help and, at the end of our transaction, he took off an additional $50 off the purchase price; which was great. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was because the car did smell like cigarettes and when I did my due diligence at home the blue book value of the car was less than what I paid for it. I highly recommend Sal and SNS Auto Sales. I bought a 2001 BMW 325 wagon from him. Sal was very straightforward and let me know everything that he knew about the car, almost to a fault. Though the sales was very relaxed and not rushed, I found the vehicle I purchased to have a lot of problems. I bought the car being told the clutch was brand new, and it felt like it might be, until it started slipping. When I tried to confront the owner on the issues I was having, he wrote me a check to cover half the price of the parts. The car also came with no air conditioning (I bought it in the Fall so I didn't think to check it out), the passenger heated seat didn't work, and now, after replacing every other component, because I was told the clutch was new, I'm spending $3,000 on a new clutch. Although the deals seem very apparent, I would be cautious that corners were cut to drive down cost. If I can climb out of the overwhelming debt this purchase has caused me, I will definitely never do business with that man or that company. read more

Literally one of the worst experiences I've had. Saw an ad on Craigslist for a car, made an appointment at this dealership to check it out. The lady I talked to (Maria) was not only 20 minutes late, but was very unorganized. We walk up to the car, which was boxed in in a tiny corner tightly cramped between other cars. THIS WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE CAR FROM THE AD! The one advertised was very clean, new tires, leather interior, backup camera, etc. Both the pictures and the description featured the same things. The car I looked at was not very clean at all, bald tires, cloth interior, and was very obviously the wrong car. I mentioned this to her and she just said "oh, maybe we posted the wrong pictures". okay, you don't "mistake" both the pictures and the ad. Either way, I asked her "Since this is very obviously not as nice as the other car you claimed this was, whats the price on this?". She quoted $100 MORE than the other one (which also allegedly had the same number of miles). I drove over an hour to look at this car just to be lied to and have excuses made. She never even apologized for the "mix-up" or offered to re-negotiate price so I just walked away. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME AND HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!!! read more

We settled on a good price that was a win situation for us both, of course that was after I had the car checked by a mechanic which agreed 100% with the condition of the car that Sal claimed it to be in. I am now writing this about half a year after I purchased the car, and I continue to be entirely happy with the car and with my experience negotiating with Sal. I find him to be straight forward, kind, and overall a good representative of what a person in the business of sales should be.
