Green tea soft serve ice cream

This restaurant is always busy with a long line up. I came on a Monday evening, and it was packed. I paid $55 per person for a weekday dinner. Service was okay, it was hard at times to flag down our server and some of our items kept getting missed, but it was okay, they immediately tried to get our order correct. Meats are fresh and flavourful. Their salad, appetizer, and dessert bar have a decent variety. They have a soft serve machine. Seats are very comfy and spacious. The restaurant itself is pretty big too. Some of my favourite orders were the deep fried king oyster, pork, and short ribs. Overall, I would probably come back, this place hits the spot.

We were quite thrilled to try this new place out, and it was pretty busy! They don't take reservations for groups under 6 so just be prepared for a bit of a wait. I think that's pretty typical for most of these types of places now anyway. I loved the open salad bar. You can grab your sauces and salads yourself, along with some fruits and desserts. The tataki's were fantastic, both salmon and beef ones. I loved all the veggie and beef options available for bbq-ing, and they had great sushi options too! The scallop sushi (hokkaido roll) was the best one I think, and they also had fried capelin fish, which is a childhood favourite of mine. Absolutely enjoyed the wide variety of selection. Their short ribs were also really lovely. Sweet and well marinated. They had a large drinks selection and some specials going on for some asian pops. I was able to pick a few and take them home to enjoy, which was lovely. The only thing I didn't like were the desserts. Most AYCE desserts are meh. Their ice cream had a weird floral flavour and the rest of the puddings and things weren't that great. But honestly, we're not here for the desserts so it's ok. Definitely would want to come back again

New AYCE Japanese bbq that has quite a selection of items on their menu. Yelp waitlist only for tables under 6 ppl - it's very busy here. The spot is really solid that I've been back twice within a month. First time I made the mistake of coming on Father's Day, and the Yelp waitlist was oh so wrong with the estimated seating time. It was off by 2 hours. Second time on a regular day, the waitlist was much more accurate! But the food and selection here is so good that I keep thinking about this meal over and over again! Here's what's good on their menu: - Miso marinated steak - Prime kalbi - my favourite - Sweet soy marinated short rib - another favourite! - Sweet soy beef brisket - Garlic beef brisket - Sausage - Shishito pepper - Fried capelin fish - this one is a must get - so good! - Smoke salmo tataki - Hokkaido scallop roll - probably the best roll of the selection Love that they have both bbq items and sushi for you to pick from. It's a self serve appies and sauce station along with self serve dessert station. It definitely gets crowded around the self serve spots, but they're replenishing all the time. Overall - amazing ayce spot with delicious food!

So absolutely delicious. I can see why this place was slammed. Each cut of meat was perfect, especially the steak which we ordered multiples of. Meat aside, the self serve salad and sides bar, which included soup, was a great touch as well. The food here gets a 10/10 from me. Given how busy it was, it was a bit hectic - from the moment we stepped in, we had to wait a while for our table. We also had a massive table of over 10 people so it was a bit challenging to order sometimes (our fault). I'd love to come again with a smaller group to experience a more efficient dining experience, as we definitely needed more than 3(?) grills for our group.

Recently visited this new Japanese BBQ spot and was really impressed from the moment I walked in. The restaurant is beautifully designed and spotlessly clean, which set a great tone. The meat selection is wide, and the freshness really stood out, especially the unmarinated cuts. They let you actually taste the quality of the beef, and I personally preferred those over the marinated options. The sushi was also a pleasant surprise, they use just the right amount of rice, so the fish takes center stage. On the downside, a couple of things could be improved. Flagging down a server for additional orders can be tough when it's busy, ordering extra per round helps. Also, the dessert area felt a bit narrow and awkwardly placed; it could use a better station setup to avoid congestion. Overall, the food quality makes it worth a visit. I'll definitely be back for those unmarinated cuts and that sushi!

I made a reservation for my group of 7 on a Monday at 8pm. We got seated at 8:20pm. I believe reservations are only for groups of 6 or more. Like almost every other table there, we were also celebrating a birthday. For the celebration they play the HBD song on the speakers, bring out a LED board, a mini cupcake with candle and streamers too! It's a fun place. We paid $43.99/person for AYCE. Drinks are not included but soft drinks are so cheap, at $0.99-$1.99. Their drinks are not just the standard pop like Pepsi. There was a big selection of Asian drinks, most I've never heard of like fermented sparkling plum juice. There is so much variety of meats including seafood, a salad bar, sushi, desserts and a soft serve machine offering matcha and vanilla. I would say the quality of the meats here were very good. We had pork belly, short ribs, squid, garlic shrimp, cheesy corn, enoki mushrooms, and much, much more. You can easily get your money's worth especially since you have 2 hours to dine. I would just skip the beef finger meat as it was chewy. I especially like the bbq seasoning powder they provide. Our main waitstaff was Jason. He was incredible. But also all the staffs have been great. Service was fast and we got everything we ordered. For desserts they had tiramisu, coconut peach pudding, coffee pudding, creme brûlée, pear pudding, lychee pudding, mango pudding, red bean pudding and soft serve ice cream. They only accept debit or cash and there's an ATM available by the washrooms.

Brought the kids to this newly opened Japanese BBQ place, Yakiniku Legend (烧肉公社), and we absolutely loved it! Even for lunchtime, their lunch menu is already incredibly rich and offers a fantastic variety of options. The meats and seafood were fresh, high-quality, and delicious to grill. There's definitely something for everyone. The service is fast, inside decorations are modern , sleek with a high ceiling. The kids had a great time-- they even offer soft serve self served, and the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommend checking this new spot out--I like it a lot and will definitely be back!

Another fantastic addition to the Asian BBQ scene in the GTA. Yakiniku offers high quality meats, all self-cooked on a personal grill. They have a salad bar where you can also get all the fixings for your Korean style wraps like lettuce and kimchi. They also have different types of sushi for order, including raw beef and torched sushi. It's a truly pan-Asian experience. The restaurant is located inside a huge space within Hillcrest Mall. Despite its size, it's incredibly packed just because people in Toronto love lining up for stuff. The good thing is you can put yourself on a waitlist an then go shop around inside the mall. You'll need that flexibility because it can take 1-2 hours to get off the list. The price is on par with other BBQ places, about $50 for dinner. Overall a pretty good experience. Service was fast and attentive. I saw something on a table catch fire and a server booking it across the room to grab it and sprint back to the kitchen. Good on her.

Website link to Join waiting list don't work. In restaurants QR code for some people it works but when I scanned it didn't work. Very busy Truffle wagyu beef roll 2 piece each order, cold noodles, tacowasa, beef tataki, salmon tataki, sake clams, takowasa roll, udon, garlic shrimps. Large variety of choices and prime kalbi is also a must order and the crème brul Service is good

Food was fresh, but the sauce is a bit sweet for my liking Service are to speed, servers are very polite I had the lunch special $29.99 per person, I would not complain, I had 4 rounds of short ribs and 3 rounds of the beef stick

I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant! The quality of the meats are so good, everything was super tasty, and I love the variety that they offer. Some favourites include the marinated steak, prime kalbi, beef tataki, takoyaki, and steamed sake clams. Overall a really great experience

Great spot for Japanese style bbq. We came here on Mother's Day weekend and it was super packed even if we had a reservation we needed to wait a bit before getting seated. We have also been to the McCaul location, the RH location is wider and easier to sit with more space. There is also a cold bar to pick up some salads and soups before starting your bbq. Similar to the other location, it also has sushi options you can order. Flavours were good overall, and def would recommend.

New Yakiniku Legend bbq at Hillcrest Mall! It's between Sporting Life/Paris Baguette and the old Hudson Bay entrance. The restaurant is huge and spacious, however making reservation is mandatory or else the wait is going to be long. I made reservation for mother's day two weeks in advance. I got a text the same day asking me to confirm the reservation. I got there right at 5pm for my reservation and it was already PACKED. I had to make my wait to the front to show them my text. Instead of texting you again to let you know the table is ready, they just yelled your name so you should stay nearby. We got our table within 5 mins and the server told us there was a 2 hours limit. We got a bunch of meat to start off and walked up to the salad bar for some side dishes and desserts. You could go up and get your own drinks or the server could get it for you. The drinks by the fridge are $1 each and it's not something you would see at normal restaurants. They hired a lot of servers and they all spoke english, which was good. The hot dishes and sushi came a bit later but the meat came quick. Our favorite was the brisket and rib steak. It's a must order!! So tender and juicy. Yummm! No additional discount for cash (probably because of mother's day) and no senior discount. We will come back when the crowd dies down a bit.

Plenty of seating for different sized groups, and the walls are lined with either wine, cuts of meat or tanks filled with various sea creatures. For dinner, we always have to order the lobster and steak combo. The steak has consistently been a flavourful medium rare (to our preference) and there is so much meat from these lobsters! I can't pick which way I like the lobster cooked more - steamed or wok fried.. both are delicious. For additional dishes, you can't go wrong with the short beef ribs and the pea shoots with king oyster mushrooms are a great option if you're trying to add veggies to a meat-heavy meal. The service staff are always on top of it. They are always coming around to make sure we have enough water at the table and food came out so quickly. I can't wait to come back again soon!

When we arrived, he insisted that we did not have a reservation even after we showed our confirmation, and, instead of apologizing for what appeared to be the restaurant's booking system error, he tried to lecture us about how certain reservation websites do not allow large-group bookings. Rather than taking responsibility or working professionally toward a solution, his attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely inappropriate. Fortunately, the lady working with him was kind, professional, and genuinely tried to explain the situation and find a way to accommodate us. She deserves recognition for her efforts. Our group was in town for an eight-day conference with more than 3,000 attendees. Because of this experience, this restaurant has unfortunately been added to the "not recommended" list for this annual event. When restaurants host business travelers, the way guests are treated matters just as much as the quality of the food. Unprofessional treatment of customers and business partners can damage relationships and cost businesses significant opportunities. To anyone considering this restaurant: the food is excellent, but if you're planning an important business dinner or any special occasion, be aware that the wrong interaction at the front desk could ruin your evening. Great food alone cannot make up for poor management and unprofessional customer service.

Came here with some friends for the omakase special meal…read more Such a lovely overall standard omakase experience and meal. The highlight for me was probably the set of four starter appetizers, they were flavourful, delicately prepared and perfect way to start the meal. I liked the slightly pickled dish with cucumbers the best. We also had sushi prepared with fresh seafood. The rice was probably my favorite compared to other places I've been. It was perfectly seasoned rice, warm and cooked to have just the right texture, not overcooked and not undercooked. The rice held up well when picked up by hand and complemented the flavours of the fish. Finished the meal with a matcha flavored pudding flan type dessert which had deep matcha flavours. If you're a fan of matcha, you'd probably enjoy it too. All in all, the meal was enjoyable, the torched tuna sushi was probably my favorite sushi of the set and my least favorite was the egg/eel, I was expecting a sweet egg at the end so it unexpected.

The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. It meets different people's needs by offering both cooked and raw food options, and the sushi set definitely has great value for money.
